Its situated on top of a small hill with very serene view and have a silent atmosphere. We stayed here for 2 days and the stay was pleasant. The caretaker and family was taking good care of the guests and food they offered was also nice. Will recommend this place.

This place is definitely not worth the price they have listed themselves. Dont expect any service , the rooms are totally unhygienic. Very basic things you will expect wont be there like soap, towels in bathroom. There are 2-3 people only who are doing jobs of cook / server / housekeeping / cashier and everything else. The room paint was coming off the walls and out of 6 out of 8 lights were not working. The bedsheets etc were used. We decided to change out hotel next day. I will recommend not to stay here unless you are going with zero expectations.

I live in dubai and have been on a holiday to India and one of my friend recommended this hotel. Iam really happy to have chosen this place for our holiday. The location was perfect far away from the crowd and had we happened to have arrive in the middle of the night but still had a really warm welcome by the reception staff and checked in to our room which was very neat and clean. We had a great time throughout our stay and it was worth for every penny we paid. Overall an wonderful experience and would definitely would come back to this place for my next holiday.

Stayed at misty meadows in the month of May for 2 nights. This place is more of a home stay. The caretakers never bothered to clean the rooms for our entire stay. There is no space to keep your cloths. The food you get is what the caretaker wants to eat.I was pregnant and asked for upma for breakfast for next day to stay light on stomach but they served aalo poori cause the care taker wanted to eat that. They literally have no crockery and cutlery. They don't even bother to wipe the plates dry before keeping them on dining table.Food is not worth mentioning.Floors are never swept. There are flies in the dining area always. The caretaker had to be told every time to switch on the wifi, though the owner told us its complimentary.I would definitely not recommend this place to no one.Better spend a little more and stay at a place with better services.

Dear madam, We are very sorry for what has happened on your stay in MAY 2015 , we would have much appreciated if the review was given immediate after your stay and not after 5 months, as feedback help us to improvise. Also , reg your food , it will be highly impossible to cater individual needs, if so then we need to make 20 diffrent dishes every day as each customer will prefer a different meal. The meal are not prepared as per the chefs wish, but we do have a separate menu card were it is given what will be provided each day. As the breakfast is complimentary Moreover , to get a clear view, can you please give us the details of your stay, so we can check on what and where it went wrong and make sure such incident do not take place in future for other Guests .., We request you to please give us the date of arrival and no. of days you stayed and a copy of our invoice , As per our records, we do not have any customer with name Preethi or a pregnent customer . this will help us to check who the incharge person during that time and take action. Thank you once again for giving feedback , which makes us to serve better

First the good stuff: - Really good location and view of the hills beyond (better view on higher floors) - Good food (though, a bit expensive and gets repetitive if you stay more than 2 days) - Spacious rooms (though, absolutely no storage in our room) Now to the painpoints: - Low/no hygiene. flies everywhere in the dining room, cat in the kitchen; if you open the window for fresh air, be ready to welcome flies as well. Rooms will not be cleaned unless asked for; same goes for linen and toiletries. - No privacy. you can hear everything from the room next door; if you are above the dining area, you can hear that as well. This also means you can enjoy the quiet, serene surroundings only if there are no other large groups. - Bad construction: lots of seepage, leaks all over the building when it rains. - You'll have to ask for wifi to be turned on as it's off most of the time. In summary, not worth the price you pay. You may get a good resort with better service at the same range.

After a frantic search for a good hotel in Coonoor, found this place. Didn't have a chance to judge since there were not much reviews. Since I had very few options decided to take the risk. Overall the stay was good. But with some improvements has the potential to become one of top choices for the tourists. Pros: - Location: Close to outskirts of Coonoor but is easily accessible on the Coonoor Kotagiri main road, around 5kms from Sim's park. Located uphill above a tea godown it is insulated from the main road traffic. - Rooms are well maintained and clean with a balcony. If you have a choice select a room on the first or second floor for a view of the mountains and tea gardens. - Staff: The core staff comprises Mr.Kandaswamy, the owner along with Mani and his wife who also do the cooking. They are very courteous and do their best to satisfy our requirements. Improvements: - Very limited food options for breakfast and dinner. Only a couple of items. But whatever was cooked was quite delicious and home cooked food. Restricted room service. So for those of you who are expecting a resort kind of facilities and choices for food this is not the place for you. - The rooms have common walls and so lacks a bit of privacy. Also the room layout can be improved. Eg. The TV and the bed were located in diagonally opposite corners. Most of the channels were not coming properly. May be the owners should think of getting DTH connections. - Area around the property can be developed to have a garden, play area and may be a swimming pool. - On the days the property is fully occupied it is a struggle for Mani and his wife to serve everybody even though they do a good job. The dining room also cannot accommodate all the guests at once. So you might have to wait your turn. The food can get repetitive. Overall was a comfortable stay and the risk paid off.

This summer, Bangalore turned out to be hotter than the usual and there was extreme pressure from all corners to plan a trip to ooty or any other hill station. As usual, we just realized that there is an extended weekend ahead and we had to do a last minute planning on 30th April. During the course we realized that all the resorts around Ooty, Masinagudi and Mudumalai were full. So i decided to explore new options and came across misty meadows in coonoor. There are no reviews and only couple of images posted by the resort guys. Even extensive search in facebook and multiple social platform did not yield any results or feedback. But somehow i had gut feeling that this place would be ok for the family.I did not think twice ( May be because of the fact i had already got frustrated since many of my preferred choices were not available ) and booked it online through Agoda. I had tough time finding this resort in coonoor, since the google maps pointed to a wrong hill and most of the times we hit a dead end. So i got the resort number from website and called them up to get the direction. We reached the resort around 8 PM and it was tough to see the sourroundings. We got the keys and proceeded to the first floor, the room was really spacious ( i opted for the family comfort room ) . It has a small living area and a balcony attached to the room. The living area is on a lower level from bed. I had seen the same set up in Thamara ( Coorg ) and it is interesting. Since it was late evening, we opted for the dinner from the resort and we were served with hot chapathis and veg curry. We really enjoyed the food here ( Thanks to Mani(chef) and his family ) , even though they got very limited menu the food was really tasty. The place is completely disconnected from the noise of the town and there are no buildings around. I stayed there for 2 nights and it was an excellent experience for me and i will go again. + ves ---------- The place is away from the town and there are no buildings or houses around. You get good privacy and time to get closer to nature. The food really stands out, it is really tasty. Thanks to Mani The rooms are really spacious and clean. You get a feeling of an extended home in Nilgiris. - Ves ---------- It is not a complete resort, you will miss lot of things like 24 hour room cleaning, Coffee shop, entertainments, Daily cleaning etc. You may get good resorts for the same price point with all the facilities and in that case it may not be a complete value proposition for you. The balcony railings are not child safe . I booked the stay using agoda and somehow i felt that they charged me more. I have raised a ticket with them and following it up with them. So if you have an option, use booking.com or call up the resort guys directly.
