Extremely poor quality rooms. We were told that the room we booked would be mountain facing but all i could see was garbage outside. The balcony was dirty...filled with crow dropping and tiles were broken. The bathroom was dirty and shower curtain had fungus in it. We refuse to stay and left the so called BOUTIQUE HOTEL with total disgust. We started our visit to Coonoor with bad experience.
I went in last week to Conoor and stayed in this Orchid Square A Boutique Hotel. A very first day i ordered Chettinad chicken, this was not at all authentic , rather it was just like water poured into chicken curry. I had been told that you need to wait for 15-20 mins, however this food came to my room after calling multiple times that too after an hour. Also in bathroom, water was getting choked. In breakfast, Medu vada was tasteless(had no salt ) and even multiple customers raised a constraints about the food, either it had no or too much of salt. Also there were no juices, no fruits, no millets, no salads etc in the breakfast. Also at the time of the checkout, management gave a pen to the customers and insisted for a good review in return. I would recommend you not to visit this hotel, unless you have no options leftover.…
Visited orchid square restaurant in Coonor and I had a very bad experience. Initially they told me to wait for 25 minutes. But staff were allotting tables to people who came after us and they made us wait indefinitely. Finally came out without food after 45 minutes of waiting. And also there is no proper response from staff. Avoid visiting during peak times and when you are in a hurry.
Some places leaves a smile on your face , this hotel is one of them not far from city and market this pretty hotel with very courteous staff , very distinct menu , good hygiene is perfect place to explore the city ! We encountered one strange medical issue and I must say the hotel was kind enough to help . Special thanks to MrRamesh who is in reception staff who responds very quickly. Overall good property with well trained staff.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Tucked away in a very conveniently isolated place which opens up to almost all sight seeing points. Rooms are big with a big balcony sit out area with reasonably good views. The damaging point is the toilet. The architect could have added 2 ft more to the toilet by reducing the room and balcony. Quite a stupid designer. Or else the room comes with a tea maker and excellent balcony sit out. The down points are the smallest of toilet and very small lobby or common areas. Stairs also are quite untidy. These needs correction. As for transport, they have an auto stand right in front of the office. Cars are at call and reasonably priced. Food at the restaurant Aroma is excellent. The chinese section is excellent as also are other food. Chinese is available all round the day while other sections go by breakfast, lunch and dinner timing. The hotels is a good choice at these price point.…
Hotel is located in residential area of Coonoor. It gas 14 rooms on three floors. No lift. Rooms are of good size and furnished very well. Bathroom is small but well designed. Room has very nice pictures. Restaurant provides excellent food with reasonable price.
It was a wonderful experience and stay at the Orchid Square. Amazing staff, excellent service and delicious food. Very warm feel to the rooms and very hygienic. Would love to go back and stay there again. The restaurant is a totally an added advantage with the variety of foods served with so much love. A must visit place.

We had lunch on 30dec with family. We ordered Briyani, chicken kebab and prawn pepper together with chicken fried rice all the food taste are excellent. kids enjoyed food. Nice service 👍. Atmosphere of the hotel is awesome. I recommend this hotel
Visited this place with family. The location is good close to a huge tea estate, the staff were courteous and above all the food was great. You should try their non-veg gravy dishes, biryani and the halwas are a must if you have a sweet tooth. Ensure to book a super deluxe room if you are travelling with family as it’s spacious and has a huge lawn attached. We look forward to visiting this place again.
