We stayed here at the end of a carefully customised adventure organised by ExplorIndya in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The care and attention that Rajat Kumar, his extensive team and contacts, and his friendly family provided, was really outstanding. Throughout our two weeks we were safe, stimulated by meeting delightful people and seeing such amazing aspects of Indian life. With...

I stayed for three days in a spacious cottage with views of trees which were good for bird watching. Excellent service which included early morning tea grown by the owners. Really good food. I recommend a cooking lesson with Renu. Aakriti is the best Homestay which I have experienced. A warm, loving family.

This is my 3rd visit to Aakriti. The family are so friendly and helpful and very open. You can have real discussions about India, religion and family values etc. This can make staying a great learning experience of India. Renu is a fantastic cook hence the meals are wonderful and you sit to eat with members of the family, not...

It is hard to imagine meeting a more hospitable family! Our conversations over the wonderful meals was very wide ranging and stimulating! And the food...what can we say? Fabulous kitchen, and wonderful cook who tried very hard to teach us how to do it ourselves! The location in the hills is fantastic and our walks through the tea plantations was...

We stayed 3 nights at Aakriti in the middle of a 2-week tour of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. It was one of the many highlights of our tour, particularly special as it was our only homestay and we benefitted from the superb hospitality offered by Ravi and Renu. Some of the many highlights: - Comfortable and delightfully quirky rooms -...

4 of us stayed 3 nights as part of a 3 week tour of Tamil Nadu in January this year. It was a fantastic homestay experience. The whole family made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. For me, the food was just incredible, and I regularly cook one of the recipes we were taught. There is a...

Over the course of just three nights we came to regard the Kumars as family, and it feels very odd to write a review about people you care about! As we arrived, Renu welcomed us 'home' and put us immediately at ease (it was the first time we'd stayed in a homestay and weren't quite sure what to expect, only...

This was one of the highlights of our 2 week holiday in southern India. It was the only homestay where we shared meals with the family, which we must appreciated and which was the occasion for lively conversations and much hilarity. We also got to share in their passioh for food, some of the best we had while in India...

My friend and I had an amazing stay with Rajat and family. From the opening dinner when we were invited to eat an amazing homecooked meal with them in their home to all our adventures walking the tea fields, exploring a tea factory, walking the market, and riding the historic railroad, we were well taken care of. Rajat spent way...

We stayed for three nights in the lower cottage which was cosy and comfortable with nice views and colourful birds just outside the window. The Kumars are a lovely welcoming family who made our stay full of interesting experiences - the tea plantation, Ooty Market and the train ride from Coonoor. A real highlight is the food cooked by Renu...
