We booked a room at Coonoor Club for a trip during April 2017. Its truly a gorgeous club & we were given a very large room with a huge bathroom as well. Coming to the service, firstly the staff struggle with language, just about 1 or 2 know English. Rest all communicate only in Tamil. They do make an effort...

This is a British club almost a century old. We spent 3 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed. 1) Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. 2) Food was tasty..the club has a vegetable garden which grows cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower. The veg sandwich is so sumptuous you can taste each vegetable since it is so fresh. Bar snacks like peanuts are...

Got bookings at the club through an affiliation.. Very spacious rooms (Bedroom + Hall) Perfect location, close to Sims park (Similar to botanical gardens) The club, established in 1885 is cozy and beautiful. Gives u a resort feel.. Glad i chose to stay here. Do not expect great service.. Food is limited but tasty. Very friendly staff

It was a lunch visit on sunday. We saw the rooms which have been renovated and comfortable. The club is very old and a family friendly club. People coming here are regulars who come to play cards and spend time with friends. Nothing much for a traveller

The Coonoor Club is a small pleasant inexpensive retreat with attentive service and large spacious rooms. Evenings are lively with members having card games or socialising in the lounge bar. Expect well informed conversation. The food is routine
