Fairy Glen- A charming home-stay nestled in the hills of Coonoor, TN. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and over crowded hill stations, then this place is for you. My family and I stayed here from 21st- 24th Nov’23 and we had a lovely time here (read- well fed and taken care of!) Waking up to birds chirping, the fog descending slowly was bliss- the rooms were cozy and perfect, the board games made for fun family time bonding and the food was delicious! Special mention and thanks to Srinivas, Regina and Fathima for being super helpful, kind and prompt with their service. And of course a heartfelt thanks to Uzma for letting us experience a home away from home! A must visit in Coonoor!

We tried a homestay for the first time and were so pleasantly surprised with the outcome. The staff - Mr Nivas, Regina, Fatima are so genuinely sweet and helpful , taking care of every minor requirement. The owner - Ms Uzma herself kept in touch with us throughout and shared some lovely tips and advice on places to visit and eat. The home itself is a beautiful heritage cottage with a lovely garden and terrace overlooking a tea estate, that too in the middle of town !! Could not have asked for a better place, with mouth watering food prepared as per our preference, thank you for the super time !

One of best stays ever. We actually missed the complete experience, due to a very late check in and an early check out. Beautiful and safe premises with wonderful staffs. The food was amazing with true homely touch.

We enjoyed a pleasant and restful time at Fairy Glen. The most proactive and accommodating was the host, Ms. Uzma Irfan. Communication was clear and efficient thru WhatsApp. All neighborhood /hidden places to eat, visit, and shop were suggested. The modest two-bedroom house, which sleeps four people, appeared to be exactly as pictured, with orange, passion fruit, and strawberry mini farm beds/trees. The front garden of the house is large and immaculate. This is the perfect place to relax away from Ooty's bustle. Kids loved the indoor games, the swings in the front garden, and the rocking chair on the terrace. The food was fantastic! All of our breakfasts, lunches, and dinners were homely, authentic, and healthy. Nivas was gracious and arranged for a driver to drop off at Coonoor station, pick up at Lovedale, and then drop off again in our own car. Regina, Fathima, and Nivas provided us with amazing hospitality, making our visit one to remember.  We would absolutely go back! Fairy Glen is one of the best places to stay in the area.

If you're wondering how Fairy Glen has such good ratings, well its because it is TRULY EVERYTHING it promises to be. We were a family of 3 adults and 3 kids and we have such warm memories of our stay at Fairy Glen. The entire experience- from the time of booking to post checkout, will surpass your expectations. The feeling is as if you are staying at your own or a friend /family's property. The host, Uzma is so gracious, offering her help and recommendations at every step, and the little team that manages the premises go above and beyond to ensure that you are comfortable. For example we had a small incident where the bathroom lock got jammed, but the enitre team was on it and within 5 minutes a carpenter arrived and resolved the issue. The house is well maintained and functional and stocked with all the essential things you may need- like a flashlight, an ironing board and iron box, board games, water bottles, etc. The food was delicious and homely. The garden was like out of a victorian novel with a swing where you can spend all day reading or just soaking in the natural beauty. The house overlooks tea estates and the view from the balcony is serene and breathtaking. The house is located in a good neighbourhood and there are a lot of cute Cafe's and restaurants nearby. The manager Nivas made the effort to book us tickets on the train at our request, Regina made the best meals and Fatima took care of our every little need. Thank you so much team Fairy Glen for making our stay so memorable.

We had a fabulous experience during our recent 4 nights’ stay at Fairy Glen, Coonoor. It’s a lovely property located at the end of a winding lane on the road that climbs up from the Coonoor Bus Stand towards Bedford Circle. We were the sole occupants of the comfortable 2 bedroom-cottage with its own terrace, ideal for a family of four. The hosts and staff pay attention to the smallest details to ensure the comfort of their guests. The cook, Regina, ensured that the food was exactly as per our preferences. Both the veg and non-veg fare was excellent. The staff is unfailingly polite and courteous. The hosts guided us about the sight-seeing in Coonoor and recommended some excellent eateries to sample local cuisine. Autorickshaws are available for local attractions like Sim’s Park, Dolphin’s Nose etc. This place is ideal for a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of Ooty. If you don’t fancy visiting the usual tourist hotspots, you can simply relax in a rocking chair on the terrace or laze around the beautifully kept lawns around the house or play with the local cat who is a regular visitor. We even spotted a giant Malabar squirrel on one of the trees! All in all, we had a most wonderful time at Fairy Glen and I would always prefer staying here to a stay at any luxury hotel in crowded Ooty!
