I have been there to Coimbatore recently for a friend's bro marriage. Stayed in SBS Grand for a day. The hotel is at walkable distance from hopes college circle/junction on Avinashi road, where all the outstation buses (buses from Coimbatore to Bangalore, Chennai and other major cities) have a pick up and drop point. The hotel is also conveniently located near CODISSIA trade/exhibition center, Coimbatore international airport, CIT college and many more major places. Has very good connectivity to city buses as well. The hotel is not very big; but well maintained and very neat. I have not tasted food over there as I went for the marriage function :)
For Wifi users - U have to collect the password from the reception, which has validity of only one hour. Not sure how many times we could get a new password !!

I had been there to Coimbatore last week , and i happened to get a call from the hotel when i had made an inquiry with Just dial.I reached the hotel at 11 pm , I found it very good and every thing was in order right from the reception to the well designed room. I would recommend this hotel for sure.

Stayed here in July 2019 for HoReCa event. Will come again. Courteous service and decent room. Decent South Indian breakfast item. They allowed me early check in and provided me with a complimentary breakfast on my last day of the stay.

It is a very new hotel and the rooms are very good. The decor was very nice. And the food was excellent. The service was ok. The staff just need a little more training. On the whole it is a value for money hotel. It is pretty close to the airport and also easy to locate if you are travelling by road.

Stayed 1 night with family in this hotel. The service was average and i found the staff also unfriendly. this hotel is less than 6 months old hope they will improve service and others in the time to come.
If you do not have a choice, go to this hotel.

I had booked rooms for my friends on 11th March 2015 ended up with bad experience as the hotel management showed complete disrespect. When we try to check-in for the day at mid-night, they claimed checkin allowed after 12 noon but there is no mentioning of check in timing on the booking voucher and their website claims 24hrs checkin. Especially Mr. Praveen Manager went ahead and mentioned that he doesn't need any customers via Goibibo as he doesn't have to show any respect for guests for any clarification I should call Goibibo as we booked with an offer like we stayed for free. His behavior is pathetic. Looked like Goibibo doesn't pay them for our stay. Sincere advice don't book via Goibibo as you end up loosing your dignity.

Dear guest...we understand your feelings. But unfortunately we are helpless too, because all the travelers knows this thing ALL THE ONLINE BOOKINGS WILL GET 12 NOON CHECK-IN CHECK-OUT ONLY. This is the reason why the guest getting more discount than direct booking. Yes we definitely agreed that 24 hrs check-in and check-out we offered, but its effect only for the direct booking guests. So we humbly requesting you to check with all the online portals and leave all the negative thinking about us. GOIBIBO is one of our good business partner and they knows us well about SBS GRAND. Rude and greedy manager... Refused to give room even after i had advance booking..staff told me room is available but manager said no room available and offered me more expensive room... I had to roam around for one hour to get another hotel...greedy hotel management.
So if you have advance booking to this hotel expect no room vacancy or more money for same room.

Hotel SBS grand, was great staying thee. Newely built hotel with fantastic food.. complimentary break fast. Food is excellent. Easy access to all parts of coimbatore. Close to airport.

Stayed in the hotel on 25th Dec as a stop over to my trip to Allepey from Bangalore. This is a decent budget hotel with all the amenities like LCD TV(Tata Sky), Centralized AC, 24 hours hot water supply. The room service was good and fast. Got a decent deal from ibibo for Rs 1200 for Standard Double AC room. The plus point is that the hotel is located well within the city and it still didn't took me time to drive my car there. They had a small parking area which could accomodate 3-4 cars. I was lucky to get one of them.
Checked out early morning, so didn't had a chance to have the breakfast. Overall had a pleasant stay at the hotel.
