This is to highlight the superb facilities and the attention and care the staff showed during our stay . The hotel was very neat, in a superb location and had great dining facilities. From the staff at the door , the people at the desk , the staff in the restaurant and the people who cleaned our rooms, everyone was cheerful and happy to help. The view from the rooms was spectacular. It made our stay in CBE feel like being in a home away from home . Kudos to the management and thanks to the wonderful staff.
I must add that honestly amongst the staff was phenomenal because I got back a bag that I had misplaced in the laundry which had RS 35000 which is equivalent to $450 !!!
My next stay when I get back from the USA would be definitely in a Taj hotel.

I was traveling from abroad to CBE and wanted to be in quarantine for 1 week. Based on information given by my friends, I came to know they are offering a quarantine package here. Right from when i enquired, they were always professional and immediately provided a confirmation for my stay after getting my details and ID proofs. The package provided was nominal for 7 days stay along with food for all 3 meals. I reached around mid-night and was welcomed at the reception by Mr. Durgesh who took utmost care to ensure a seamless and safe check in process. The initial screening process was thorough where they checked my temperature, ensured i sanitized my hands, filled the guest register and they also completely sanitized all my luggages. The check in process was contactless and they sanitized the credit card, room entry card etc. They generally do not transport luggage to the room in Taj during this COVID 19 situation. Since i was directly traveling from the airport and was already tired by the 27 hour journey, Durgesh was kind enough to offer to transport my sanitized luggage until my floor using the sanitized luggage cart. They provide contactless room service of food, mineral water (unlimited) and essentials like towels, etc. The food is a little spicy so may not suit all the age groups. However, they do make adjustments and accommodate based on your needs. Since room cleaning is not provided during this pandemic time, they also offer a free room exchange if required. They also do a mandatory temperature check for all guests everyday to ensure safety. I would recommend this place for any one who wants a comfortable, safe and secure stay with good service during these unprecedented pandemic times.

Ideally located in Coimbatore good rooms excellent breakfast - South Indian as well as American options do try the Pongal and Idiyappam. This is by far the best location in Coimbatore and the Race Course Road gives a clean and airy 2 km circuit for joggers and walkers. Well equipped gym. There is a pleasant surprise - an Olympic sized pool however closed presently due to Covid regulations

Given that the country was in a lockdown and we had the wedding scheduled, the property ensured that we were not inconvenienced but still stayed safe. They made sure our family stayed on one level and ensured that the sanitising was done regularly. Our luggage was also subjected to thorough sanitizing before we received it in the rooms. Break was on in-room and they made sure that all guest were taken care of.

Taj Vivanta , Coimbatore proved to be the most fortunate and blessed choice for our long haul stay at Coimbatore while our grandmother got operated and recovered at Ganga Hospital . Right from the security guards, the front desk staff , the restaurant staff , the assistant manager to the managers, everyone was actively involved in making our stay comfortable and welcoming !
Vivanta prepared light meals for us during our hectic 12 hour hospital visits and customised the experience depending on our moods. We got instant housekeeping and in room dining assistance and they definitely went out of their way in engaging in regular conversations and updates on our family members condition . They made us feel like family and we couldn't have asked for anything more!
This is a must visit property not only for their well managed hotel but also for their intimate interactions and cozy environment !

All the staff that we met were very courteous especially Krishan in Lattitude restaurant and the security person. Our kids had a wonderful time exploring the Christmas decorations and the location was so perfect that we also didn't have to travel too much to see the important places. I am writing this review while I am still staying at the hotel.
Lets start with the good things:
The hotel entry is very impressive. They spent a lot of time to impress you when you enter the hotel. The security scans when you enter the hotel is a bit awkward but understandable.
They were very welcome when I approached the reception. After the normal paperwork I was given my room key and escorted to my room.
This is where things kinda went wrong...
You would have expected that the same standard of the entrance would be replicated to the rooms. It was not. The room was dated, worn down, and very smelly. It is not the Chemical clean smell you sometimes get in a hotel, it was more like a - smoking meets dirty laundry with a hint of mould - smell.
It was late, I was very tired and I thought let me just get some sleep and i will sort it out in the morning. Well lets just say, I did not get any sleep. This was probably the most uncomfortable bed i have slept in since I left University. It was Hard and lumpy and I have marks and back-pain to show for it.
The Bathroom especially the shower room, was very disgusting with mould clearly visible on the floor and the corners. It just did not feel 5 star, but more what you would expect from a Motel.
Even after discussing this with hotel reception, they did not take ownership of the problem. I think it is more a problem that the staff is not empowered to resolve any issues like this.
If you are expecting a 5 star hotel with 5 star rest and sleep quality, then this is not your place to go. I Would not recommend this to friends or family as there are better hotels in the area at the same price such as the Le Meridian.
I have another 5 days left at this hotel. :(

Excellent stay, suberb service, all departments good support. My Guest felt so good. Personalized service, individual attention. Made me happy when I hear from my Guest. I have booked superior room for my guest who has coming from Chennai.After checking all the hotel,we met Thameemul Ansari Front Office Manager,at Vivanta Coimbatore,he has taken the ownership of my booking and explained also shown all the protocalls like social distancing,mask worn by all the guests,special sanitizer available predominantly in all the areas,also the security team is checking the temperature and getting signature in the disclaimer form,room has been completely sanitized with proper resting and they have taken personal care for all the guests,we also used Laundry,felt clean, neat,crisp and disinfected, Strongly recommend for all the traveller's who like to stay in a safe, hygiene place,this is the best hotel.I have already given 1 more room booking for the another guest who is arriving tomorrow, who was a regular guest to Le Meridian coimbatore. We stayed here just for a day as a transit stay. In Middle of Kovalam - Kolar.
Check in process was hygienic n comfortable. I just loved the rooms , Felt like am home not in a hotel.
Appreciate the quick response & fix from plumbing team at 10.30 PM when we found a nonstop water flow in the toilet.
I just loved the food on arrival night, which was served in room.
Next morning i hit their gym, which is pretty big n has all equipment's, Even the rowing machine. I loved this my time, And housekeeping were so attentive to sanitize after i finish my workout on each machine. Then the buffet breakfast was with huge options, But south Indian dishes were average, Dosa & Idlie was not upto the mark. Vada was so dead, "No crisp".
And then met this gentlemen front office manager, "Sorry I forgot his name" who was keen to know about our stay & to serve us better. Overall a good one day stay, Will stay only in Taj where ever i go. Just for their best hospitality.

Not much procedures.. Simply ask permission to get into your room through reception. In turn hotel will seek permission from you to meet.. Thas all
I was checked in as a single... so don’t know. However, I’m sure in this day and age, even in India, you okay. Only place I know this to be a problem is parts of the Middle East..
It is in the city center , very close to shopping areas
The hotel does offer buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. However only the breakfast is likely to be part of your stay package
