As its name implies, Misty Creek Homestay is an idyllic, pleasing and picturesque spot of natural simplicity and happiness. Here every room offers mesmerizing views. You can enjoy the mist rolling down in the warmth of luxuriously furnished rooms and it is literally a honeymooner's paradise. The property is far enough to shut out the hustle and bustle of Valparai town and close enough to reach it in 5 minutes by vehicle.

Misty creek host Benny is an awesome helpful host. The rooms are really nice, specious, clean and having wonderful view. I would say the best view of Valparai is available from the balcony. There are 3 floors. Best is 2nd floor which is adjacent to the road. There are 2 rooms at 2nd floor and rooms have great balcony with French window. Can enjoy outstanding view laying on the bed as well. At 1st floor, one room has good view but the balcony is shared and fine. Rooms are nice. Ground floor also has 2 rooms with private balcony and probably view will be quite nice. Benny is fantastic host and wonderful person. I really enjoyed talking to him. Very nice place for family vacation. They provide breakfast also and you have to order what ever you want. It is not on the main road but just 300 mtrs from there. But that is the beauty since the view is mesmerizing with tea garden, hills, valaparai town, a small river and outstanding greenery. Parking is also available.

Misty Creek was recommended to us by a friend who had enjoyed a wholesome family holiday there. He gave us Frank’s number. Frank is the property owner and we struck an immediate rapport over the phone. We went there on Jan 4, 2021 and stayed there for three nights. We drove there and the uphill drive from Aliyar dam was very enjoyable, particularly once the mist set in. Frank’s hospitality is wonderful and he ensured that we lacked nothing. The food from a nearby hotel was very tasty and I would advice everyone to take Frank’s suggestions regarding what to order. Frank is obviously a foodie. We drove around town and the tea estate roads and snapped a lot of photos. We stopped at random tea shops and roadside cafes for appalam bajji and fried dam fish. It was a complete break from our busy schedule back in Chennai. We slept late and hung out on the balcony taking in the breathtaking view of the creek and the tea estates. Frank took us for a night safari in his personal SUV and we spotted quite a lot of wildlife though unfortunately none of the carnivores as it was raining on and off during the nights. My son loved the monkeys especially. We had dinner on the terrace with Frank on the night before we left and he regaled us with incidents from his life in ValparaI. It’s obvious that wildlife conservation is a topic that’s very close to his heart. Frank has now become a friend too and we definitely plan on returning to Misty Creek again. Valparai is still pristine and unpolluted and the air seems to unclog all the blocked pores in your body.

What can you call the feelings experienced when you stay in a spic & span Room with a balcony overlooking a natural stream, dunes of green hills and in the morning waking up to a beautiful song from the Malabar Whistling Thrush ( called the Whistling boy).. Its pure Bliss.. Millions of Thanks to Mr.Frank Benjamin who holds this property and has maintained it excellently. He is a down to earth person and understands each visitors requirements and caters them with aplomb. Mr.Frank is ably supported by Subhash who will be extremely helpful to us and has a good knowledge on the Local conditions plus Ramkumar a quiet " always available " person who will be running around to take care of our needs With these kind of people around , one is assured of peace and rest, as they take care of our requirement whatever it may be. Real meaning of Homestay is practiced here. A must stay in Valparai for families and groups

We had the pleasure of staying in Misty Creek in August 2019. We were a group of 8 Adults and 2 children, as we were all part of the same family we were accommodated in a same floor in different comfortable rooms. There is entertainment for all the age group in this place the adults were entertained with a great night safari organised by Frank and his team. An evening to remember the troupe knows exactly where to go, stop and what to look for, if you’re into wild life and adventure, this place would be the best place to stay in Valparai, India. The accommodation itself was very clean and spacious and all the rooms had a view overlooking the mountains and certain rooms had an even better view with a balcony to sit down and unwind the evening. The roof top is another awesome feature of this place, nice breezy evening we spend here, where you can do a lot of things in this place, my son enjoyed boxing here and running around while the adults were sitting and relaxing the evening.

Stayed here for 3 nights with family during the 2019 Christmas. Opted Misty Creek based on a reference from a friend. We were 4 families and Frank (Owner of the property) allotted us an entire private unit. The views from the balcony are amazing. The service is fantastic and the staff are very helpful. Though they don't have a restaurant, they can arrange good home made food. You just need to tell your order couple of hours before. They have immense knowledge on the places around. If you love wildlife ,check with Frank on places to visit , he will guide you with the right time to visit and spot wildlife. We were able to spot Elephants , Hornbills based on their suggestions. Overall a quiet and safe place to stay with family.

Very aptly named by Frank (owner) as you get to see both mist and creek from the Home stay. The staff particularly Perumal was very courteous. Home stay is at a great location. The tiles outside the rooms, pathways and in balcony needs to be cleaned or replaced with Vitrified tiles. The parking area could also be tiled to make look better otherwise a great place to stay. Frank is a great person to interact with and very helpful.

Stayed here for one night with my family on 16th December and we had a great time. It was my first visit to Valpara and we opted this place purely based on TripAdvisor reviews. Owner Frank is a wonderful person and he is well connected in Valpara area which will make you comfortable. Drive to Valpara from Athirappally is a wonderful experience. Also the drive from Valpara to Pollachi.

Stayed with my family during my trip to Valparai during last week of May. Some of the rooms have a good valley view. Has easy access to bus stand and market. Benny and Jenny are very good in taking care of guests. Has WiFi facility and car parking facility. Food is not available here. However, they arrange for home made food if ordered. The quality of food arranged is also good. Will suggest everyone to stay here during the visit to Valparai.

I, my wife and 2 children had a one night stay at this small but neatly maintained homestay. A double bed room, sufficient furniture, a perfect modern bathroom all blended perfectly. The weather was cold and hence the heater in the bathroom was a blessing. Nice view from the balcony, an added bonus. The owner, Mr.Frank and his team were helpful. Kudos to the homestay.
