This hotel I visited after a decade. It has lost its charm. The rooms look small. The bathroom fittings look jaded. The restaurant at the ground level ( near the car park) was having only limited items due to COVID. The taste of food is no we’re near the one I remember from the past
This is one of the oldest and reputed hotels in Coimbatore. Maintenance and service wise it was superior. Their complimentary breakfast spread was awesome loaded with tasty dishes. Located centrally it makes access to the prominent places in Coimbatore easier. Pleasant stay!! Thumbs up!!
Tha food counter was very nice midnight Food counter very good and service people was very take care , good people nice food kima dosa chicken curry was yummy munusamy did that great job take care of us have wonderful buffet
I booked this hotel based on the reviews itself. The Rooms were clean and Well maintained. Staff were helpful and cordial. I was there for a Single night , they have a decent menu for the Buffet breakfast , have ample Car parking space, Centrally located. My only negative feedback is they should have kept a branded Mineral water bottle in the Rooms instead of Local one. Hotel is good all category of travelers. I recommend this hotel for other travelers also to plan for their stay if visiting Coimbatore and I surely would like to experience this hotels hospitality once again, if an opportunity to visit this city arises in future.
By today's standards, HAG would be seen as a tad old fashioned. Rooms are small. very clean. Complimentary WiFi. Windows are the old bolt and swing open type and has horizontal bars across them. Faucets are old looking. Brilliant air-con with an on-off switch and a quaint knob that has four settings from 1 to 4!. Good food. Decent dinner and breakfast buffet. Just a bit too spicy for me though. Their artifacts are models of vintage cars and bikes (behind locked glass display cases). Polite staff. Priced reasonably too. All in all a good stay experience of 2 nights.
I have stayed there before and stayed here again for one night. It is a great property and I would very very highly recommend it. Rooms are nice and clean and great value for money. I tried the suite this time and it is incredible value for money. Large rooms, big living room, lovely bathroom. Overall a great place. Loved their restaurant as well. I would very very highly recommend that you try some desserts at their Cafe Gluttony! The brownies are just incredible! Look forward to visiting this place again this year.
We had been there for a Buffet Lunch costing 800+ .Hoping the standard of Yester years ,went through the menu .The cheapest possible Veg/Non-veg Dishes even without Egg.Mutton pieces were half cooked and my grand daughters could see the hair of goat/lamb.Just finished and quit the dining hall-as we were not ready to create a scene and spoil the atmosphere.
Stayed with my family on 4th & 5th November 2018. The rooms are maintained well. Front office staff were very helpful. A Vintage car welcomed us. Complimentary breakfast variety and tasty. Ample parking. Overall good and well maintained one.
Since the buffet in main restaurant got closed , we were forced to take the mid night buffet which was charged 325 per head. It was very reasonable considering the fact that they gave fish curry, chicken curry , Biriyani, Tamarind rice, curd rice, dosa, eggs , veg curries etc. Its highly recommended for midnight owls.
This is a favourite hotel and every time in this city i stay here. Very good food, courteous staff, ambience, etc. The room is tidy and cozy. Whether with family or otherwise, it's a good choice. Not very expensive for the quality... so its a value for money. A pleasant surprise is 24 hours check out. What else you could ask for !
