Great place, very friendly and helpful owner, lovely clean and spacious rooms, hot water' brilliant location. Lovely peaceful rooftop bar and restaurant with WiFi (although it goes off sometimes!). I would definitely stay here again, I was sad to leave. Amazing location too - lovely town and friendly people. Stay here if you can :)

The Aravali View is a Labour of Love for owner Hussein, which is why I gave this title. The building is beautiful and overlooks the lake. We had the room in the photos with the bay window. After 2 months travelling around India this is our favourite hotel. If you stay find time to talk to Hussein , a very friendly and interesting man , with a big vision for this lovely hotel.

I booked this place based on all the great reviews on this website and was shocked when I arrived here with my partner. It was literally a building site, inside and out, with rooms set amidst the construction. Our first reaction when we arrived was to leave immediately and look for other accommodation. However, being peak season, all other better accommodation within the old city was fully booked out, so we had no choice but to stay.

Directly next to this accommodation is a mosque and a parking lot / tuk-tuk pick up spot. Our room on the first floor, which supposedly was the best room, was also directly below the rooftop terrace and seating. Consequently, we had to put up with the noise from early morning wake-up calls, tuk-tuks, motorbikes and cars below us, as well as tables and chairs being dragged above us. The location, although next to the lake (with great views) and close to the main sites in the old city, was anything but "soothing", peaceful or quiet.

Our room itself, although large, bright and spacious, had no curtains on some windows and paper thin curtains on others, so the room was always lit up by street lights or sunlight. It was also not clean (not by western standards anyway). It was dusty, the toilet leaked, the shower sprayed water all over the bathroom, and the room was not cleaned once in the time we were there. Due to the internal construction, the rest of the place was in even more of a mess.

Service-wise, although the owner was very helpful with information/advice, there never appeared to be anyone around. We found ourselves having to hunt for staff whenever we wanted something, and were frustrated by the extremely slow service. We also did not appreciate having to ask for basic amenities like toilet paper and water. For the price we were charged for the room, we would have expected these to be provided.

We only ate breakfast at the accommodation and that was ok, but nothing to rave about. Again, service was slow and we had to hunt for people to serve us.

And with all of the above, we were charged the ridiculous price of R$4,000 per night, with no proper payment receipt provided to us, which likely means our money was not being declared by the owner.

I and my husband were looking for an accommodation in Udaipur which would enhance our experience of travelling in the Royal State of Rajasthan. Conventional Boutrique style Hotels would not meet this criteria at all. We explored Hotels in Udaipur and Settled for this one. The rooms are spacious and nicely built. You can sit on the Window parapets and have an amazing view of Lake Pichola, Udaipur Fort from the rooms. Roof top Restaurant will not disapoint you, however the restaurant is mainly for the hotel guests. The main attractions in Udaipur are at a walkable distance from this Hotel. The manager is friendly.

Very nice place to visit. stayed in Aravali view hotel. good property just adjacent to Lake pichola.very nive view. positive point to stay here is placed in heart of the city and major city attractions are in walking distance like.. lake pichola, city palace, market and most important is Hotel Ambrai. it is one of the best and most romantic restaurant in the bank of lake full of romance and perfect for candle light dinner. you can spend 5-6 hours sitting here and if interested drinking here. no worries as it is just 100 mtrs from hotel Aravali view.

Day-3:shiva temple and Haldi ghati -half day also bought itra, gulab jal, and gulkand very nice from mid path not from haldighati museum
