Cleanliness, staff were very helpful, breakfast was great. Looked like the rooms have been renovated. It was lovely to have breakfast on the rooftop. Showers were perfect. It was great value for money and I would certainly stay here again.

Best place I stayed in India for my budget. The rooms look like new and its very clean, enough for rest and feel good after a day touring.. also staff are very kind. Location is great, super close of lake and all places but not in main road so not very noisy. Definetly I will come back!!

We loved this place. Incredibly clean and comfortable. We found the owner, Deepak and his family to be so warm, caring and very helpful. The guest house is very new and each room nicely outfitted, hot water/good pressure - a great value. Deepak gave great information on how to get around and things to avoid. He took care of us at a busy time - finding us bus tickets, etc... The food for breakfast is generous and delicious, his mom is the cook. Very yummy Chai. She even made us breakfast to go. The rooftop provides a great view. We felt like part of the family after 3 days. We had lovely conversations and interactions during our stay and Deepak even contacted us as we traveled in India just to say hi and check in. Cannot say enough wonderful things - you will be well taken care of here -- your physical and emotional needs will be met.…

This is a fabulous guesthouse. Look no further, stay here 😊 Rooms are clean and comfortable. Deepak and his family made me feel very welcome and were very helpful with information around town. The view from the rooftop gives you great views of sunrise and sunset. Breakfast is tasty and i really enjoyed the Aloo Parantha. Its central to walk everywhere. I ended up staying 2 weeks here and would definitely stay again when i come back to Udaipur. Thanks Deepak for a great stay.

Due to circumstances involving fresh paint fumes in the place my wife, my adult son, and I had been staying on the outskirts of Udaipur, we needed to find a new place to stay one evening around 7 pm. We took a tuk-tuk to a highly-rated hotel which had no vacancies, but the person at the desk strongly recommended the nearby Mewar Avenue Guest House. We walked over and met Deepak, the owner. He didn't have any rooms that night, but he found us a room for that night five minutes away, and booked us a room for the following night in the Mewar Avenue Guest House for a third of what we were paying in the place we'd been staying. We had stayed in suburban place inaccurately described as "serene" because we had been concerned that staying in the heart of Udaipur would be noisy, but the room we stayed in at the Mewar Guest House was completely silent due to being on quiet street, but also from being surrounded by so much beautiful marble in the hotel. It was also spotlessly clean, and had been painted recently. It was a small room with a small bathroom, but big enough for three of us, as we were only sleeping, reading, and bathing there, as there is so much to see in the city. The hotel is tall, and the views from the top are great in every direction. Deepak is a saint, and his family is very friendly and helpful. The wifi worked perfectly at all times. The water pressure was very good. The location was perfect: very close to the most interesting part of the city. Deepak gave us great advice on where to eat late at night as well as breakfast. If we hadn't been on a schedule we would have stayed with him much longer. We felt completely comfortable there, and we all miss Deepak and his family. We will happily stay there again next time we visit the particularly beautiful city of Udaipur.…

I ended up staying here for 3 weeks. Lively family taking care of you, and the place is very clean. I got sick and they really made sure i was ok, cooking special dishes for me. The location is also great. Easy access to anywhere. Would love to go back!

We stayed here for 1 night. Although initially a little difficult to find (car/Rickshaw access not allowed to due tight street) we found this a pleasant family run guest house. Room although quite compact was clean and had a fan (no aircon). Bathroom was very small and needed a better extractor fan. Deepak was very helpful and helped plan our itinerary and the lady owner was also very nice- she offered to make us food as we had missed dinner due to our bus being delayed (we didn't check in till 00.30!). Excellent location, very short walk to Picholla lake, Jagdish temple (must visit) And City palace.

Fantastic location in the middle of the old town and just a. few minutes walk from everywhere you'll want to go. While the rooms are on the small side, they are extremely clean. And the shower is great (very important in my book). Deepak - the owner - and his family could not have been more helpful and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. He had plenty of advice on things to do and how to get the most out of Udaipur. Excellent WiFi
