The hotel is totally fraud. When i stayed over for 2 night, the corner of the washroom mirror was broken. When we did the complaint they told they will change the room but the didn't. When we talked at the reception they were saying that you have done your booking through travel agent so directly talk to them. This is the way booking manager of swaroop vilas Mr. Naresh talks to the guests.
Highly pathetic staff and very mismanaged. The only pro here is it looks good from the outside, other than that let me list the cons: 1. The deluxe rooms on the lowest floor and small, dark and dingy..with water logging and smell of stagnated water...the floor and ceiling paint were peeling off at places and the rooms are very unsafe since it is right next to the entrance with an open garden. We shifted to super deluxe rooms on higher floors the next day, which was the original plan but due to some miscommunication we had to stick with the claustrophobic dirty ground floor rooms the first day. 2. The staff is highly untrained, rude and very arrogant. Upon checking in on 14th feb, we were told that there is a live music event at their Sangria restaurant...which we said we would be interested in and they told us to go directly to the restaurant... however at 8:30 pm when we were about to go they told us the restaurant is at full capacity and they cannot serve us..they basically were entertaining people from outside rather than guests of the hotel..and the person at Sangria " Paramvir" or "Paramdeep", basically some man name "Param something" is an arrogant fellow who cut off our conversation in the middle and slammed the phone down... never have I have seen a member of the hospitality industry behave in such a horrible manner. He had a full blown argument with us and completely ruined our stay there leaving a bad taste. 3. We chose not to eat at the hotel at all the entire 2 days of our stay there because of such unprofessional behaviour and dined at the hotel next door BRAHMA NIWAS hotel which has far better and professional staff, and excellent food 4. Their breakfast buffet is disappointing to say the least with lagging service and sucks big time. All in all, this hotel isn't recommended at all... believe me I booked 3 rooms here for two days and was traveling with family. Rather chose the hotel next door "BRAHMA NIWAS" which again has excellent staff and efficient service!…
Very very bad experience as the staff was very rude, unfriendly and very inhospitable. Because of this they ruined our trip. We had to had dinner at the Braham Kamal which is a very very good and friendly hotel. So, if you are going to Udaipur stay in Braham Kamal
Its a good experience. We booked for suit and included breakfast. Breakfast was not that much good. Room was good and facility and staff was also good. After all good experience. For couples, its a good hotel amd safe also. And the best thing was, we can order food from outside from any restaurants because food of hotel's restaurant is costly.
Booked the Gajraj Suite and the room was pretty good. The suite had a balcony and a really nice view of the adjacent lake. The rooftop bar was also quite good with a nice view of the lake as well. Staff was also prompt to help us with any requests. Few of the wings were getting renovated during our visit. Only con was probably that the pool was closed as part of covid restrictions but that is understandable. Another concern was the poor and dusty condition of the chairs on the balcony but overall experience was quite good.
