Showings its age and needs upgrading. Having heritage is fine but it takes work to keep it looking good. The room we had was large but needed some work. It was tired looking!! The hotel is on the wrong side of the lake so had to cross bridge either by tuk tuk or foot. Wifi hit and miss. The reception...

Nice decor with traditional design. Beautiful entrance. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is convenient -- few minutes from the old city on the other side of the lake (although not right in it like many other hotels) so it requires a rickshaw ride. The facility and amenities are ok for a 3-star hotel and for its price. Can't help...

The property as a whole is nice and well kept. However, the rooms in basement are damp and without ventilation. Although that is somewhat compensated by the private garden in front of the rooms. Washrooms are clean and average. The hotel ranked low in hospitality when compared with other similar hotels in Udaipur. The staff was not very friendly in...

We had a nice room with a balcony. It's an older building and the upkeep is not bad for Indian standards. We noticed that. It all the staff speak sufficient English but because they were so service minded there was always a way to figure it out and get the message across. I would definitely stay there again.

Swaroop. We spent 3 nights. The room was large enough and the hotel kindly upgraded us however the room is very tired needing general maintenance and refreshing soft finishes like cushions and lamp covers chairs etc. generally old and grubby. The bed mattress was worn and collapsed and needed replacing. All rooms have bathrooms with vents/slats that open to the...

We enjoyed the ambiance and decor of Swaroop. I was especially taken by the antique lock and keys used for the rooms. Breakfast was varied, view was nice. It's far away from the narrow streets and the continuous action of the central Udaipur which is both a blessing and an inconvenience. Better hotels (like Jagat Niwas) have less expensive soda/tea/coffee...

The sophisticated rooms with antique-style furnishings feature free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and tea and coffeemakers, plus minibars and bay windows. They offer views of the lake, the pool or the garden. Room service is available. There's a refined restaurant, a rooftop terrace bar and poolside dining. Guests have access to a lobby lounge, gardens and an outdoor pool. There's also...

Good facilities and good room but cold showers and the most expensive Wi FI we found in India which spoilt the hotel stay so I would not recommend if you want to have a hot shower or use the internet facilities.

For some reason we were relegated to a room in the basement with effectively no windows. It was certainly a large suite, but the issue was it was freezing. We asked to moved above ground and were told no there were not rooms available which I do not believe, tourism is down in India. We asked for a room heater...

Lovely boutique style hotel , lovely pool, very comfy rooms with tea making facilities. The staff very courteous and friendly. Enjoyed an afternoon boat ride on lake pichola to visit the palace located in the middle of the lake, we were to have gone in the evening, but the evening before had been very choppy water so opted for the...
