The Karohi Haveli is in an amazing location: Close the city centre near the City Palace, but still quite calm.

The rooms are okay, although beds are, as often in India, quite hard. Bathrooms could use some paint, but both room and bathroom are clean and okay.

The restaurant in the hotel is nice and has good prices, the staff in all of the hotel is very friendly too. The view in the restaurant both is simply stunning. Great recommendation.

The outside area near the pool is somewhat rundown and needs both more cleaning and a decent paintjob.

The interior courtyard is also somewhat dirty due to the tree located inside it, although it still is also due to lack of cleaning. A bigger issue is the wifi. The wifi hardly works in the rooms despite a disconnected repeater in the upper floors.

So this hotel is very nice, but it could be even better.

This venerable haveli has a great location and offers panoramas of the lake and surrounding city. The rooms are adequate (the bathrooms are tiny), but the whole property feels a little tired and could stand some upgrading. Still, good value and good service.

After a very disappointing experience in hotel the golden feather, don t go thee if you visit Udaipur, we entered Karohi haveli, this hotel is newly renovated and offers excellent rooms in a arabian/ moroccan style atmosphere with several nice details that makes it complete. The location is opposite the city center that you can enter via a small pedestrian bridge. That makes the place quieter and easy to reach in one minute from the center. From the rooftop you have the best views from Udaipur, including the palace etc. I think one of the best options in Udaipur.

This hotel was our first impression of India, as we started our trip in Udaipur, and they really went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of during our entire stay. We even loved it so much we extended an extra night.

Not only did was it walkable to all the main sites with an attentive staff, but it also had a really nice rooftop which became our oasis for an afternoon beer. They also coordinated our driver for us when we had two days of travel, and shared their personal contact info if we had any trouble.

Definitely recommend this hotel, we were very happy with our stay!

This hotel has a nice haveli feel with plenty of 'heritage' features. We had two good-sized, bright rooms on the ground floor, which were clean with views of the lake. It's probably worth asking for a lake view room. There's a roof-top restaurant were we had a pretty standard, but good breakfast in the sun with great views. There's a decent swimming pool as well. The location is excellent, just a short walk over the Daiji footbridge to the city centre, so no need for transport.

Our small group tour stayed at the karohi havé li and enjoyed the location very much.the hotel is under going renovations including a new lift and it will be magnificent once completed .
It has a very central location , surrounded by interesting shops, tailors , restaurants and massage services.
It is very close to the edge of the lake making
It the perfect to head out in the morning on foot and explore this vibrant city.
Returning to the hotel is like ‘coming home ‘to a guest house of yesteryear , where the reception staff are very friendly and helpful
And nothing is too Much trouble .
Upstairs there is a roof top restaurant which has spectacular views over the lake and the city lights .
A perfect place for a pre dinner drink
And relax after a day sightseeing

In principle a very nice place, nicely located at the lake and close to one of the walking bridges. So you can easily walk everywhere from the hotel. Shops, restaurants and the palance were in 15min walking distance
Service staff was very helpful and understanding
However, the hotel infrastructure is in bad shape. They extend the hotel, so there is a construction site just next door. they also add an elevator in November 23, so another source for noise. Rooms had technical issues like instable Wifi and noise level from the construction, so we swapped our room. The new room had a bad smell from chemicals, so we swapped again.
All rooms were noise from nearby temples, so you get a wake up call every morning.
Bathroom required rennovation, you better dont have a closer look. Rooms would benefit from refurbishment as well.
Roof top is a breakfast place, basic Indian breakfast but with freshly produced omlettes. The view from the roof top is brilliant, however, it totally lacks charm unfortunately.
All in all it could be a very nice hotel, but at present there are too many obstacles and infrastructure is in to bad condition

We were group of friends, went up till the property and were said that we can get the swimming pool access at some extra charges, after confirming everything when we went to the property, we were denied for the access. The employee named Bhagwat Singh was a bit rude after being asked to contact with his superior. Didn’t expect such a rude behaviour from such a reputed property

Very close -5 min walking- to the old city, this hotel used to be the residence of a noble family. It offers a nice garden, a patio and a swimming pool, a great place to relax after visiting the hectic city. The restaurant on the top: great view and great food, a rich menu of international and Indian choice.
The rooms are large and fascinating, with nice painted ceilings and all different one from the other. The bathroom might be a little better. People are extremely kind and helpful. Flowers are everywhere and daily assembled. I would come back!

We visited in the super busy pre-Dussera weekend.
When we usually stay at a heritage property, it is so far removed from the main city that the sounds of the city never reach us. This time, thanks to last minute booking, we got this property that was pat in old Udaipur city. The arti from the nearby temple, the last day of Navratri celebration, everything reached our ears. It was so lovely to be out at midnight, just walking the tiny lanes of old Udaipur. And it was very safe.
The hotel staff guided us adequately. The property itself is such a delight! We took the suite room that overlooks the city palace - on the 2nd floor. The view from the room was so beautiful.
We could also walk those narrow lanes and go to other eating places - like Oopre, and one more, for dinner.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious, but what i loved even more were the geniune articles placed all over the haveli, and the tree at the center of the courtyard. We did not explore the swimming pool at all.
The hotel does not have an elevator.
