We had a fun evening and learned how to prepare three different Indian dishes as well as chiapati and a dessert. They showed us all the different spices and told us how to use them. We can highly recommend this cooking class!

Very Nice Homestay, clean and comfortable with nice people hosting you, very good typical Indian food, I recommend to stay here if you are searching for a quiet and peaceful home ! We only regret not to have time to take Indian cooking class with the host which will likely show you how they prepare Indian dishes ! :)

The owners, the Prabhu family, wished us a very heartful welcome in their nice and very clean private house situated in a large vegetable garden. The upper floor in the recently build house is reserved for guests. The room and bed were comfortable and the attached bathroom was very clean. The kitchen is the jewel of this part of the house. We enjoyed the private cooking class given by the daughter of the family. She liked to show us the secrets of the Indian cuisine, making the dishes we proposed and loved most. She is not only a very talented teacher but also a wonderful hostess. During our meals she introduced us in the thinking and feeling of a young Indian woman and family. We had very interesting discussions. We spent lovely moments in this private house. We recommend this homestay. The location is comparable to a 3star hotel, but more spacy and with much more allure and the attractive possibility to be connected to the real Indian family life.

We had a really good time at at The Royale Country Retreat. It is a a bit far from the city center but traveling with a family of four and after a day full of activities it was a pleasure to go there, sit on the balcony and enjoy the fresh air away from the noise. We also had a very enjoyable cooking class given by Baghwadi (sorry if it's spelled wrong), amazing cook! Pros: - The breakfast. Simple, eggs and toast, but the best we had in India. - You barely see the hosts. We had the whole 1st floor for ourselves. But it is their house so you can interact if you wish to do it. They're very welcoming. - Location wise depends on what you are looking for. For us it was perfect! - They provide towels and amenities like shampoo and body lotion. All Biotique - Most of the ingredients they use to cook they take from their own garden. - Cleanliness. Everything was spotless. - Flexible check in and check out times. We checked out at 6 am and they woke up to make us breakfast at 5 am. I won't enlist the cons because there were none. Just the fact that there is no shower curtain or glass in the bathroom so the toilets end up wet after each shower. My score 5/5. I Highly recommend it! -

What a most welcoming and fantastic place in Udaipur. A place to get renewed away from the hustle and bustle. The owners gave us the most hospitable and personal service. We felt right at home as if we had come home to India. This retreat is managed and ran by a very hospitable and awesome family. The facility is superb, the beds were soft, large and the shower facility one of the best we encountered. An added bonus was the superb home cooking of the daughter Baghwati. She offered cooking classes were you can learn the secrets of Indian cooking. I took a cooking class were I learned to make Chapati, Curried Vegetables and Mango Chutney. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the culture in Udaipur, India. On our next visit to India,we will not hesitate to book this wonderful place again. The ambiance of the grounds, the hospitality and the food are not to be missed. This place is highly recommended. Thank you from the bottom of our heart.
