Hotel Lakend garners appreciation for its welcoming atmosphere and beautifully designed spaces, underscored by the serene lake views that guests have called out as a highlight. While the array of amenities, especially the variety and quality of food, receive acclaim, there's a consensus that room cleanliness and maintenance could be enhanced.
The hotel's location earns praise for its proximity to attractions, although noise levels and inconsistent pricing have been noted as detractions from the hotel's overall value.

Hotel's Favourite
I have been a very frequent visitor of this place. A few days back I went there to celebrate a family treat. So I called up to ask if they have the provision of keeping my cake in the fridge which I was yet to order.
During my conversation Saawan ji provided me with the information that they too have an in house bakery and I could order my cake if I wanted. Tht really helped me a lot from taxing myself fr organizing things. Mr. Ajay(The F&B) manager, helped me a lot in organizing the entire thing and was kind enough to suggest me with everything. He personally came and welcomed me at the reception. That was a kind gesture enough from his side😊
So finally I ordered for a Fruit Cake specially baked by Chef Pankaj. And.......IN MY ENTIRE LIFE, I DIDN'T TASTE CÀKE BETTER THAN THIS. It's a must try for everyone.
The staff served it with so much of love that my heart melted down at their hospitality. They came and wished with so much of warmth that it made our evening all the more special.
My heartfelt thanks to Ajay ji, Pankaj ji, Sawan ji and all staff members who directly and indirectly served us.
Thank u for all the co-operation. And thank u fr making us feel sooooo special.❤️
Means I can keep on writing the entire day😊😊
Coming soon again for High Tea🤗

Perched along the fateh sagar lake, it has an undisputed location advantage. Unlike hotels along lake pichola which are crowded, with narrow access lanes and relatively unclean waters this location is most preferable and is also very well connected to city centre. Would want to rate the hotel as below
Location 5/5
Service/front desk 5/5
Breakfast 5/5
Hospitality and service 5/5
Value for money 3.5/5
Few suggestions:
1. Had booked a suite room, but has no extra advantage over the lake view deluxe room with balcony, lack of bath tub in the former which was found in the later! Especially thank mr manish for alloting a beautiful room and cooperating to allow a late checkout
2. The roof top restaurant is beautiful but has no food service and takes away the advatanges of a beautiful location. Shamiana setup is ideal
3. Lot of mosquitoes originating from the lake makes balcony sitout impossible at certain times
4. Rooms are a bit overpriced could be more competitive
5. An inhouse boat service could add value
All in all a wonderful experience and would not only want to come again but also highly recommend to others.

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Lakend., in Udaipur. Its a lovely hotel with a sprawling view of the lake. The outdoor restaurant , swimming pool, and various sit outs all face the vast expanse of the Fateh Sagar Lake. Very nice rooms, good food, but the service from the housekeeping staff could have been better. We asked for fresh towels after we checked in and the girl with the housekeeping cart handed over towels that had been removed from another room after those guests checked out. It took some explaining that we needed Freshly Laundered towels , not reused ones. Anyway, they got it in the end, and after that we had no problems. The food was good, and it turned really magical when lit up in the evenings, with the reflections clearly visible in the waters.

I stayed here for 02 nights along with my colleague in Room 232. Room is good and having lakeside view. Thus awesome! Big property. Food quality is also good, although gatte ki sabji (vegetable dish prepared with gram flour) I had on lunch on 07/01/2020 was not having authentic taste of Rajasthan which is known for it. However millet khichadi was of authentic taste. But staff are unprofessional and guests unfriendly. Restaurant staff was rude when I requested to service bhatoora but he rudely refused initially. I complained and then only I got it served. In room also air conditioner was put on regulation only after repeated requests. Housekeeping department also did not give proper service by default. I had to remind the staff. Staff at Front Desk were impolite.

Excellent hospitality augmented by a stunning view of Lake Fateh Sagar makes this hotel at par with all other luxury 5 star hotels. I went there with family for a three day trip and was bowled over by the spacious and well ventilated rooms, balcony facing the sprawling Lake Fateh Sagar (you can spend an entire day just sitting by the pool deck or balcony, such is the enthralling view).
The breakfast buffet has wide variety of cuisines. The ala carte menu too are excellent and not too overpriced.
Special thanks to Pardeep Kaur at front desk.
One area of improvement : none of the washroom doors have locking mechanism. Please take care of it.
Overall 4.5/5 👍👍👍

My wife & I stayed at Hotel Lakend on 30 &31st Dec. Given the time of the year the hotel was priced (we booked last minute) similar to other 5 start properties like the Trident etc (we stayed at the Trident for a few days as well)
The location of the property and views are excellent but that’s where the 5 star experience stops.
The property is/seems pretty old, while the room was largish but was nothing premium about it, the 2 days we stayed there was problem with the heating in the hotel, the first day we were given a room heater, which was promptly removed the second day. The next night the heating issue wasn’t fixed and the room heater was also ‘not available’, after 3 calls and an hour of waiting we were given an extra blanket.
The food (morning breakfast buffet) is not at par for a 5 star hotel either (this was the 6th hotel we stayed at during our Rajasthan trip & with the exception of 1 other, this was the most average in terms of breakfast - both taste wise and variety wise. We didn’t try the restaurants for lunch or dinner.
All in all, for what we paid for the two night 30 & 31st was not value for money at all, would suggest exploring other options if planning to visit at this time of the year (Dec holidays). In my mind it’s more comprable to a 3/4 star hotel

The most impressive thing about this hotel is the view of the Fatehsagar Lake. The moment I enjoyed most was sitting at the lakeshore with a cup of tea. The food was great though the menu was relatively limited.
One thing I did not like was the washrooms here don't have a latch or locking system. I failed to understand the logic behind this. So when you are using to toilet or having a shower I was constantly stressed thinking what if my kids will just open the door. So i had to keep one eye on the door.
Also, two of the cabinets under the TV had faulty doors which kept on opening despite trying hard to close them. The staff tried to close then with a double tape but that didn't work at all. And we had to stay with that. I was more worried as that could injure my kids as they were just ruining around the room.
Such things are not expected when you are paying Rs 11000+ for one night. I hope that hotel management will look into this and take appropriate action.

Our family stayed in this beautiful property for three nights and undoubtedly it was one of the most amazing stays we had in a while. The location of the property (Facing Fateh Sagar Lake) and the view from the rooms is unparalleled. Whether it be gym, pool, spa or cycling, the hotel provides with all these facilities in the best way possible.
To add on, the food was delicious too. The roof top restaurant not only has one of the best views of the city (including sunsets) but also has their in-house fusion menu with sumptuous food and drink options.
All in all, the stay is highly recommended.

The hotel has a very good location right on the edge of Fatehsagar lake . Book a lake facing room or else you will be looking at the parking lot. The even number rooms are all lake facing .
The cleanliness standards are below par and we had to take a towel and wipe the counters clean . The hotel staff does not have any idea of hospitality. Before you ask for something the answer is NO . We were a group of 10 and all the standard seating was for 8 . When asked to join tables in the sit out it was refused that we don’t shift tables and when we asked for the supervisor he came and refused it point blank . The staff was so rude that when we said we will take it up with the GM he said go ahead and do it .
The hotel does not enforce COVID Protocols. Some staff and majority of the guests were moving around without masks especially when the hotel was 100% occupied.
Also the hotel banquet is used for weddings and they have no restrictions on playing loud music wherein even on the second floor the doors were reverberating and staff said it’s nothing till we called for them in the room
Please avoid this hotel as Mr Kaushik Chatterjee the GM has an uphill task for cleanliness COVID protocol enforcement and staff attitude and behaviour.
The food is average however you may visit the bar on the 3 floor where the saving grace was the only polite person Ajay the bartender.
I would personally pass the room with a view as the hotel standards are very poor overall
