The Madri Haveli was a great place to stay! It is a very clean and simple haveli built about 300 years ago. The staff was very friendly and I felt comfortable as a solo traveler staying here. The photos on various booking web sites are accurate to their set up. Location of the hotel is perfect. Tiny beautiful streets going up and down, by the lake...handicrafts shops...A walking distance from everything, and more importantly the City Palace. A very nice place to stay indeed. Very happy to have stayed there :)
This place is a beautiful craft of heritage. Located right in the heart of traditionally old town of Udaipur this place gives you a right aroma of a Rajasthani essence. Rooms are spectacular, decently sized, adequate amenities, very thoughtfully designed. We had a seemless check in and the receptionist (Deepak) also helped find the way to get here from airport. Since its located in the old city he arranged a auto to get us from the narrow lanes. The rooftop restaurant has a spectacular view surrounded by all touristic sights of Udaipur. The cuisine is rightly set to meet travellers from all across. The chef (Lal Singh) and steward (Tufaan Ji) were outstanding at their service and were always happy to take our request. Our long stay could only be made memorable by endless services pulled off spectacularly by everyone behind running this property.…
It’s really tough to choose a heritage stay in Udaipur as it has plenty with great reviews, so we decided to stay at Madri Haveli. From the check in to checkout we had an amazing experience. Love: The service, food, tastefully done rooms Location, warmth in each interaction with the staff ,location.
For a much deserved short vacation in Udaipur we looked up a few boutique hotels for a comfortable stay in this heritage rich old town, came across Madri Haveli via aggregator sites. However, we preferred to call up and book the place directly. The interaction was professional handled by property manager (Aditya) and payment was through a bank transfer to property's bank account. Upon arrival, we were greeted and briefed on the amenities and certain details and timings of house breakfast, restaurant availability and shower (hot water) etc. The overall space was well kept, no mess or dirt seen anywhere, and had a small courtyard in the center of the building with rooms and galleries around it, a typical architectural highlight of Rajasthani Havelis. The twin room we chose (a deluxe room) was really crisp, and also provided television, mini refrigerator, television, small desk with chair, hot beverage tray with an electric kettle, air-con., and two small traditional seating areas. Everything was clean, sanitized (important during ongoing global pandemic), and presented well curated decor, furnishings all around. Room, and bathroom was superbly clean and had a timeless stone tiled walls and counter. Roof-top had multiple terraces and an all day restaurant with adequate menu for breakfast, all day snacks and dinner. The place was always kept clean. The restaurant captain (Toofan) was polite, well versed, and attentive to all guests. Whenever we asked for recommendations, and minor customization with the food and beverages, he helped without turning any requests down. Also, provided us with several tips and information regarding tourist spots and offbeat places of interest in Udaipur and surrounding region, and suggestions on how to get to those places. Lastly also a shout-out to the housekeeping, reception desk and support staff. They were always polite, greeted us every time when we were at the property, made us feel welcomed and helped make the most of our stay. Note: The location of this property is on a slope along a narrow street, therefore keep the staff informed of your arrival; in case you need assistance to get to the place. Also if you bring your own vehicle, check regarding parking nearby as well as in rest of the city. It's a maze of tiny streets not easy to drive through. Yet, literally everyone knows this property; so feel free to ask if you lose direction.…
Madri Haveli Hotel is the best place to stay with a beautiful Heritage ambience, beautiful rooms, a rooftop restaurant with a view of the entire city, great food and breakfast, and friendly hospitality from all cleaning, reception, room service and food staff members. I must say all the staff members are extremely helpful,I can remember, the names of Mr Sunil, Toofaan and Aditya made our stay extremely comfortable and enjoyable.
