All the negative reviews I had read on TripAdvisor, which I ignored at my own peril, turned out to be ALL TRUE! Hot WATER issues, Heater not working, Jacuzzi on rooftop of Udai Suite (supposed to be their best room) simply non - existent, ill maintained. Staff try their best, but they can do precious little when their management head in Delhi, himself is least bothered about these concerns and doesn't even bother to address them when brought to his attention by Mr. Balmukund, a helpless duty manager. For a family booking the Hotel's Prime room, they are not even assured of having running hot water. Advertising a room amenity like an outdoor jacuzzi, whose functionality was, mind you, reconfirmed thrice before checking in and then finding out it's shoddy unusable state is tantamount to consumer fraud. And, fyi, a 30 min. Boat ride round the Pichola for such deficiency in service, where basic amenities like running hot water or in room heater are not provided/working in the chill of winter, does not make up for such atrocities. Unless the management heads take a basic course in hospitality management and upgrade themselves, this once upon a time, modest boutique hotel under Mr. VV Singh will surely lose all its charm, if it hasn't already. Negative stars for in room amenities. The view from the top is good, but one would surely prefer hot water over the view, in the cold of winter. Such a terrible disappointment.Never again and definitely Not recommended for families.…
This place is a scam. The service levels are pathetic. You will not get anything they promise at the time of booking . The rooms are not well maintained, have plumbing issues, electronic appliances do not work. The hotel is severely understaffed and you will have to wait forever to get even your smallest request fulfilled. On top it all, the owner is very arrogant and does not value the guests. Not recommended at all.
This Hotel is situated in the heart of the old city with some mesmerizing views! The entry to the Hotel is very grand and looks extremely beautiful in the evenings once it has been Lit up. The Deluxe rooms are beautifully designed with a lot of attention to detail. The staff is very helpful and cordial. They have two roof top swimming pools which I would say are the most attractive part of the property. Baro Masi, the rooftop bar has the best sunset view to offer with the City Palace, Lake Palace and Jag Mandir all visible together. I had a great stay and special thanks my Hosts and the owners of the Property.
Situated in the heart of the old city. It is the perfect romantic getaway one could ask for. The property has a beautiful chowk where one can sit peacefully for hours. The delux room was very comfortable and the staff was really helpful with our every request. The baori pool is something you have to see to believe and definitely amped up the mood. Baro maasi has the best view there is to offer with cocktails made from natural flowers and a view of Lake pichola, City palace and lake palace all in one frame. A must visit when one plans their udaipur trip.
Check in slow with no guidance about hotel, expected to find it in room but nothing there. Had to return to reception to find information as to times for breakfast, etc. The room was adequate. Good breakfast but the room was too small for the number of guests so had to queue and wait for a table one morning. The hotel was trying to be luxurious with two swimming pools but neither of them was heated so not being used and were both in very public areas.
