Nestled in an enviable position, Lake Pichola Hotel captivates many guests with its stunning lake views and convenient access to nearby attractions, shops, and eateries. The rooms' cleanliness and tasteful design are frequently commended, as is the hotel's unique decor that enhances the overall atmosphere. While the service is generally well-regarded, highlighting the staff's helpfulness, there are notes of occasional delays in room service and housekeeping.
Despite some concerns over small hot water tanks, minor maintenance issues, and the property appearing a touch worn, the hotel's charm and location continue to draw in travelers. However, some guests suggest that the hotel's value proposition may be challenged by other affordable yet equally special accommodations in the vicinity.

Great experience at Lake Pichola Hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming and the accommodations are beautiful. Our room had a stunning view overlooking the famous lake with a nice balcony. The hotel is also located in close proximity to lots of attractions and an enjoyable breakfast was available every morning.

This was our second time in Udaipur & our first stay at the Lake Pichola Hotel. Its safe to say we will be staying again whenever we next venture to the city of lakes. Our suite stay offorded us two private viewing balconies, each with a 180 degree view of the stunning lake Pichola.
There was a wide variety of breakfast items to choose from & the dishes were changed each morning. I would highly recomment taking your plate outside to eat on the ground floor balcony alongside the lake for maximum serenity!
Restaurnant Upré not only offers stunning day/night time views but also one of the better dining experiences in the city.
My recipee for a memorable stay = Enjoy a long hot shower, wrap up in one of the hotel supplied robes for extra comfort & spend half the day in your balcony, soaking up the view of the lake while you recharge your batteries!
Thankyou Mr Yudhistir Singh for the best hotel stay in my 2 years of living in India!
Regards, Aaron D.

I stayed here for 2 nights and the only real hassle that I faced here was the way to reach the hotel. Any public transport that you use to reach this place will drop you around 300 mts away at a point beyond which they will not go. You will have to coordinate with the hotel so that they send e-rickshaw to pick you up. I checked in at 8 AM and got the room that I saw online. Mine was a deluxe room with a balcony facing lake. Absolutely loved how spacious the room was and so was the bathroom. I had a vanity room leading to bedroom. The mirrors look a little rusted in bathroom though. The balcony was the best part of the room. The service is nice. People are courteous and helpful around. They can also call autowalas for you who work for them but I feel they overcharge. The rooftop restaurant is an added advantage which has nice ambience and food. They have an outsourced spa which I couldn’t try due to miscommunication. I think if they have given them the space in the hotel they should make sure their services are equally good. My checkout was smooth as well. I left the hotel at 5:30 AM and requested them to pack me the breakfast which they did. Apart from a little glitch here and there, I would still want to be back here if I ever plan to be in Udaipur.

Very nice hotel, the room was not very big but comfortable. The view from the balcony is superb. The restaurant is often full, it is best to book if you want to eat on the roof top. However, it is possible to be served in the room. The breakfast is varied without being exceptional. It is possible to ask the hotel to pick you up for free by tuk tuk as access by car is not possible.

One of the most Aesthetic places in udaipur was lake Pichola hotel....we booked two rooms on ground floor with Lake view. The location is amazing because it is centrally located and all the places are walking distance. Special shoutout to Yogendraji for helping us out at every step...

We booked lake facing room and was guaranteed lake facing room with balcony as per phone call discussion with reception person. After reaching we were given room on second floor with lake view but no balcony. After asking for balcony room the reception girl named shruti said us all balcony rooms on first floor are full. This is so unfair. Since I came to enjoy did not want to waste time in arguing. Also room was very small compared to price we payed. Room service is slow. I called for bath gel and got nearly after 3hrs. Breakfast was below average. Only the location of hotel is good.

The hotel is actually a heritage property converted into an elegant hotel. opted for a lakeside room. The room turned out to be exactly as shown in hotel website. Beautiful, antique decor combined with modern amenities.
The lakeside room had a small alcove for the Lakeview, with a neat private sitting arrangement. This is a big plus.
The breakfast is served on ground floor, where one gets a glimpse of the magnificent collection of chandeliers above and other regalia. Seating by the lake is a charming option. That is the second plus.
Check out their rooftop restaurant at night. Even in December, we enjoyed the Lakeview at night by a flametorch. Food is quite good. That is a plus.
Minus point is that it is inside the narrow lanes of old Udaipur.
Overall, we had a very satisfying stay at the hotel. The view was simply superb.

This place is truly one of the best experiences I've ever had in my life. Stayed here for 5 nights and 4 days in deluxe room with lake side view and it was worth everything.
Right from the beginning, the reception desk was extremely helpful, since the hotel is in Old City cabs/cars can't go beyond amba mata (1km from hotel approx) so we asked the reception and they sent a battery car immediately, check in was fast and the staff was very courteous and made sure everything related to our stay was taken care of.
The room was neat, tidy and clean, washroom was upto the mark and with deluxe room it was spacious enough for 2 of us. We also chose for the lake view and that was one of the highlights of the tour. You can just sit by the lake for hours and hours and the hotel is right opposite to gangour ghat and city palace so at evenings and night the view is just breathtaking. Definitely recommended.
Last but not the least, finally when we were about to check out, we asked for a cab (though the price is a little on higher end but totally worth) and were pleasantly surprised that they arranged a boat from the hotel to the municipal boating point which is a 15 minute ride. From there they had arranged a cab to the airport. Seriously, the hospitality is one of the top points for which one should have it on their watch list.

We were quite skeptical of booking the place since the pictures posted online showed slightly rundown rooms and especially the linen/bedding. But we went ahead anyways given the location and so happy that we did!
We booked a suite and the first impression was just wow. It is HUGE and doesn't bankrupt you either. There is a sitout cove and a swing apart from a huge bed. You are literally ON the lake and couldn't ask for a better view, just opposite the City Palace. Even the entrance has been made nice.
The service was quite prompt, friendly and efficient. They even put up an extra bed on our request. The only miss was a promised bday cake.
The F&B service was very good too. Breakfast spread was nice and tasty. Don't miss out on their rooftop Upre restaurant - all local guides told us it's the best in the city and we could see why. You feel transported to a European city.
Highly recommended!

We were hesitant at first to try this local hotel but when we arrived we were pleasantly happy with the local decor, non assuming nature of the place. Certainly not your 5 stars but for the location, simplicity and views - this is a marvelous hotel. Location is good because one is not in the noisy old part yet not to far away to walk to.
The staff were all quite friendly and attentive. The check in was quick & fuss free. We had the room with the balcony which had a beautiful view of the old city over the lake and catches the sunrise rising above the jagdish temple opposite.
In the night, the restaurant on the rooftop is absolutely stunning for its views and food. So book in advance. It’s that popular.
The hotel also provides a sunset cruise which we took. At this time of the year, it’s worth taking and we feel better than a day cruise.
The downside is a basic room so forget 4 or 5 stars but everything is functioning. Adapt a little if you need. The breakfast is decent but basic so nothing to shout about. Good coffee, tea and basic bread toast egg station etc. coupled with the usual local Indian fare.
We enjoyed our stay here and also had the good honor to chat with the owner mr CB Singh who happened to be having his breakfast in the yard when we were exploring the place.
