I had been here on a family vacation. It's amazing hotel to stay with lots of facilities. Will definitely visit again. Just the rates on higher sider but hope to get discount from them next visit. The food is litter on okayish type but the rest is best.
I have visited Lake Pichola Hotel several times now. Sometimes as a ‘treat’ to celebrate the start of a Rajasthan tour and sometimes as the celebratory ‘treat’ to end the tour. However, this time in March/ April it was our first, last and in between ‘treat’. We arrived the day that hotels were advised not to admit tourists. The owner, a most honourable man could not find it in his heart to turn us away and therefore welcomed us into his hotel for the 3 nights we had booked even though all other tourists had left trying to catch last minute flights. Then, suddenly, lockdown occurred next day and so we, the owner and family, and staff specially kept on for us, were all in lockdown together. 44 days later (and feeling like family) we left after what proved to be an amazing,…
This was our 4th visit to Lake Pichola Hotel (so that says a lot) and what was supposed to be a 3 night stay on our independent tour of Rajasthan turned into 1 and a half months!! We arrived just as lockdown in India was about to happen and instead of being turned away as many travelers at many other hotels were – Mr Singh the owner invited us in and welcomed us with open arms and an open heart. This is a stunningly beautiful hotel set in an amazing location with easy access by foot to all areas of the old town. If you like walking and pottering around traditional little back streets, you will love it here. The hotel has amazing views over the lake, beautiful rooms and fabulous food in it’s famous roof top restaurant but this place is about so much more than just bricks and…
We are in Isolation due to the Pandemic and as we sit with a cup of tea our thoughts return to Lake Pichola Hotel ....and we smile. This has to be the BEST hotel we have stayed in in India. Greeted by a smiling uniformed driver with the Hotel Tuk Tuk we were transported to the hotel along narrow streets where vehicles are not permitted. At the hotel we were smilingly and smoothly booked in, fresh flowers placed around our necks and a welcoming glass of punch in our hands before we were escorted to our room overlooking beautiful Lake Pichola. On our balcony two doves cooed. The room was spacey and well laid out. Everything very clean. The bathroom had a selection of shampoos for my wife who was delighted and I put the kettle on for a cup of coffee. We had a choice of air…
An exceptional hotel for exceptional times We stayed at Lake Pichola Hotel just before the coronavirus crisis started to accelerate in the world, and especially to India. We are so indebted to Mr Chandra Bhanu Singh & his family and staff for not only the most wonderful stay but also checking in on us with genuine love and concern several times a day. This, beyond all the other excellent qualities of the hotel, will always be etched in our hearts. Of course, the hotel without a doubt is absolutely gorgeous, situated right on the lake and with an incredible view of the city palace from all the lake facing rooms. The rooftop restaurant Upre is divine and perfect for sundowners and dinner. The best part, however, is the ever-smiling and ever courteous team that the hotel has-…
