Oberoi has always outdone themselves when it comes to delighting me and ny family. This time was no exception. We had one of our best stays - Beautiful property, Excellent food but what makes it exceptional are the buddies there, all around to assist and help with your asks. A big thanks to everyone, from front desk team to house keeping team to the F&B team. The mgmt team for each of these teams went above and beyond. Naming just few will not be fair hence refraining but my family had the best time, and that meant the most to me. Thanks. Keep it up. Only thing that could have been better - Tinted glasses in shower cabin :)
TL;DR: This is a resort of the highest caliber, by global standards. The property itself is one of the more beautifully designed and managed settings we’ve stayed in over the course of either of our travels (40+ countries each, across all 6 populated continents). If you’re lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay here, you shouldn’t hesitate to take it. Details of our stay: My fiancé and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a broader trip around Asia. The hotel is spread out over their expansive plot, so you’re going to “get your steps in” as you move around the property, but the result is a feeling of privacy, space, and quiet even when they’re fully booked. Aside from breakfast, you won’t feel like many other guests are around. Arrival is an experience in itself and was a very start strong. Be sure to opt into the arrival by Audi (request Suresh, he was our driver throughout our stay and is kind, attentive, and professional) and then boat, as your driver will take you to a dock and one of their boats will give you private mini-cruise across the lake and past the islands to the hotel; it’s a very attractive view and helps you get your bearings a bit. Durga and Prabhu man the front gate in full uniform and are always waiting to warmly welcome you back (special thanks to Prabhu for patiently taking photos of us). The lobby and surrounding rooms are gorgeous. I won’t spoil the details. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom was particularly luxurious and we had a garden suite with a back porch, which was lovely as the light softened in the afternoons and the peacocks were strolling around. The bed was quite firm, but still comfortable. The room staff arranged a particularly nice welcome for us, surprises at multiple points throughout, and capitalized on both big and little opportunities to make our stay special - thanks to Maynal, Mitesh, and Mrunal for their impressive attention to detail and thoughtfulness. The food is consistently very good, with moments of excellence. Their beverage program could use a little help: 1) their wine list is lacking and stands out negatively compared to the rest of the hotel’s execution, and 2) their cocktails sounded good but the ones we ordered were lackluster aside from their Royal Old Fashioned - which is a fabulous drink. We did several outings and wish we’d had more time to explore - as hard as it is to convince yourself to leave the property, be sure to do so! Our guide was RV and he was great. Overall, shopping in the city wasn’t as good as we’ve experienced in other Indian cities but they did help us find a couple of great spots, plus the hotel’s boutique is actually an extremely well curated collection so you will likely have luck there. And finally, our visit’s MVP: Shubham Suwalka, our concierge. Once he learned what we were looking for and needed, he was an absolute star, and bailed us out of a departure travel issue that we created for ourselves. Big thanks to him for all his efforts! Other members of staff we’d like to call out: Gopal (boat captain and photographer extraordinaire), Iram and Philips for being the epitome of front of house hospitality in the restaurant, and the landscaping team (we didn’t interact with them directly but were constantly surrounded by the beautiful results of their work) [Other luxury hotels visited in the last 6 months in Asia/Pacific, being used for contrast: LikuLiku Lagoon (Fiji), Navutu Stars (Fiji), St. Regis Bora Bora (French Polynesia), Four Seasons Bora Bora (French Polynesia), Nahargahr Ranthambore (India), Taj Jai Mahal (India)]…
Best experience! We had such a great time in Udaivilas. The rooms, hospitality, food and the whole experience was excellent! The locale was beautiful and every corner of the property is gorgeous! The staff at Oberoi is so well trained to anticipate our every need and give us the best experience.
We stopped here for lunch. We hadn’t booked and it was mid afternoon. However staff were super helpful offering us a good selection of bar snacks and pizza, and some tiramisu and coffee for dessert. Absolutely beautiful grounds, immaculate hotel, would love to visit again if we can. Thank you 😊

The Oberoi Udaivilas is one of the finest stay that I have been to. From the moment we walked into The Oberoi property we were blown away by every detail and experience we encountered. The property is immaculate! We throughly enjoyed the tour of the 30 acre of gorgeous landscaping and learning about how it was a former hunting ground. Oberoi’s level of service is unparalleled and udaivilas is magical. Everything is perfect about this place, the location is probably the best in Udaipur., just in front of the lake, the view from the room was awesome and hospitality was amazing. The staff is more than courteous. Special mention to the personable and down to earth Mr. Prathar Khantwal (Sales Supervisor) who took the time to have a chat and whole resort tour. Warm regards Reekesh
One of the most beautiful properties in India, amazing staff and sumptuous meal - the landscape be the lakeside, courtyards, lush lawns are just amazing. The staff makes every noting of your preferences, expectations. The service in the restaurant is amazing and the food is simply outstanding.
We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Oberoi Cecil ,Simla and just could not resist to share our experience with others. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations in every way, thanks to the incredible staff. First and foremost, I must mention Ms. Deepika, the Front Office Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of amazing. Upon learning that I and my husband were celebrating our wedding anniversary during our stay, Ms. Deepika generously upgraded us to a beautiful suite. She also surprised us in the evening with a cake party organised in the Atrium lobby of the hotel where other staff members joined in, followed by a group photo... making us feel so so special...Her thoughtfulness and attention to detail made our anniversary celebration truly unforgettable. In addition to Ms. Deepika, I must also give a shoutout to Chef Raj Kumar for his exceptional culinary skills. The food at this hotel was simply divine, and every dish we had was a true work of art. Chef Raj Kumar's dishes were particularly outstanding, with each bite bursting with flavor and leaving us wanting more. From the luxurious accommodations to the outstanding staff, everything about our stay was perfect. Ms. Deepika and Chef Raj Kumar truly made our visit special, and we will never forget the wonderful memories we created during our time at this hotel. This would not be completed without the mention of one more amazing thing that Ms. Deepika did for us! On the day of our check out, she surprised us once again by presenting us with a beautiful photo of our cake ceremony that she had organized on our wedding anniversary. The photo wasbeautifully framed, and truly captured the essence of our special day. We were absolutely blown away by this thoughtful gesture, and it was the perfect way to end our stay at this wonderful hotel. Ms. Deepika's dedication to making our experience as memorable as possible truly went above and beyond, and we are so grateful to her for all that she did. In summary, Ms. Deepika's role in upgrading us to a suite, organizing the cake ceremony, and gifting us a photo of our special day on check-out truly made our stay unforgettable. The entire staff of the hotel was very warm and welcoming...that it felt like family... We will definitely be returning to this hotel and recommending it to all of our friends and family!…
Beautiful Hotel with amazing views. Rooms are large & spacious. The Spa pool is super. The Rajasthani food was sumptuous. The staff was courteous. The landscape of the gardens is outstanding. Overall a fantastic experience.
