The property is approximately a 55 minute drive from the airport. It is removed from the crowds of the city in a beautiful location with superb views.
Reservation directly with the hotel and check in went smoothly.
My daughter is in a wheelchair and the hotel is mostly accessible with rooms accessible by lifts. The bathroom has a single step and in the room we had the bathroom had no rails etc. For the new years eve celebration, the hotel organised a car to and from the venue (which was on a lower level without lift access) which was thoughtful.
The service was excellent - special mention for Mahinder Singh who was caring and provided superb service in the dining area along with Himmat Singh who was also good.
The Indian food was good though we found the food spicy. The western food could be improved. We addressed the spiciness and were offered options the next day.
I would like to mention the laundry service. By mistake I left money in my pocket and the entire amount of cash was returned to me with my laundry. I was unable to get the name of the person but I am thankful to the honest and upright staff of the hotel.
We had a slight hiccup at checkout as their card machine was not working so there was a delay at checkout.
Overall a great experience and I would highly recommend the hotel.

We got upgraded from another Fateh hotel into this brand new one (it opened for business just 15d before our arrival). The structure is brand new, massive, very comfortable and Enjoy a peacefull, relaxing and clean environment being located just 10' far from downtown Udaipur. Rooms large, new, clean and functional although WiFi and Sat channels must be better fine tuned (but we were probably the first guests in those rooms since the opening.. so not a big issue). Modern and clean bathrooms with all the amenities you would expect from similar top hotels. From most of the hotel you enjoy great views of the valley, lake and mountain. Staff was very kind, attentive and always smiling. We noticed a particular care to cleanness that is always a PLUS. Large and comfortable restaurant with a fairly wide and tasty section of Indian specialties with some welcome international additions.

Fateh Vilas a recently opened hotel by Fateh Collection was a revelation. An excellent and sprawling property, it offers excellent 360 degrees views of the surrounding Aravali ranges, lake Pichhola and Udaipur city. If you want peace and quiet a little away from the bustle of the city, this property is an ideal choice. The food and the service across the resort are tops. The choice at breakfast buffet is excellent. The choice of Indian and international food served was authentic and scrumptious. Our group organised three dinners and the Fateh Villas team ensured different locations for each evening including a fantastic ballroom built in classic Rajasthani style. The local architectural style integrated in the hotel’s design adds to the regality of this stunning resort. The property also features two large swimming pools plus spacious kids splash pools. The rooms are very spacious with large bathrooms ensuring a most comfortable stay.

Our 2-night stay at Fateh Vilas by Fateh Collection in Udaipur was nothing short of spectacular. This 5-star contemporary palace offers a truly royal experience that leaves guests feeling pampered and rejuvenated.

Relatively a new property but worth every penny and minute spent here. The staff is courteous and friendly. Beautiful views across the property. I was there in early October with friends. a little to the outskirts of the city, you may not get an uber ride easily or they would charge you extra. However, it was an outstanding experience there. Sitting at the terrace at nights enjoying star gazing with your best buddies, is something you cannot compare to anything. Food is delicious. Food in Udaipur is anyways good but I had the best experience eating at the hotel. I would 100% recommend this place for your next visit to Udaipur.

Hmm. A friend's son is getting married in a traditional Indian Wedding and we were invited. The ceremony is over three days and the "wedding organisers" offered rooms for three nights (at significant cost!).
We found that Kuoni could arrange a tour round before the Wedding (all great so far) and the booked an extra night at either end of the wedding, requestind the same room throughout. My friend, the father of the groom, also made the same request. When we checked in we were given a room but told we would have to "switch". So we wend down early this morning to find out about the arrangements for the switch, sin we had a long-standin, pre-booked excursion leaving at 9am. And there was total confusion. No-one - hotel or wedding arrangers - had a clue what was happening. So we said that we would go for breakfast and come back in 30 minutes. When we came back ewe were told that we could stay in the existing room for the duration of out stay.
So that's fine. We'd been messed around, but it was now sorted.
Sadly, when we returned from our tour, they sought us out and told us that we DID have to move rooms. At which point we were left standing around not knowing exactly what was happening before - eventually - being show a totally inferior room. No widows could be opened. THe aircondition unit was directly above the bed so would dump icy air on the sleepers below. The drawer in a bedside unit was nailed shut. etc, etc. When we pointed out the serious downgrade we were told it was the same class and that we could leave the door open for ventilation (it is just off one of the public areas of the hotel!)
Would I consider staying here again? Absolutely not. It's way below the standard of the three star hotels on our Kuoni tour, where they cannot do enough for you. Here, you get treated like a serf. Sad.

I like the way it’s built, White marble and vintage art pieces. Rooms has the vide of royal leaving with use of marble and wooden materials. In terms of food it was superb. Even though there was a buffet they still bring you whatever you would like to have, taking good care of childrens needs

We chose this place for our anniversary and it was an awesome vacay. We got "the best" hospitality ever. All the staff, at the reception and the restaurants were superb with all smiles and had a good conservation. The location of the hotel is just mesmerising between the mountains with great view of the lakes from the rooms. We stayed here for 4 days.
Check-in/out Process: It was smooth and our room was ready when we got there. We were offered to upgrade our room with the same price we booked. Thanks for the same.
Rooms: We booked "Renaissance Room with Sit Out", the room and the bathroom was pristine clean. The room was spacious. The bed was cozy, the room deco was excellent as well. The balcony was spacious with excellent view, cute little swing (the pillow was little uncomfortable to sit but its not a let down) and a long sitout place.
Pools: There were two pools and was maintained clean. The downstairs pool was in great spot. Though we did not get time to use it.
Property: The hotel is in style of a palace, spacious courtyard, excellent location, calm and serene place for a peaceful stay. The property is in just outside the main city making it free from all hustle and bustle however be sure to get any needful things before coming in example, medicines or so. You need atleast 2-3 hrs to go around the property if you like to admire nature and click beautiful pics. The place is great in early mornings and evenings.
Food & Restaturant: The food in the restaturant, room service were great. I have given a detailed review in Zomato for the restaurant. Our special appreciation to Mr. Mahendra Singh for his excellent hospitality at the restaurant.
Staff: The property has many wonderful staffs, I should specially thank each one of them with whom we had spoken. Always welcomed us with great smiles. Best hospitality we have ever had. Our special thanks to everyone. Mr. Gajendra Ganpat, who offered us the room upgrade and was kind enough to take around the property on our first day, explaining all the things. Mr. Devilal, he took us around giving a detailed information about the vintage car collection. It was great talking to him as well. Everyday when we came back to hotel after our sightseeing he used to offer us water. Ms. Kavita, a very benevolent person. She made our anniversary dinner very special by arranging us a jeep to go to Fateh Garh, it was a great experience. Everyday we were habituated to come to the reception for a little chat with her :) and others. Mr. Karan, we spoke to him on our check out. Being the House keeping manager, he did a great job.
Other Amenities: The Spa is yet to open. The vintage car collections is great.
Overall a memeorable vacation.

Beautiful place, located on the mountains away from the city hustle. Very humble and helping staff. Himmat singh, Sohan and housekeeping staff were really helpful in catering to our needs. You can also take a stroll around the property in d morning to witness the beautiful mountains of aravalli hills
