After room is booked ,service is very bad as they know they will get money anyway. Dont pick up calls at reception. Basic washroom toiletries not provided. Whenever asked for anything, they said they have no stock. Very very bad service people..management should look into it..

I have booked lakeview Room with Sitting aera on window. Shankar Hotel staff asked me to deposit 25% of booking amount. when I deposited he told me that same room not available and providing me lower room at the same rate. so Asked for cancellation. now its 12 days. and booking amount not refunded yet.

Pro:- 1. A house renovated as hotel in 2020. so kind of new property as in 2021. 2. we ordered prathans for breakfast which was okay. Tea was not that Good. Cons:- 1. Location of hotel is very bad. in narrow street of old udaipur. 2. As in staff , apart from owner , there is on young boy around 18--20 year old boy, he do everything for hotel. don't not expect hospitality as he is not a trained hotel management staff, he is just like local guys hired for it. 3. its hotel cum home stay. 4. They object outside food , but then they allow us after a discussion. which is fine. 5, you can see see the attached pic, back of hotel which you say lake view is very in backround of hotel. some local ladies take bath and wash cloth there. 6. overall ambiance of hotel is not good, its okay if you are only boys, family and couple please avoid. 7. Cost of hotel does not make sense , they charge you 40 rs for water bottle. which is also a local mineral water bottle not a branded one. 8. ola uber don't reach to hotel 9. no parking there, you have to look for some private parking, They arranged for us 200 per day in a private plot around 2 km away from hotet. autowala charge you 150/- from parking to hotel. in short it cost you 500 rs more per day. so better to spend on room tariff rather then spending on giving money to parking and autowalas. I won't recommend this for any family or couple. or if you are looking for hospitality. its okay if you are a boys group , just want to spend night, rooms and beds are clean. Important :- location is wrongly mapped on google maps to confuse customer. don't look for "jaidurg a lake retreat" that is wrong location on maps. look for only jaidurg.…

Hotel is good with nice view from rooftop and lake facing rooms .Food was excellent , every item on menu was perfect. Staff was courteous and helpful. The views from rooftop was game changer! Enjoyed our stay!

Booked 2 suite rooms for family. The lake view from rooms was too good. We had the best food in Udaipur in this hotel ( even better than some of the well knows restaurants ). Staff was courteous, ambience was good and rooftop view was the best of all. Highly recommended !

A good place to visit, with humble staff with and hospitality , food was awesome with authentic taste and in time serving , pleased with view of Sunset and silence of the lakes which give us a sense of peace..

Our stay at Jaydurg was superb .We loved the place because of its beauty of course and The lake view from our Suite room was awesome . The hospitality by the entire staff was outstanding We were made to feel very special and would love to visit again. Thanks to all the hotel team . Cheers

Me and my husband rode to udaipur on motorbike,l. what an experince, the higway, the veiw, and surprisngly mountains in rajasthan always heard about desert, but range of aravali mountains. And the lake city udaipur is surrounded by aravali mountains. Specially i m fully impressed by the culture and hospitality of rajasthan shown by place we stayed Jai durg .Jai durg nice place with good atmosphere and beautiful surrounding. Must visit. Thanks

Awesome place and amazing rooftop : We stayed here with some friends when visiting Udaipur. The hotel was great. The rooms big and comfortable with lake view. The view from the rooftop is really nice. Hotel is very well located, walking distance from all major sites. Strongly recommended.

Cosy room with a lovely balcony overlooking lake Pichola, affordable and great hospitality!!The best part is that it is very close to the rather famous Lal ghat and yet away from the chaos. Waking up to the beautiful view that the hotel offered was a pleasure indeed :)
