Aranya Villas is a newly opened resort. It is made up of cottages built under mature trees beside a small lake. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The restaurant has glass walls and was built around the existing trees which makes you feel like you are sitting in a forest rather than the heart of Udaipur.
The food is delicious and the menu includes a selection of classic Mewari dishes which you may not have the opportunity to taste elsewhere. Staff in the whole establishment, but especially the restaurant, are very attentive and helpful.
Sitting out in the evening watching the colourful birds, monkeys and squirrels was a delight.
The resort is around the corner from Lake Pichola and one of the entrances to City Palace so even though you don't want to leave the premises the major sites of Udaipur are all a short stroll away.
They are currently building a swimming pool and cafe as well as completing the last of the cottages but this does not impact negatively on the existing cottages.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Aranya Villas for a peaceful, relaxing stay in Udaipur.

The stay at Aranya vilas, Udiapur has been exceptionally good. Apart from the fact that the property is very well designed, the maintenance of the property is commendable. The slightest of the detail is being taken care of. Cleanliness/Housekeeping is to the point that even the small plants surrounding your room/suite gets cleaned everyday.
The thing that makes a place/stay memorable is the quality service that is given there and man this place has full of such people. We observed the staff which was very well dressed, fabulous soft skills/communication, personal touch to every requirement and the most important part was that smile on their faces while delivering the requested services even during the odd hours. Kudos to you all.
To name a few members here, Sanoj Kumar, Mohd Imtiyaz, Khusal singh. The coordination and eye for detail in this team is much appreciated. You guys are rockstars and appreciation for the team leader too.
Food is another important factor for a fantastic stay and with confidence from everyone in our family we would like share that all Breakast and dinner that we had there for good three days was awesome and in fact it was custom made with accuracy that we had requested. Good job Chef Kalyan singh and the entire team in the kitchen.
I along with my wife and son, had stayed there early this month and I forgot to give this feedback but as they say trips like this creates memories and you always cherish them. Today suddenly looking at the pictures I realized that I am yet to give my feedback, so here it is.
To sum everything up, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and will always look forward to visit this property again. Please keep up the good work guys.

The property has everything one would require hammocks, bonnfire, pool access, bar, swings, bath tub, jacuzzi and one natural pond. Food is also good, staff is polite. Just one thing hairdryer in rooms are available on request only. Rest you get the access to live folk dances and other cultural performances based on what is available at that night. Guest relations spoc Akshay Raj was really kind and helpful to all our needs. Since it was our first wedding anniversary the staff provided us fresh Roses in a good quantity for bath tub. The bath tub can easily fit 2 tall and healthy adults and has good depth, quite spacious. Overall our experience was quite overwhelming. Definitely recommend this property to families and couples.

Positive - Resort is well maintained and beautiful with big and spacious rooms. Staff is polite.
Negative - Food is very expensive and average quality. Small portion of khichdi cost us Rs 350. Wifi did not work throught the stay despite of multiple complaints. Tv was not recharged due to which we could not watch TV on the first day. You can just sit in the room and watch tv because there is no other facilities like gym, pool, games etc. There is no 1st aid available with them

A green resort in an otherwise urban city. Highly recommended for stay in Udaipur.
Attractions like City Palace, Pichola Lake boating pier, Karni Mata Ropeway are at walkable distance. Other attractions like Ambrai ghat, Saheliyon kee badi, Bapu Bazaar and Haathi Pole can be conveniently covered by auto easily available at the main gate.
Independent cottages are spread across a small wooded area and provide a serene and relaxing environment. Rooms are very spacious, ventilated, neat & clean, and have all in-room amenities one normally would require. Each has a private sit-out area.
Breakfast was included in the plan, and was served as buffet. It offers decent variety of dishes, and all tasted very good. Recommended.
There are good restaurants like Jaajam and Oladar Village which are at a walking distance, if you are not in mood to have dinner at the hotel.
Staff was polite and helpful.
Unlike other lakeside hotels located near ghats which are approachable only through narrow lanes (a challenge if you are in your own vehicle), this is conveniently accessible via city roads which can get congested during office hours but are much wider. Getting in and out of the property is not an issue at all for MUVs/SUVs.
Parking space is ample.
Pond can be maintained better. The side adjoining the passage to Mahadev temple was smelling a bit. Not worth spending extra on Pond View rooms in my opinion.
If traveling with family and needing two rooms, ask for the family suite which is two interconnected independent cottages.
Don't miss the tea at Mangal Chai point which is at walking distance from main gate towards city palace.
There are swings, bikes and a small play area for kids and adults alike to enjoy,
Do explore the property. There is a walking trail inside the resort and many good spots for photography :)
Worth mentioning that each room was provided with 4 litres of complimentary bottled water every day!

Horrible Experience. Had booked for 2+1 nights in august. The hotel was cancelled 15 days in advance due to mother's rheumatism pain and proper documents were shared. Hotel authorities denied refund and we're willing to give a one month period to come again and also pay a differential of 6k for two rooms.

One of the best place to relax and connect with nature. I stayed with family for 2 nights and our stay was very peaceful and best time we had in recent times. The resort is location within the city very close to Lake Pichola and Karni mata temple but once you are in the resort it feels like some different place far from crowd and pollution. Resort is so well managed and maintained by the staff. Food quality is A One , staff is very polite and friendly. Especially Ms. Ganga .

Came to know about this from one of our old acquaintance who was working there mr shiv murti. Our first visit was a little skeptical about food and location but we had a wonderful experience at the first go. So we decided to visit again and this tine it was full family fanfare. Staff was courteous eager to help serving foid. Chef visit to table was a pleasant experience and ordered food according to our taste. Food was really good and ambience was super. The interiors has been nicely done with and mix blend of ethnic and contemporary with modern sofas and sitting arrangement was adding glare to the aura. Keep it up brothers. More visit to come.

Aranya Vilas is a new resort in Udaipur city . Just with in the walking distance from city palace . The property is very well decorated and all the cottages gives a good panaromic view of whole resort and lake from with in . Property has a big area and is very much comfortable for your expectations in congested but beautiful Udaipur city . Staff, in Aranya Vilas puts every effort for guests to make them comfortable and relaxed . Food in the restaurant is tasty and having a wonderful dinner in the balcony of your cottage is unforgettable .
During checkout, They had some confusion and billed for the stay of my 8 years Old daughter .which they refunded quickly without any concerns . That is quite appreciable .
I visited this resort with my family in October 2020 . And I can truly recommend them to others .
