Nestled in a prime location with stunning lake views, the Radisson Blu Palace Resort & Spa, Udaipur, garners mixed reviews. Guests commend the royal ambiance and traditional entertainment but raise concerns about maintenance and housekeeping issues, which detract from the otherwise well-maintained spaces.
While the service receives both praise for its professionalism and criticism for inefficiency, travelers frequently question the value, pointing to overpriced rates in light of their experiences with service and room quality.

I had an amazing time at Radisson Blu. The stay started with a warm welcome from the staff, and the room was impeccably clean with stunning views of the Aravalis and the lake, making our stay even more enchanting. The food was absolutely delicious, and I would like to extend my gratitude to the chef for that. The staff was incredibly helpful with everything, and the central location in Udaipur made it extremely convenient to travel around. Thank you for making my stay unforgettable.

I had an excellent stay at the hotel. Anjum from Front desk was very calm in handling few other difficult guests who needed early check-in. Nevertheless, she was patient, always calm & smiling, The suite she gave me was huge and there’s lot of things to do inside the resort. They have tambola and a puppet show every evening along with complimentary high tea which was a good way to spend an evening. Dinner at their roof top restaurant is not to be missed. The guy on the mic sang really good melodies. I was dependent on hotel cabs for some sightseeing due to tension in town, which I felt were overpriced. Rs 2100 for Sajjangarh monsoon palace which is just 4 km away is quite steep. The housekeeping staff had to be reminded twice to dry the bathroom on one of the nights which was a little off but they did it the third time- I think the delay was primarily because the front desk guy was lackadaisical. Otherwise, no complaints. The stay was worth it & definitely value for money.

Stayed at this property for 3 nights. It's a beautiful resort but the soft product really really lacks. When we checked in we were a alloted a room with a maintaince ladder right in the middle of the room. Eventually the staff removed it and when we entered the room it was a room which was not even cleaned after the last guest's check-out. Literally all garbage / used bed sheets everything was there. Not even towels / bottled water nothing. Literally the worst check-in experience I have faced in my life ever. The check-in staff who escorted us into the room should have been the one noticing this and not the guest. The staff clearly is untrained. Though they did give us a much better clean room in next 10 mins. Request for an extra bed made at 8 pm, was fulfilled at 11:30 pm after atleast 6 calls, the last one being very unpleasent which finally led them to do the needful. Every day after cleaning the room, no bath/ hand towels were left on the room. Had to Call the housekeeping every day for the same. 1 lift of the 2 was not working. Even the service lifts were not working in the hotel, so 90% of the time lifts were used by staff delivering food in trolleys or sending luggage to the room. Every time to reach reception (2 floors down) and restaurant ( 4 floors down) was a task. Twice we had to use stairs to go up (4floors), really irresponsible for a 5 star charging 15k a night. Toiletries not upto the mark. Water pressure in bathroom 2 star standard. Breakfast was almost like a marriage function with 200-300 ppl filled up In a room and food kept in an unhygienic condition. Luckily we were seated in the adjoining Chinese restaurant for breakfast everyday which was a much much better / personalised experience. Hats off to the breakfast staff for always beeing on the toes and managing everything. I did not see an empty dish All through. Which as per the number of guests in the breakfast area was a task. The resturant staff was really good. The food (breakfast and roof top Aravalli restaurant) tasted very good. Full marks for that. I think it's the top level that really needs to pull up their game. Be it the owners, who need to invest more in the maintainence of the property and the managerial level team to work on the basic service that a five star guest expects. Stayed at a lot of raddisons before and I know it's not a JW Marriott or taj level product but have had much much better experiences at other raddissons. Really need to work hard to maintain 5 star levels.

The only good thing about Radisson Blu is the location, and other than that, everything is a huge disappointment. Here's why:
One elevator isn't working and I've read reviews of guests complaining about it since 3+ months. This means the management has done nothing about it. The one elevator which is working is usually busy with the staff carrying trolleys. Hence, no matter your age, stairs are your only option.
The "superior" category rooms are the worst. The window gives you a clean view of a dump yard and the bathrooms are very dirty, especially the sink which does not drain the water. The blankets were torn. A special feature of the room is that the cupboard will open in the bathroom since it does not have a proper closure, making it hard to maintain privacy. I wonder why they are called superior.
The food at the Terrace, lounge or the restaurant is overpriced and below par. Never order Sizzlers or sandwich here. There are ample restaurants which are way better than the food served here (Ambrai, Kaner baug, 1559 AD, Hocco, Raajbagh).
The breakfast is below average and it is complete chaos there. They are short staffed, the food quality is disappointing, they repeat the same items every morning. The only person who cared about guests and service was Bikram and he was doing whatever best he can.
The televisions aren't working in the rooms because "IT needs to check" and "apps need to be downloaded".
The house keeping will only clean your room after multiple calls and visits to the reception requesting them to do the same. Also, the intercom doesn't work in all rooms.
The staff is exhausted, really slow and they don't care. Throughout my stay, I saw more than 6 guests arguing with the staff regarding the service and all of us left disappointed, hopeless and tired. All that the management says is "we're looking into it".
I've stayed in several Radisson properties in the past but this has been my worst experience ever. I'd never ever recommended anyone to book this property.

Had the most terrible experience of my life at this property. Had to change rooms three times in a 2 night stay, and even after getting upgraded to a suite we still faced problems with hot water supply.
We checked in smoothly, were allotted a room. We noticed a beeping sound coming in the room, so requested assistance. A person from security came and said it's from the AC, and he will send a technician. After waiting for almost 30 minutes, when no one turned up, we followed up with help desk. Finally a technician turned up and took another 20 minutes to inspect, after which he said the sound will remain and we can request a room change if we want.
We asked for a room change, they gave us another room which seemed that it hadn't been cleaned properly. Used shampoo bottles were in the bathroom, hair on side tables. We were tired and it was night so we decided to sleep off. Next morning we realized that there was hardly any pressure in shower and no hot water.
We requested help again, after a long wait and multiple follow-ups, their plumber came to check the shower. He repaired the pressure but there still wasn't any hot water. He said to wait for a while and it will come, meanwhile we requested housekeeping to clean the bathroom because it got dirty after repair. We were told housekeeping will take another 30 minutes to arrive. By this time there was still no hot water and we were running late for our Udaipur tour. We requested another room change.
Front desk told us rooms were being checked out and no clean rooms can be made available before half an hour. By this time we had spent overall 2 hours waiting for resolution. Finally they gave us a downgraded room near the lobby to freshen up, while they waited to prepare a suite to upgrade us. This room also DID NOT HAVE HOT WATER, which was our primary request.
We were already very late, so left without showering. When we came back in late afternoon they had shifted our luggage to a suite, but even here, we did not get hot water. We were too fed up to argue any more and had to head out again so we just gave up.
Overall, it was the most harrowing experience, being told that water is fine after telling them that it's cold, being told that cleaning has been done even though there were used bottles in bathrooms.
I would not recommend anyone to stay at any Radisson property, where guests are treated as a nuisance and made to feel like a burden even after paying a huge amount for their rooms.

We had booked a Heritage Suite at this hotel for odd 36k per night for 2 nights. First of all there was no drinking water in our room. Upon requesting several times at the front desk RO water was sent in 1 hr. Atleast mineral water is expected in a room of such high cost. The room was also in dilapidated condition with broken furniture. Glass shower partition was missing in the bathroom, so the water would spread all around the bathroom if you plan to use the overhead shower. The next morning, we found out that there was no hot water in the taps. The pressure was also not enough to take a bath. My husband ended up taking bath with cold water as he was already in the shower when he realized this. Me and my daughter couldn’t bathe. There was some issue with their heat pump and pressure pump which couldn’t be rectified. They couldn’t transfer us to another as the hotel was fully booked for a wedding. The same problem persisted the next day also. The top management was not willing to compensate us for this. They only made the airport transfer complementary and 20% off on the food bill which we had at the hotel.

We received a traditional welcome by drummers on arrival and led to an impressive entrance lounge where we checked in. We was advised that we had been upgraded to one of the Heritage Suites and to wait a few moments. In fact we waited for the best part of 45 minutes and had to chase staff to be shown to our room which was located at the far corner of the complex. The living and bedroom areas of the suite were quite impressive however the bathroom was quite the opposite, the paint on the vanity units was peeling and we don't think the area under them had been cleaned in months. Service in the restaurant was very good as was the food especially breakfast where there was such a large selection. The temperature in our room was just right and we fell asleep almost immediately, only to be woken up in the middle of the night with loud talking and machinery from the other side of the bedroom wall. The second night was even worse with what sounded like a generator running for hours. After a long days sightseeing we returned to our room at 6.00pm to find that it hadn't been cleaned, needing a rest we told the staff not to bother. One other thing the seating area outside the door was poor with metal chairs, only one of which had a cushion. What we saw of the hotel was quite impressive with a large terraced area that overlooked a lake, albeit in the distance, decent pools and lawns. Although I have highlighted areas that need addressing overall our stay was fairly pleasant.

The deputy manager - Mr. Praveen and reception billing staff - Mr. Tanish Gupta were rude, impolite and disrespectful. Mr. Praveen could not resolve a booking discrepancy and I had to get that resolved by Deputy manager Fatima. The discrepancy in the booking was informed prior to arrival (2months) and confirmed by the booking department - Mr. Nityanad Kumar of the hotel via email. Yet Mr. Praveen (evening Deputy manager in charge) could not resolve the issue and insinuated doubt in my explanations. I had to finally get it resolved by Ms. Fatima the next morning.
The shower in the room was broken, the shower glass door was unhinged posing a risk to safety.
The staircase in the atrium had its handrails lower than allowable safety height while balustrades had dangerous gaps through which a child could have a fatal fall.
All day dining restaurant during breakfast time was overcrowded and waiters did not serve well.
Bath Towels were not replaced by house keeping,
Loud thumping music played by a function on the roof of the hotel late at night (30 March 2024) past 10am, which is the allowable time limit to have loud music by the government of India.
Overall a very horrible experience. Not worth the money spent.
