We had booked Hari Niwas for 3 nights during end of November and were extremely happy with our stay! We had 3 rooms to ourselves. All the rooms are clean, neat and well maintained. Each corner of the house has beautiful decor. The house has a charm of an old haveli, yet it is equipped with modern facilities. The room rates are reasonable too. But it's the simple and homely atmosphere that makes the stay wonderful. The location makes it convenient as it is in close proximity to most popular places to visit and lakeside restaurants. The rooftop is a perfect spot to relax, especially in the weather during that time of the year. Since we were two families, the spot was ideal for us to sit together in the evenings post sightseeing, and chat whilst enjoying the breeze and a couple of drinks keeping us warm. Also for breakfast and a hot cup of coffee/tea! Above all, kudos to the hosts Preeti and Deepu. As I am a hotelier, I can vouch for the fact that it's finally the people that create the most impact in any hospitality service. The two ladies were brilliant hosts, their warmth made us feel comfortable and at home. They were helpful with sightseeing and restaurant recommendations as well. Great amount of detail in cleanliness and hygiene could be observed. Also cooked up some delicious breakfast for us! If you're looking for a second home in Udaipur, then this is the place to be :) …

Our stay was extremely cozy and comfortable and the hosts were delightful. The rooms are beautiful. It’s great since the guest house is close to most of the tourist spots. I would love to stay here again.
Another wonderful property at very reasonable price, with amazing room & restaurant facility as per your mood ( open air & enclosed ). The services are superb, food is usp of them ( very finger leaking food ). Has huge & amazing collection antique for sale. Super worst stay.
I had the pleasure of staying at this homestay of two sisters. Enjoyed my stay on the rooftop with home cooked food. God bless both the sisters. The guest house is convenient to reach from the railway station.

We had awesome hospitality experience during out visit. We felt home the moment we entered to beautiful house.Breakfast and Dinner was awesome, I love the location and room. My 3 year old daughter was enjoying a lot the place and environment. All and all , i will give this place 5 star and will certainly recommend everyone to go there. I will for sure will visit again. I thank to dear sister(s) behalf of My family and loads of love from my daughter Gauri !
This is an unbelievable place to stay and enjoy life! Family business run by 2 sisters. Small guesthouse with all the attention of the hosts for their guests. Very nice lay out. The rooms are very nicely decorated and with ALL comfort. Breakfast is huge and vary from one day to another. The 2 sisters are in charge of everything and want to make sure your stay is part of the best moments of your trip. We planned to stay a couple of days and we stayed 8 days. Should we mention the great rooftop to enjoy your meal, the perfect location for the Udaipur highlights? We are Canadian on a long cycling journey in Asia and we could have added a 6th stars if google would have give us the options. Thank you to have treated us like king and queen !
Once through the ancient crimson painted, carved doors of the haveli you are in a cool characterful oasis of peace and comfort. Unlike in many grander hotels in India, here everything works and is provided before you ask. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with beautifully painted walls and ceiling, air conditioning and a ceiling fan. The bath room was clean with a good shower and free toiletries. Very efficient wifi. Hari Niwas is perfectly located set amidst bustling street life. if you turn left from the front door you are within easy reach of City Palace (you can see it from the roof) and Jagdish Temple, but the guest house is away from immediate tourist tat and backpacker bunkhouses. Turning right from the front door a short walk leads to the southern entrance to the Palace complex and the boathouse for trips on the Lake Pichola. The sisters, Preethi and Deepu couldn't do more to be quietly helpful, welcoming and efficient. Breakfast on the terrace to a morning chorus of traffic , recorded dustcart music and temple drumming, was memorable, as were Deepu's methi paratha's.…
Our experience at Hari Niwas was great! Not only is the property gorgeous, impeccably clean and very central, everybody working there is also super friendly and forthcoming. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious and when the owner made some dessert during the day she came up to our room to offer us some. If you're thinking about booking a stay at this place, don't hesitate - I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
We stayed for 4 nights at this wonderful guest house. The rooms are very comfortable and the guest house is right in the middle of the old part of town. It is the sisters, Preeti and Deepu who will make your stay unforgettable. Nothing is too much for trouble for them. When we arrived they gave us some tremendous restaurant recommendations, and told up about all the interesting places to visit. Every day they would bring us tea after we returned in the afternoon and they were always smiling and helpful. A charming place to stay in Udaipur.
