After thorough search on Hotel Booking site I found this gem, the Owner was very courteous, room was neatly clean, food was awesome,, but the best thing was the stunning view u get from your room balcony,, we just sit in balcony for hours watching sunsets and after dark the stunning night view of Lake Pichola.. The hotel is just on walking distance of famed Jagdish Temple.. I think the words is not enough for complimenting the guest house
Very well managed property. Each & every person of the guest house is very humble to us. Such a peaceful place, with a nice view 😍 *Price- pocket friendly & In your budget near by city palace. Special thanks to Roushi bhai to guide us, to help us in our tough time.❤️😍 Thanks to “Peacock paying guest house” 🏡❤️ Udaipur ❤️
After traveling around Rajasthan for a month we wanted somewhere peaceful to relax. We had researched many guesthouses in the area and decided to book the Peacock for a week and it exceed our expectations. There are 5 rooms, split over 3 floors. All have amazing views over lake Pichola, and a roof terrace above to sit and watch the glorious sunsets. You access the guesthouse via a little courtyard of local houses, and climb up several flights of narrow steps. Our room had a good supply of hot water, comfortable beds and pillows. It was very clean and had a fan and AC. It is situated in the heart of the main tourist attractions. The Jagdish temple, Bagore ki Haveli, City Palace are all just a short walk away. It is set back away from the busy streets, so we found it quite peaceful for sleeping. Now to the hosts Munna and Nina. As other guests have mentioned, they can not do enough to help. This is the advantage of a guesthouse, over staying in a hotel. You get a warm, friendly service and feel like part of the family. We were also lucky enough to meet their son Roshi, who helped us arrange new SIM cards. We did not have the strongest WiFi signal, so they gave us a mifi device to use during our stay. Neena does cooking classes on the balcony outside the kitchen, imagine cooking with that view! She also cooked a traditional Indian dhal bhati for us to try, and it was delicious. Overall this turned out to be one of the best places we stayed in Rajasthan. We enjoyed it so much we hope to return again next year to experience some more of the superb hospitality. Thank you Munna and Neena.…
Excellent location - with amazing roof top views from the balcony as you walk out from your room, one of the best places to watch the sunset( I would say better than monsoon palace!). The hosts Moona and Neena go above an beyond what you would expect from hosts, they were so friendly and helpful and really made the stay enjoyable. There is also the opportunity to do yoga and cooking classes (would highly recommend). If I am ever back in udaipur this is where I would want to stay.
We stayed only one night but the owner was really lovely, made everything convenient for us. We left towel outside to dry and they helped us to put them inside when it started raining and we were outside in the city, which is a very nice tough. Location is good, one of the highest terrace in Udaipur with a great view on all the city. Walking distance to everything to need to see. Room was simple yet comfortable. Strongly recommend this guesthouse if you want a nice short stay in Udaipur
