Stayed here 2 Nights, It has decent and large rooms having good facilities, staff is very courteous especially Mr. Ankit at the reception and he will guide you also, their highlight is the rooftop restaurant named SunnMoon basically the best food you can get in the old city, staff there is also very polite and helpful especially Ms. Anitma and Mr. Mohit
Had booked this hotel through Agoda website. This hotel - Udai Niwas was rated as a luxury hotel. To begin with you cannot reach this hotel in a car, and have to tug your luggage almost 1-2 km or pay an exorbitant autorickshaw fare. Next there is no name plate of the hotel, and you have to go through the entrance of a Cafe. The room which looked like a palace on website was dark and small with very poor lighting and cockroaches swarming the whole room. My 8 year old daughter was petrified of the whole place. So I requested for an upgrade to another ao called ‘Super Delux’ room which was another ball game. Bottom line avoid this hotel, not worth a single penny. I would be writing to Agoda also so that tourists are not fleeced by hotels like this.
The hotel is situated in the heart of Udaipur. We loved the stay... a little noisy as it's in a crowded area and due to some construction. But the staff is nice.. And the rooftop restaurant is awesome!
I would highly recommend the hotel. The location is perfect if you will work and discover the city. It is located near Pichola lake and you could clearly see lake palace and jagmandir. Which is a memorable view. The rooms are amazing. This hotel is based in old Udaipur, and this city has a different vibe. You get to see the raw Udaipur. Don’t get me started about the staff, they are the best, they are always warm welcoming us. I’ll definitely come again once am back in Udaipur.
Booked an 8 night stay here but only ended up staying for 1 night before calling Treebo to arrange transfer to another hotel, mainly because our room stank of raw sewage from the bathroom drains. The lift/elevator was tiny and ancient, the stairs narrow and very steep. We had a nice view with a glimpse of the lake and the location is good for access to lakeside attractions, though cars can't access the area so will drop you some distance away (one dropped us at the end of the road, another refused to go that far and dropped us 800m away). Using autos is no problem though they will overcharge. The desk staff weren't particularly friendly or polite. We did not find the room to be comfortable or clean, though our impressions were probably negatively coloured by the awful smell.
Great views from rooftop restaurants. Staff was cooperative and helpfull. Near to ghat and the city city p makes it easy to reach vy walking just few steps. Nice place to stay and explore the city. Food can be improved.
The hotel management is useless. Basic amenities like water and electric supply are not available. And the management is least interested in resolving any issues faced by the customer. CLEANLINESS IS A BIG ISSUE. Restaurant is extremely dirty with leftovers and used utensils lying around from the previous day.
extremely small rooms and not a place for family at all. just the location is good, rest everything is substandard. breakfast is merely available without quality and spread. all in all, this hotel is not worth the stay for a family
Where does one start Everyone was manager but no ownership. Although requested additional mattress were given old & split mattress. Dirty rooms. Openly challenging I "complain whoever you want - don't care". Can go on & on
Location is excellent with all major attractions in walking distance, Roof top view is great. However cleaniness inside rooms needs improvement. Towels were not clean, wifi was not accessible, TV signal did not work out. The lift is available, but only from 1st floor onwards. Stair case are very narrow, difficult for older people or in case of any emergency. Food in the restaurant was great, however breakfast was very ordinary with not much to offer.
