Ranthambhore is the world’s finest place to observe tigers in the wild, and SUJÁN Sher Bagh is the ideal base from which to explore this billion-year-old forest, with the mighty citadel that lends its name to the reserve rising majestically at the heart of it. With ruins of palaces, cenotaphs and follies dotted around the jungle, now inhabited by its wild denizens, with the tiger at the apex, it is a spectacular wildlife haven. Sher Bagh, evokes nostalgic sensibilities of life on safari during the heydays of an era celebrated for its art de vivre, living elegantly under canvas, whilst on safari. With crackling campfires under starlit skies, sumptuous Anglo-Indian repasts using homegrown organic produce, coupled with old-world service, the camp epitomises life on safari as it ought to be lived. Crackling campfires under star lit skies, naturalists to share the facts of the forest, it’s a place where comfort, style and an unmatchable commitment to conservation meet. With over 40 years experience, Sher Bagh’s guides and trackers are the best in the business. Their incredible knowledge of the park and the behaviour of its star inhabitant, the tiger, together with their passionate enthusiasm, make a stay here unparalleled.

There aren't enough words to express our gratitude to the team at Sher Bagh. Divya and Divyanshu were both commendable and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant & seamless experience for everyone! The camp style dinner spread was luscious, yet surprisingly sustainable! Hats off to the entire culinary team for the excellent curating! Sher Bagh definitely has positioned itself as my one of my favorite properties to recommend to friends and family.

One of the best hotels in the world. An experience that feels like it belongs to a more refined age. Stunning rooms and landscape, impeccable service, the smallest details were perfection. The beating heart of the place was the staff, warm, attentive, caring and perfect. Prateek the GM took care of us like family, Jethuji made us all feel at home and every single person went above and beyond. The Game drives were lovely, but every single day all we wanted to do was to return to this slice of heaven. The dinners arranged around camp fires with a hundred lanterns glowing were an unforgettable nightly affair- nothing could have been better. I would return as often as I can.

My family took me to Sherbagh to celebrate my 70th. It was a truly magical holiday as the hotel team made sure that I was pampered to the core. Took five game drives and had successful sightings during four of the drives. Enjoyed the sumptuous meals, selection of great wines and single malts. On the day I was treated to a sufi music open air performance by the Manganiyars amidst lanterns and outdoor seating and food cooked on an open fire. We stayed in an exceptional suite with our private swimming pool. The service all around was impeccable and of the highest quality. We took a massage and it was an amazing experience, one of the best massages in a long time. All in all our's was an exceptional experience and we would happily go back to the property just for the tiger sightings and amazing hospitality!!

We were 3 families who went to this place and we were so taken back by the fantastic hospitality of all the staff members starting from registration to our butler Ajay. Their humbleness, always ready to help with a smiling attitude, took our breath away. the property was immaculate and very luxurious. Rooms were very spacious and because there are only 12 rooms it was very cozy. Everything was kept in such a new condition. I can go on on on about the staff and sill it would not be enough praise for them. We needed help in the middle of the night as one of the children had an upset stomach. They came to our room at 2:30 AM with a smile and got the room in order within 30 minutes as brand new. Each member of the staff was so accommodating. we were thoroughly spoiled for choice of food. Whatever we wanted they would whip it up in matter of moments. With the 12 of us we were a very demanding group but Sujan accommodated all our demands with a smile..They made each night at dinner a different setting in a different location. We were truly treated like royalty. I would highly recommend Sujan to the whole world. There was not a moment of disappointment at this place. Thank you Sujan fo making this holiday very very memorable.l

Came to stay in late Jan/early Feb with my husband and our little one. We visited few years back but this was our first time back in the state since Covid, and first time back in India with our toddler. We wanted to stay somewhere special, and it did not disappoint!! The resort is beautiful, the decor really works well with the natural surroundings and the beds are so so so comfortable! I needed an extra pillow after the first night for my back problems, and they gave me 3! The food in resort was out of the world, which we were relieved about because there's no alternative options really. Given the more remote location it's understandable they have set menus with some limitations. Unfortunately I am British so cannot really handle too much spice, while my husband is Indian and eats chillies like popcorn. The chef was able to deviate off course to create a few less spicy dishes for me and my daughter with the ingredients he had available, which we really, really appreciated. I also have some minor food allergies - notified in advance and they made sure there was always something appropriate for me. We had an incredible safari experience and even saw a tiger! Not too close but still an amazing experience. My husband is a bird watcher and says the bird life was best he's seen in India. All the staff were amazing throughout our entire stay, especially Divya and Yuvraj :) They especially became more like friends, and we look forward to meeting them as our personal guests one day if they come to Kerala!

Booked this hotel with a lot of excitement for myself and a group of friends with children. We booked 9 out of their 11 rooms and were still meted out with poor service. Was disappointed on multiple counts - Safari Breakfast - Day 1 we got a thermos of chai, some rusk and 4 energy balls the size of ferrero rochers. On requesting them to include sandwiches, and coffee and milk for the kids, we were told that both tea and coffee is not possible and that we would have to pick one. Further, they would send us any one type of sandwich but this was not their protocol for safari breakfasts and would do so because we were requesting it. For a hotel charging the kind of prices they do and said prices are inclusive of board, they were clearly skimping. Afternoon safari - no beverages, no snacks, not even those energy balls. Just water. Incidentally, on speaking to few of the previous guests who have been here, this wasn’t what was served to them. Sujan cares who you are-either you gotta be some industrialist/politician/bollywood type or a white skinned tourist and a red carpet is rolled out for you. The hotel has an archaic (read slave) policy of service, where you press a call button, a member of staff comes to enquire what you need and then goes back to bring it. Put a house phone already. There’s nothing charming about making a guy walk twice the distance for a bottle of water, especially when you’re understaffed. Even wake up calls are invasive with the butler showing up at your door to wake you up. Several members of higher staff were without masks on multiple occasions, especially when they came to speak to us. The servers, house keeping staff were usually always masked. Covid protocols, questionable. Hotel seems to be understaffed and not able to manage full occupancy or large group reservations. They were not able to service all the needs of our group, these lapses in service being too many to recount. Food on the property was mediocre at best. Items would often come to the table at room temperature and sometimes would take an hour to come . Their dinners (buffets) although quite rich were far better than their breakfast and lunch which was mostly a la carte continental, and barring a handful of items, lacking in flavour. I thought being part of Relais and Chateaux means food is important; not for this property unfortunately. While the tents are nice and the property is newly renovated and aesthetically appealing, their service, quality of food and general attitude towards their guests leaves a lot to be desired. Certainly not worth the hefty prices they charge. We had to ask for basic things and while they did give us those things like sandwiches and tea and coffee at our safari the next day, it was without any grace as if they were doing us a favor. The truth is, we shouldn’t have had to even ask. Three and four star properties send you tea AND coffee and enough food for you to share with your guide and driver. Very disappointed overall.

After reading the reviews here i was much looking forward to a luxury resort experience at Sujan Shrebagh, however the overall stay left much to be desired. The pros: recently renovated, modern rooms. Cozy sit out area to enjoy a drink. The cons: understaffed to handle high occupancy, so the service (room service, dining, etc) was very slow. For example, they would forget to include breakfast baskets in the Safari jeeps, or mess up dining orders completely. We found it to be not kid friendly at all - my and other kids in the group couldn't eat any of the food and they wouldn't reduce the spice levels or modify it despite repeated requests. Also, their staff was rude and inexplicably condescending - very reasonable requests we made were responded to by 'we are not used to doing this'. At one point a wait staff told us they would only serve each person tea or coffee, but not both. It was frankly a baffling experience, not nearly at par with similar resorts anywhere.

Sujan Sher Bagh is one of its kind in many ways. The hotel, rooms, food and the service. The hotel was beyond our expectations- both luxurious and truly relaxing, a stunning and special place conceived with thoughtfulness. It’s unlike any other hotels we have visited in India. The team lead by Prateek is exceptional in every way, so professional, sharing a warm smile and laughter and made us feel welcome during our stay. They look for ways to be of assistance while still maintaining a relaxed feeling. We would like to thank Prateek, Devang, Divianshu and the entire team for going out of their way and ensuring a wonderful stay for us. The hotel is work of art - gorgeous spaces from the views and attention to detail is commendable. The food was outstanding - fresh and beyond delicious. A must visit!

We were a group of 24 who went there to celebrate our friends milestone birthday. We had our kids with us and their basic needs like non spicy food could not be met with. Some of the staff there were very rude and one of them made a racist comment saying that they only cater to foreigners and well traveled Indians. The least you can expect from am Indian working in India. Their service and food were pathetic, definitely not what a 5star hotel serves. The experience was definitely not worth the money spent. Would never ever recommend this place to anyone.
