I love wildlife photography, So going to Ranthambhore is you can say a must for every wildlife enthusiast ,On my first two visits there I stayed in a five star property, But Soon I Realized That I am going there too often and staying in a five star is becoming a bit heavy on my pocket, So a little Google search in finding a budget accommodation in Ranthambhore took me to Hotel Green View. I spoke with the manager Vishnu Singh Rathod and he quickly gave me the best A.P.plan with the pickup and drop at the Sawai Madhopur station.
On reaching the Sawai Madhopur station, The pickup vehicle (generally a open gypsy) was on time and we headed to the hotel which was a 10 min drive.
On reaching the hotel I was greeted with the manager Vishnu sigh and he quickly introduced me to his small army staff.(They are truly an army coz they make sure you stay here safe, comfortable and happy.)
The rooms were neat and clean, Toilets clean, Air conditioner, Television properly working.
Breakfast, lunch, dinner is either served in the room or you can sit on the terrace facing the beautiful Aravali And Vindya mountain ranges and trust me the food is awesome! Vishnu Singh has the best of cooks ,Special Rajhasthani delicacies were made and served (Ask the cook to make them one day for dinner)
As I had come to Ranthambhore at the last moment none of my safaris to go in the park were booked,But there are no worries when Vishnu Singh is around, He managed all my safaris in the Tatkal Quota (last minute urgent safari requirement). Thanks! to him all my 6 rides to the park were successful.
The hotel also offers body massage, camel rides and crocodile and bird watching tours in nearby areas.I tried the body massage and it was really soothing after a bumpy safari ride.
Overall the place is decent, with good staff and an excellent manager,Hospitality was better than any of the 5 star hotels in the vicinity, Vishnu Sigh doesn’t have a No in his dictionary, Everything was taken care of internet connection, safari ride bookings, trip to ranthambhore fort, body massage and the best part was He even managed a night safari in the outskirts of the park where we were lucky to spot a leopard (one animal I was waiting to sight for almost 2 years). With 7 tigers and 1 leopard it surely was a great trip with great food and great stay.
My Final Words….Great Forest, Great Tiger Sightings, Great Hotel, Well Managed, You Won’t Be Disappointed.

Had a great stay with family. My son Rohan who has passion for birds, but this time was more interested to go for Tiger sighting.
The safaris arranged by Mr Sataynder were wonderful & we had a memorable sighting of Tigers.

This hotel is nothing fancy but it is quite comfortable and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. It has great value. The rooftop restaurant is very pleasant, and the food is really fantastic. Beats the food at half the 5-star hotels I've stayed at, if you ask me.

Overall was very happy with my stay and I'm sure you will be too.

Also, if you're interested in booking safaris at Ranthambore, ask the hotel for Balvir (he is not a hotel employee) - he will be able to help you out. I highly recommend him.

We are 2 women( my Mom and I) travelling on our own in India. We arrived by train and asked the local taxi driver to take us to a reasonably priced hotel. He brought us to Hotel Green View and we were greeted by a friendly smile. The rooms are very clean, en suite bathroom was nice and clean, TV, fan a/c - and the beds were very comfortable. Location is great too- right on the road leading to the National Park. The dining area at the top has a wonderful view and our food was some of the best we have had on our travels! For the budget traveler, this hotel is perfect. This was a welcome and pleasant surprise. It is so safe to walk around on the streets and the people of this town are super friendly. We shared many cups of Chai on our walk down the road and were even invited into a wedding festival as we walked past. Our canter picked us up in the early morning for a safari and we were extremely lucky to have a brilliant sighting of a Tiger! The wildlife was fantastic and our guides were great. The hand crafts made locally by women are beautiful and so reasonably priced- we leave here with full bags and a big smile. The owner of the hotel was super helpful and even put us in contact with people in Jaipur and Agra which helped a lot. If I were to come back to India- I would definitely stay here again.

We achieved the impossible in getting here from the railway station - we walked in around 20 minutes, which according to the three or so auto drivers at the station would be "impossible'. Of course you can also take up Green View's offer of a collection in a jeep for 200 INR.

We'd arrived with nothing booking and an increasing sense of panic as to whether we'd actually get to see any wildlife at Ranthambore. We checked into a huge airy room (one of the front ones on the second floor) with air con, a fan, a TV and a great bathroom, with hot water heater that's controlled in the room.

After a swift lunch upstairs at the amazing view rooftop restaurant and a chat with VIshnu, who runs the Green View we were all sorted. We took a trip to the Fort with him (he is a National Park guide as well as running this hotel) and a driver for 1500 INR, setting off at 4pm and returning to the hotel just before 7pm. (It was superb, he's a great guide and we have a fantastic time exploring the fort with local knowledge).

He also arranged for us to take two safari's the following day - in the morning in a canter for 1150 per person and in the afternoon in a gypsy for 1450 per person.

We ate at Green View for the entirety of our stay - Westernized food was ok, but the Indian food was SUPERB - the Potato and Green onion local dish was just incredible. Cold beer is also available for 150INR. Pots of Coffee and Chai are seemingly bottomless and the entire staff whether they speak English or not were incredibly friendly and we had a marvelous both peaceful and exciting (two Tigers spotted) stay here.

This is truly my best experience ever. Best location on Ranthambore Road and hospitality takes it all. The credit goes to the Mr. Vishnu, who helped me a lot during my stay. A perfect host, best guide and a very good friend now. Affordable price, freshly cooked food and nice green view from my room. I could'nt ask for more. The jungle tour with guide/driver Mr. Bahadur who shared many stories and jungle expericences. No classy stuff, but still a really nice place to stay. Worth a try.
It is the perceptive and friendly service that makes it worthwhile staying in this property. I am going again for sure.Thank you Vishnu.

After our stay at the Hotel Green View we agreed we'd definitely stay there again if we come back to Ranthambhore for more tiger spotting missions. Rooms and location are probably on par with the competition, but the two things that stand out at the Hotel Green View are the fantastic food (prepared fresh once ordered) and the phenomenal service provided by the owner, Mr. Vishnu. He offered excellent and honest advice on booking safaris and shopping (and saved us quite a bit of money), constantly inquired how we were doing, and most valuable of all, was a wealth of information on all things tiger. The rest of the staff were lovely and well-meaning too (despite the language barrier). They even went out to restock their beer supply after we, a group of Canadians, depleted the existing supply. Thank you, Hotel Green View Ranthambhore!

It is my pleasure and good opportunity to write about Hotel Green View,Ranthambhore Road at Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan where I stayed with the family from 17th to 20th March'17 as a tourist.
The Hotel accommodation was neat and clean, decent staff with required amenities like-AC, Geyser, TV, Clean furnished room and in a good location. The tariff was most reasonable and affordable. The owner Shri.Satyendra Singh-a cultured, amiable personality, cooperative, helpful having other hotel properties but down to earth himself visit every day at Green View Hotel and takes care of guests there. He is also contactable on mobile.
We admire about this homely atmosphere and recommend other visitors to stay there.
Best wishes.

"Try to get a room with windows. There are 1-2 rooms which dont have windows. It wasnt a problem for me, as i am more interested in safaries. Otherwise are the rooms good. If you are a grp of friends or a family, opt for family room. Its quite nice and comfy."
