I stayed at the Nahargarh Hotel for two nights as part of a visit to Ranthambhore National Park with an OAT tour. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds very pleasant, and my room was spacious. The restaurant also was excellent. In summary, this is a hotel where you definitely want to stay if you are visiting Ranthambhore NP. It is a unique lodging experience.
The first glimpse of the Nahargarh excites. A beautiful large low white building set in the bush, with incredible architecture. As one approaches it becomes apparent that the building is three stories high and beautifully maintained. A warm welcome at check-in and a walk round a colonnaded courtyard with a central fountain led to a very spacious room, with a sitting area, sleeping area, dressing area and bathroom. All in spotless condition. The beauty of the courtyard was really enhanced after dark with subtle lighting and a three-quarter moon. The restaurant food was fine but the outside evening buffet was not up to the expected standard with the food being generally cold, even for the first few servings. The surroundings almost made up for this - but not quite.
Stayed for 2 nights and wow waht a place. Just drivng towards it gets the heart pounding, a massive elegant palace, wonderful entrance and surroundings. Rooms were spacious and there were plenty of spots to sit on balconies around the upper floors (Get a room on either the 2nd or 3rd floors only). The food was good and the outdoor evening meal was superb. The staff (with the exception of the reception, who always seemed to be on the make) were great and very helpful. The bonus is there are no tv's so it is really like being away from it all. This is a well kept secret but you should try to visit.
the last destination of our trip.....well i had high expectations from the hotels of rajasthan by now.....our earlier two hotels were the main reason for this......and man i was not to be disappointed .....we reached the place after sunset and really were awestruck when we first got a glipmse of the place from the road.......the hotel is beautifully built and majestically located in the middle of the jungle......inside the hotel was even more beautiful....especially the size of the room was massive......it was almost like a suite.....the interiors are very elegantly appointed.....the service was nice and friendly......our stay here too was absoulutely wonderful..........rajasthan im coming back....and this time with my friends......wow.
The hotel looks very old but was actually built in 2004. It looks massive from the road and our deluxe room was very large. The only drawbacks: there were crickets in our bathroom and the dining hall only served veg food in the buffet. It's a short drive to the entrance of the park which makes the location very good.
