I am not used to do bad reviews but I need to be honest about this hotel. We planned to visit Ranthambore national park and we find this hotel that were proposing a good price for a combo of one night at the hotel and the excursion on the early morning for 5800 roupies. We arrived late in the evening and it has nothing to do with the hotel. But we were hungry when we arrived and we asked by message at the hotel if it was possible to eat there. They replied to us that it would be better if we ate in the town. We didn't find the move so friendly and it wasn't the best option for us as the hotel is really far from the town and the train station and as we had to go to search for a place to eat and lost one hour in the process. We arrived at 11pm at the hotel. We could arrived one hour before if they made us a dinner, and as we were about to wake up early the day after for the safari, we would have liked to sleep one more hour. When we arrived, the people there weren't friendly at all and we had the feeling that we were bothering them. It was a little bit strange cause as it is COVID time and as they don't have a lot of tourists right now I would have expected them to be happy to see us. They gave us a room and we had a big doubt about the fact that the sheets were cleaned before we arrived or not. The dustbin wasn't empty either so we asked ourselves if they cleaned the room or not before they gave it to us. I am sure they did but I don't think they did it so well. The excursion was good the next morning, we didn't have the chance to see some tigers but it wasn't the hotel's fault as it is nature and that it requires some luck that we didn't have this time. Moreover the hotel is just an intermediate between you and the guides of the national park, so every hotel is going to furnish you the same tour. So we came back and wanted to have a breakfast at the hotel and they charged us 150 for a plate of poha for which we usually pay 50 since the beginning of our trip in India. We wanted to take a nap after the breakfast and as there was nobody in the hotel except from us we asked if we could stay a little bit longer in the bedroom after the check out time and they replied to us that we would have to pay an extra if we wanted to do so. It is their right of course but as there was nobody I don't think it would have changed anything for them if we had an extra hour of sleep. And for the final move, the one that pissed us of for good, we asked how much it would cost to take a tuk tuk to go back to the train station and they tried to charge us the double of the amount they told us the day before, trying to get a few roupies more on the back of white people. We know that it is how it works in India but it was too much for one single night and we just left the hotel without a tuk tuk and found out that a public bus was doing the trip to the city for only a few roupies. It was a cheap option, but if I have to do it again I would pay a few roupies more to stay in a place were people would be more friendly !…
Firstly when we were making the plan for this trip, it was really great to hear from hotel owner to provide us best deal and guidance which made us comfortable & relax before starting our trip. Secondly its highly respectful for a customer when hotel owner along with his family welcomed you at the enterence even though we have reached there late night. It was so warm and family atmosphere. Room was very clean, hygeine with Good fregrenenc. This is our first experience to have family atmosphere along with food prepared by family only. Food was sooooooooo delicious which includes poha, palak Paratha, mixed pakora, chaach, alloo Puri, gatte ki sabji and many more. Every member of family is so cheerful and polite to give bestest service to their customers. Staff guy Deepak is also very cheerful and prompt to support the family. It was a perfect stay for us. Owner arranged safari & auto also to visit city at reasonable cost. Location was really perfect to stay in village instead of staying in city. Gulshan Sharma (Owner) along with his beautiful family take full responsibility to make their customers happy and comfortable to make their stay memorable. I will highly recommend everyone to stay in this hotel to have family atmosphere with world class facilities.…
A nice guest house run by a family who live on the top floor.Very clean and attractively painted. The Younger son speaks good English and is friendly.Food is very good and room service possible.Room was clean and nice but ver6 cold but that’s not their fault as it was a January.Very convenient for the Tiger Reserve which is just down the road. Also town and shops nearby. The guest house is in a village but that is no problem.Would go there again
Gulshan the hotel manager is passionate about his guests seeing tigers and offered us several options. We ended up doing three safaris, two by canter and one in a jeep and were lucky to see a tiger on two occasions. He seemed to be well connected to the tiger safari system and had intelligence on the latest tiger sightings and which zones would optimise our chances. The Village Heart is well located for doing a safari and we enjoyed meeting his family who live on the top floor. The rooms were small and there isn't much of a communal space but the food was excellent and good value for money. I would recommend the Village Heart for a small hotel family experience.
We stayed for one night to do a tiger safari in Ranthambore. I really liked the village and the building the hotel is in was really nice. We had a good meal for a reasonable price. The issues we had were: 1) we booked a tiger safari in a Jeep (as opposed to a canter) through the hotel three days prior to arriving and were told it was confirmed. They said they couldn’t 100% guarantee zones 1-6 (which we understood were the better zones for the safari) which was fine. When we got to the hotel we paid for the room and the safari (Rs 8000 total). Then just as we were going to bed, the hotel manager came and told us he couldn’t get us on a Jeep. We had a robust discussion with him and he said he would try. In the end he did manage to get us our seats on the Jeep safari but he complained about the process a lot and told us “it was expensive for him” to do so. This was annoying, especially as I have read that the tickets for a safari are normally about Rs 1800, and we were charged Rs 3000 by the hotel (ie he was already making a significant commission). Anyway, he sorted it, but maybe wouldn’t have if we hadn’t applied quite a lot of pressure. 2) not very clean (bathroom and food serving utensils). 3) very noisy, unexpectedly for such a small town. Might have been a one off but there were tractors driving past all night. I would recommend to stay here but book your own safari tickets. My wife would not recommend to anyone. …
Lovely hotel and very close to the Tiger Safari The owner Gulshan family and staff are very accommodating and made me feel very welcome Nothing was any trouble The food is very delicious and very reasonably priced The Village is remote but so nice Met some lovely children and their families Definitely recommend to stay here
Village heart was one of the nice hotel in all India trip. Hotel was so nice and directly in local village. After delhi, it was quiet which makes you relax and help to escape from chaos. Gulshan was wonderful person who is the owner. He is so helpful. In the middle of the night he helped us to book our tiger safari. You can directly call him or send a message and you can book your safari. Best thing about hotel can be this section. The prices are also for affordable, they do not charge a lot of money, so no worry and you can book your safari with trust.
Very pleasantly surprised by this small hotel. The staff were so helpful and really did everything they could to help! I would recommend booking the tiger safari through them as they can get a discount!
I had a fantastic 2-night stay at The Village Heart for a day of safaris in Ranthambore. The hotel is extremely close to the park gate which was really nice for efficient trips in and out of the park. The room was clean, the food was great, but the best thing of all was the staff. The manager, Gulshan, did everything he could to make my stay memorable. He enthusiastically helped me with everything I needed, and even dropped me at places around the area free of charge. Best of all he booked me on some INCREDIBLE safaris. 4 tigers and a leopard in just one day! He seemed to know exactly which zones would be best. If you're looking for a pleasant and convenient budget hotel in Ranthambore with great service, look no further. Stay at The Village Heart.
Hotel is located in a small village with friendly people. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, e.g. organizing tiger safari. We had dinner in the hotel with local food, sitting together with other guests. Quite nice. Rooms were tidy and bathroom was clean. However, warm water boiler didn’t work. Anyway, a nice small hotel we'd recommend.
