We had booked The wild retreat resort in Kumbhalgarh to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We booked Super Valley View Superior Cottage with Private Plunge Pool for 2 nights with dinner in our package.
Resort manager Mr Shambhu singh was very kind and helped us complete the whole booking very quickly.
Resort is located at superb location on the mountain. We were warmly welcomed by reception staff Mr Ajay Singh and after check in formalities we’re done he took us to our Cottage which we had booked.
We stayed in cottage number 4 and cottage was pretty neat and clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was huge with decent amenities. Electric geyser was provided in bathroom for hot water. Main attraction about the cottage is the pool and view from cottage. You get outstanding views of Aravalli range from your private pool area. During our stay we spent our most of the time on outside area only.
Very next day was our wedding anniversary and resort manager Mr Shambhu singh along with Mr Ajay singh & F&B manager Mr Pavan had planned outstanding surprises for us for that entire day.
We were surprised by delicious cake on our lunch time, we went for high tea at 530pm and when we were back housekeeping staff had decorated all our room pretty well and beautifully and for dinner time Mr Pavan had specially arranged candle light dinner for us in an open area outside restaurant.
Food at property was pretty good. Breakfast spread and dinner buffet spread was delicious.
Hospitality at resort was top notch by every staff. Resort staff took our care at each and every point. I would definitely love to come back here one more time to enjoy the hospitality of the staff with majestic views.

We had a wonderful time at TWR. It is superbly located and beautifully maintained. The gardens are especially lovely...there were new plants to discover everyday and Himatsingh, the Gardner took great pride in showing us around. The rooms had a superb view of the Kumbalgarh Forest reserve and sunsets from our balcony were the highlight of our stay! The beautifully appointed rooms were superbly serviced by zalimsingh and team who were very accommodating of our high standards of cleanliness demanded by our foreign colleagues. The food was great and not a single dish was repeated for the entire 4 days of or stay! And all our alacart requests were promptly accommodated. The serving staff at the restaurant with 360 degree view was wonderful...and a special shoutout to Lokesh ji whose smiling and can do attitude made our meals extra special! Even the security guards were so alert about our whereabouts and guided us well with directions to all the scenic spots. Everything managed like clockwork by the Manager Shri Rudrasingh ji. Over all a five star and extremely memorable experience for our family!

One of the best hotels I have ever visited in Rajasthan. Food is great, staff is warm, hotel in itself is situated at a beautiful location and is made in such a way that a person does not wants to leave hotel premises.
My family has started requesting me to take them back to this hotel. And its hardly been a month.

i have travelled a lot in India but I have yet to see such a beautiful place, around 2 kms away from Kumbhalgarh, the best place one can ever imagine. Room in quite specious, bathroom is almost a size of room, best toiletries, tea maker. Large size swimming pool is added advantage. Daily evening, the staff pours alum and next morning, ituses electric broom to clean the bottom. Circular Dining room is very large and food preparation is mouthwatering with large number of varieties spread over at the center. one gets greeted by peacock and parrots adjacent to room . Play area is with badminton, table tennis, carrom and chess board. Clear night sky is worth an experience. Fire in the night keeps one warm. If there is plan to visit Kumbhalgarh, one must stay here to get an experience of life.

First of all Location is fantastic, between the full of nature. They have 2 types of cottages - Hill view & valley view. We are group of 40 people and I have experienced both type of cottages. They have made all cottages in such a smart way that you can get an excellent view from any cottage's windows and balcony. Property is very neat and clean.
Our check in process is very quick and smooth. The cottages were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. The service was exceptional as well.
Every staff member I encountered, from the parking to the check- in to the cleaning staff were delightful and eager to help!
Front desk staff especially Mr. Ajay is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful. The owner cum manager Mr. Shambhuji is truely helpful and he never says no for anything.
I can't forget to share regarding Master Chef Mr. Navin. Every dish made by him was very tasty & mouth watering. In our group 80% members are taking jain food and He is always ready to made anything as per our choice. I would like to share 1 incident that coincidently my mom's birthday was on check out day, and I told to Mr. Navin ragarding my mom's birthday at 9 o'clock and within just 30 minutes he made a mouth watering cake for us and we can made my mom's birthday memorable. So Thank you very much for this quick and excellent service.
Overall, I had a great experience with Hotel The Wild Retreat..

The Wild Retreat is a Perfect Place for chill weekends away from the city life. They have Amazing Property and great views. Every Room has balcony with a great view and is loaded with Great Amenities Staff is the best part of this resort they are always ready to serve with smile on there face. The restaurant is also very good and hygienic. The food there is surprisingly very good compare to other resort's buffet quality.
*The road to reach Kumbhalgarh is under construction at some points so might take some extra time to reach than expected.

Beautiful resort surrounded with mesmerizing scenic beauty. Great staff who know how to serve the customers. Special thanks to Mr. Shambhu Singh Ji , Manager ,We were overwhelmed by the way he took care of our stay , very courteous and generous man , the room was well equipped and the service was excellent. From the balcony, we could view the mountain and feel the cool breeze. The location of our room was absolutely perfect. A very good place to relax and chill. The veiw from room was amazingly beautiful and it was a pleasure to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. The view of the sunset from that back balcony was mesmerizing. I must say the location of the resort is at best place of Kumbhalgarh , and at last food was delicious which made our trip the memorable one.

We had a really good time at wild retreat . I came with my family and everyone enjoyed their stay . We had booked 2 valley view cottages . The staff was very courteous and friendly . Property was well maintained and I loved the location , surrounded by mountains , lots of birds . Food was delicious with a varied menu . We had included breakfast and dinner buffet with our package and I am glad we did . There was entertainment facilities as well which included carom, table tennis , chess and swimming pool . They had also arranged folk dance on one of the evenings .The resort is very close to the fort which was convenient . Shambhu ji arranged everything for us and it was a very smooth process of booking .
My only suggestion would be to add a ramp to walk around for old people ,as there are lot of stairs . I have already brought this up at the property and they are actually working on it .
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Kumbalgarh . It is worth the money spent .

From the front and rear balcony, we could view the range of mountains and could feel the cool breeze, a very good place to relax and chill and it was a pleasure to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment.
