The manager of Govind is an exceptionally fine fellow. I don't normally leave reviews on Tripadvisor but my experience there was all I could hope for. First of all its a very short walk from the train station, so it has a great location. I arrived with only 1000 RP in my pocket and asked the friendly older gentleman running the place if he knew of a good money exchange that would give me a fair rate on my Thai baht. He informed me he would call his exchange connection who would come shortly and assured me he makes no commission. As I had a bad experience exchanging money in India he oversaw the entire transaction. We stayed 4 nights at the Govind Hotel. Very convenient for the train and not far to walk to the main road up to Sadar market. Nice view of the fort from the rooftop restaurant, but partially blocked nowadays by a big advertising billboard. Jaggi and his son are excellent hosts, very helpful and informative. They go out of their way to make your stay a good one. The food in the restaurant was also good and it was a lovely space to relax in. Hot water and WiFi were a little intermittent, but all in all it was comfortable and suitable for a few days.

we arrived in jodhpur by around 5 am and it was really close to railway station just 3 4 mins.the owner mr .jaggi sir was very very helpful and funny person .it has rooftop restaurant food was really good .very reasonable price and we had to checkout next day early morning by around 5.00am we were 10 girls n it was very safe .highly recommend place.

very close from Jodhpur Station, only 3 minutes to walking distance. the rooms so homey, clean and decorates with murals, I was happy with the price :) Jaggi as a owners very nice, helpful, and fun to talk. they have a rooftop restaurant and it was great also well prepared, safe for tourist. i recommended

We arrived in Jodhpur by bus and were looking for somewhere to store our luggage as we were taking an overnight stay. After an unsuccessful attempt at the train station cloakroom, the lovely staff at the Govind Hotel allowed us to store our bags and even offered us an area to rest in. We ate lunch and dinner on the rooftop and found the food to be nice and very reasonably priced. Being able to leave our luggage really helped us to enjoy our visit to Jodhpur even though we weren't staying in the hotel. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the train station. Thanks very much to all at Govind who made us feel very welcome.

Dear David, thanks for the review. Yes we use our restaurant as a transit place where you can store your luggage, have the best food in town and just walk to the railway station which is a 5 minutes walk. We have guests coming in the mornings at 5/6 am, we happily help them to keep the luggage.

At the most convenient location from Jodhpur's train station and still within walking distance of the markets and sites of Jodhpur, the Govind Hotel is hard to beat. The rooms are quaint, clean, cool and decorated with murals. And their delicious Indian and multicultural cuisine can be enjoyed on the most colorfully decorated rooftop overlooking the Mehrangarh. Best of all is that here you will find the most accommodating service. Whatever you ask for or about will be made their mission until you are satisfied. I had to check out before 5am and this was no problem. Thank you Govind Hotel.

The service regarding a waiter is pretty average. So, it can be a not good impact on the customer from the hotel The amount of one-night stand is average so it's a not big deal. The hotel gives complementary for luggage to the room.

This is a very fine budget accommodation. The staff is incredibly helpful. Just after arriving I got sick, (because of something I ate in Udaipur, not here) and by midnight I hadn't eaten anything so I called the number I found at booking.com. I talked to the owner, who promptly managed to arrange me water and cola, as requested. In the morning I had the staff asking me if I needed something, and providing anything I would need. It was the best place to become ill in Rajasthan. The place has the best location, being five minutes walking distance from the railway station. Also the rooftop restaurant is perfect for breakfast or for dinner. I got the best coffee and some nice thali. It doesn't suit lunch time as it gets too warm.

This was our fourth stay at Govind Hotel.I have already given my 3 earlier review in detail regarding this hotel.We always stay in this hotel as it is best hotel near jodhpur railway station. We have booked standard room online from makemytrip .I spoke to hotel owner Mr.Jaggi sir and he has allowed us for 3 hour early checkin at 7 am morning.But our train was cancelled and we reached hotel by evening by other train.The city was hot but room was cool.We have got neat & clean room with comfortable bed.Room services was very prompt.After check out ,Mr.Jaggi sir has allowed us to keep our luggage till evening at hotel free of cost.In evening he has given us special room for fresh up and complimentary tea to both of us which was not included in our room tariff.
