We stayed at this wonderful hotel for a short 6 night stay whilst in Jodhpur visiting family and friends. The hotel is very central to all amenities and close to the airport. Staff were excellent and accommodating and always on hand when we needed them. The restaurant, quality of food was always good. Breakfast had a variety of items catering for western and Indian needs. Eggs and pancakes were available to order. Nothing was was too much for them. On our last day I wanted a family dinner to celebrate our visit. The hotel laid on a wonderful range of starters, main course and deserts which we pre-ordered. They went abive and beyond expectations and all guest enjoyed the dinner, the setting and arrangement provided by the hotel. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel. Can't understand why it only has 3 stars.…
Beautifully built using SandStone blocks reflecting the theme of other Jodhpur monuments, this place is a sanctuary away from the chaos and commotion of the old city. RIght from the minute you step in until you check out you will be transformed into a parallel world that seems to move slower than the rest of the city. A Palatial Paradise in a Noisy and Crowded City. LOCATION: CLose to the city center and all key points of interest. DINE + DRINK: We had Drinks next to a romantic and cozy Bonfire in an alfresco setting listening to seductive folk music rendered by a local musician live. Dinner was served in the indoor area, and was top quality. WE feasted on the finest regional cuisine both at Dinner as well as Breakfast! ROOM: We stayed in 112, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the pool and garden from the Sitout/Balcony; SIZE: Very spacious room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES: Spa quality cosmetics from BIOTIQUE brand FACILITIES: No Gym on site. But they do have a sweet little Swimming pool SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to HARISH at the front office for making the welcome experience very pleasant, as well as Harish at the restaurant for accommodating all our special requirements with regards to Food and Drink HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages COVID UPDATE: THe property has done an excellent job of ensuring safety , social distancing and hygiene to minimise the risk as much as possible. This is the second time I have stayed at the property and this time it exceeded my expectations and more! I have stayed in many hotels across India but find Ratan Vilas one of the most charming and friendly places to stay. My room overlooking the pool was really comfortable, clean and spacious with all of the facilities I needed. The communal courtyards and swimming pool area are maintained to a high standard and are the perfect places to relax after a busy day of sightseeing. I loved the food, especially at lunch time - really delicious home cooked style dishes. Thank you to the staff and owners Brijraj and Namrata for a wonderful stay - I am very much looking forward to returning again later in the year!
The property is indeed a Hidden Jewel right in the middle of Jodhpur. It is close to all major locations. The property is a nice little palace with 21 rooms- super spacious and spic and clean. The staff treat you like family and serve you with a big smile on their faces.. To think of it, the owners can do much much more to the property whilst retaining its charm and exclusivity and add to the 5 stars that it deserves
This property was one of the best and cleanest we have stayed in any place in India. The service, food, hospitality and cleanliness was outstanding. We came with kids and they had a blast in their super clean pool and enjoyed the sausages and pancakes for bfast. It is right next to the station and on the main loco shed road, however, the Way it has been built, it is noiseless and you seem to be away from all the hustle bustle of the city. The decor in the rooms have all been tastefully done and the bathrooms are neat and huge. A must visit place to relax and enjoy in jodhpur.
Nice boutique place near to all city attractions. Staff is very helpful and cordial. The room is spacious and sufficient. The bath tub experinece was unique. Breakfast was also elaborate and good. The property is not big but just the boutique one would look for. Recommended for couples.
A truly charming heritage property. I only had a very short stay, but my room was well appointed and comfortable, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was good and much appreciated. Thank you for a lovely stay!
This is a boutique hotel where the owners reside too. The rooms are well done and we stayed in a standard room overlooking the courtyard. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom huge with baths tub and shower. The place is a huge haveli with several rooms and a big garden
We visited Jodhpur in Feb 2022 and booked our stay at Hotel Ratan Villas. We were so pleased with the hospitality of the entire staff and specially with Jitender ji's kind attention towards our stay. He made sure we feel homely and at ease while we stay in Jodhpur. The rooms ,the food and the staff attention towards their customers is really impressive. We know now that if we are in Jodhpur we will always stay in Ratan Villas.
We had booked 2 pool facing rooms for 2 nights. The property looks very pretty with very well maintained common areas - pool, lawns. The rooms were exceptionally clean with big functional bathrooms. We were given clean bed linens and towels. The rooms has temp control system which made are nights warm and cozy. The hotel was following strict covid norms. The staff at the hotel were polite and informative. However the food needs some attention. The breakfast we got on both the days were not great. There was nothing for my son to eat except bread and boiled egg. But we loved their coffee during breakfast. We ordered dinner on both the nights and food was just ok. They set up bonfires every evening and it was nice to have soup sitting next to the fire. Overall we had a good time. Hope they work on their food part soon…
