Currently sat in the lobby very sad we can't extend our stay. We've loved staying here and couldn't recommend it highly enough. Nothing is too much trouble and the service is fantastic- Ganesh is brilliant. The whole building is stunning, as are the rooms which are spotless and incredibly comfortable! Some of the best nights sleep we've had in 8 months travelling and really nice to stay somewhere in India that is properly clean. We really enjoyed our dinner here one evening and found it reasonably priced. The rooftop is amazing, such beautiful views of the blue city and the fort. The location is perfect and tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We cannot recommend enough and will be back!! Such an experience to stay in this historical home, so well preserved and tastefully

I did not make a reservation for this place. I had seen a price online, and since it was low season, was hoping to knock a few more dollars off. But the wife of the homestay is quite clever. She showed me the room available (the same as online) but said it was 2000 rupees instead of 1300 as it said online. I showed her the booking.com page and said it looked to be the same room, but she said her husband had made a mistake on website and that it was a different, nicer room she was showing me. We settled on 1200 for the first night and 1000 for the second. Not much of a bargain, but one nonetheless. I had a king room with en-suite bathroom and it was beautiful, which is why I was willing to spend energy negotiating for it. The AC works well. Wifi is hit or miss. If you want hot

The hotel is potentially an hidden gem. The building it’s beautiful, room was clean although very small and position good, 15 minutes walking to the clock tower. The family owning the hotel however doesn’t do anything to make you fell welcomed, it’s actually the opposite. We didn’t feel comfortable sometimes. Also, the breakfast for the price you pay it’s ridiculous. Dining there is also more expensive than elsewhere in the city

WOW this is a fabulous place. From the minute u walk thro the door u will b taken by the attention to detail & beauty of the place. Set in the old part of town it is less touristy. But still only a 15 walk to the clock tower market along a street full of hustle & bustle & a further 2 mins to the ‘hotel’ area. And it is just around the corner from a wonderful sweet shop. It is a family home where the family live in the back of the house & the 5 rooms in the front are let out to paying guests. The rooms r spacious, clean and nicely decorated in harmony with houses architecture . There r blankets & heaters if the evenings get cold. Air con & fans if it gets too hot. The staff r always on hand & happy to please. It has a superb roof terrace with 360 degree views of the city &

The havelli really has been carefully adapted to preserve its original charm, and the family still clearly cherish it as their home. We enjoyed the roof-top restaurant for our breakfasts and evening meals, and wonderful views of the old city and its blue-washed walls. The old city becomes very lively between 10am and 9pm, and the noise from the streets takes some getting used to. The calls from the temples begin even earlier, and if there happens to be a wedding procession (there were 3 during our stay) then the music and fireworks will add to the soundscape. We enjoyed being immersed in the noise of the city (mostly) but some people might find it more of a challenge. Personally, the wonderful views of this colourfull town, surrounded by the fort, the palace and the mountains,

The room advertised is exactly as per photo, full of charisma and unique since this is a century-aged building. The 2 Nepalese staff was very attentive and concern about our stay and feelings as opposed to the host family which has no interaction at all. The homestay was located on a side road of the bazaar, which is very near to bazaar yet it is located in the tranquil neighborhood. It is not accessible by car due to the narrow lanes of the old town and only by tuk-tuk or walking. Do enjoy the sunrise at their rooftop early morning while enjoying the view overlooking at Mehrangarh Fort. The stay at the homestay and meal served at rooftop restaurant was value for money. If you do not mind to pay extra, do choose the king suite. It would be better if the host family has a

This little hotel/homestay has 5 rooms for guests. Ours was quite spacious and very well decorated in traditional Indian style: I particularly loved the wood doors closing with a bolt and padlock and the wood window shuts! Sooooo cute!! The owners are very friendly and so is the personnel. Cleaning standards were good, too. Food is served on the roof top terrace with a great view over the blue city. The food was nice, too. The location is very central, just 10 minutes' walk from the city centre (example the clock tower). The hotel is located in a side road of a bazaar, which makes it really quiet while still being very near bazaar. At first, when we arrived, we were totally unsure about staying so close to a bazaar: we feared it would be noisy and just not right for us .
