Daspan House is frequently celebrated for its inviting rooms featuring comfort, size, and quality amenities, and guests are equally charmed by the hotel's atmosphere, which includes a fabulous bar and a lovely garden. The cleanliness of the hotel, particularly the well-maintained gardens and tidy spaces, has earned consistent praise, with a nod to the establishment's sustainability efforts.
While the beautiful gardens and rooftop pool add to the list of admired amenities, some guests feel the pool service could be enhanced. However, the value proposition of Daspan House is occasionally questioned due to overpriced dining options and booking issues, and while service is generally regarded as attentive, there have been sporadic criticisms of unprofessional conduct.

This was a peaceful haven; a beautiful manicured garden with plenty of seating and a rooftop pool with 6 woven flat beds. We dined in the garden in the evening and ate a lovely meal. Non residents can also dine. There is a cute courtyard with a fountain or additional indoor dining. We found this too dark at breakfast and chose to eat outside. The breakfast offered eggs. We ate simply. Fruit and toast. Most breakfast dishes offered didn’t grab our attention. We missed plain yoghurt as an option, pastries, pancakes and a larger fruit portion and selection. Café lattes with a home made biscuit during the day was a nice touch as was the homemade ginger and smoothies. I enjoyed the champi head treatment on the balcony which was invigorating and good value. The rooms are delightful with comfortable pillows! Staff are attentive. There is a phone to call service from the pool. Half of the rooftop is disused and would benefit from canopies and soft seating options. The pool area would also benefit from adjustable lounger seating. You can glimpse the fort from the rooftop. The indoor foyer leading to the rooms is a delightful reading space with atmospheric soft music. Most residents tour predominantly during the day so the hotel is quiet until the evening groups return. It’s quiet, on a no through road. We would stay again. Laundry is individually priced. Coffee in the room is of good quality. They don’t use single use plastics and water is provided in glass bottles. The small hair dryer kept cutting out drying long hair. Small irritations.

Arrived here for a stay in mid-september.
The property is beautiful, with so many charming nooks and corners. The place is stunningly decorted with a very personal aesthetic.
Daspan House offered us the old world charm of a heritage stay along with a modern - boho feel, which was definitely unique.
The cheese omelet, the pumpkin seekh and the tandoori aaloo are were delicious.
Great Veg meals were a high point for sure.
The owners were very warm and helpful.
A stay here is highly recommended when visiting Jodhpur!

Elite, mesmerising decor, very comfortable beds, best shower massage, both Siddhartha and Varun have put in next generation thought to create this property. The meal tasting menu is a must to try for.
If not winters then the infinity pool is the best place to relax and unwind.
The bar as a global collection and is paired with best gastronomical menu curated to enjoy every event.
We stayed for a night and all we did was explerd the hotel. Its a world inside daspan. Must try on Jodhpur list.

Daspan house as a property is nice but comes with a lot of room for improvement. It is not just the attention to detail but larger areas of service that are apparent which requires careful execution and thought. Rooms are well appointed but not taken care of by the housekeeping staff. For example our family took 3 rooms for 3 nights and the housekeeping did not even mop the floors or sweep them throughout our stay. I had to categorically point this out to the hotel staff only post which it was cleaned up. Breakfast is a horror- food is terrible, sandwiches that are kept at the buffet counter are dry and almost inedible, staff is least interested in bringing hot food to your table and anything you order goes onto a list called “dont care” as they never come to your table. By the end of it I was absolutely fed up of even asking them for anything at all.
If you want to have a comfortable stay with good service then this might not be the place for you, but if you are willing to put up with whining and always complaining then go ahead

Dapsan house in an exquisite heritage property full of character, with a modern and playful interior. The staff were attentive and helpful, organising early check out and transport to the train station. Beds are very comfortable and the gardens are lovely and peaceful, set back from the noise of the main road.

I stayed at Daspan House wih my parents for 3 nights. Visiting them after a long lonkdown I wanted it to be a break for both of us and Daspan House did not disappoint!
The property is open and welcoming while the rooms had a warm local feel with modern fittings. The room was spacious with extra seating that overlooked the lush courtyard below and beyond. This is definitely NOT a box standard hotel - the subtle details in the art, the water features, common areas and vibe is very local.
The food was impeccable! I had a few full meals and some quick snacks; never disappointed.
The service was the cherry on top. Everyone was very attentive and accommodating. We booked a table in the courtyard a few times (which could be tedious to ship food back and forth) and enjoyed the outdoor dining experience.
If you're staying over a few nighs, I would recommend dining or hanging out in different common areas every time. If you're visiting Jodhpur, make sure you stay at Daspan House for the best experience - you won't regret it.

Normally, pictures oversell a property. The pictures are stunning, and then when you reach the place, it's somehow underwhelming.
Daspan House is an anomaly.
Because the pictures that you're going to find online don't do this place justice. Probably because it's the vibe of this place, and vibes don't have pictures.
From the minute you walk in through the giant doors, you feel like you're Alice in Wonderland. And it doesn't matter how long you spend here - you still won't be able to take in all the beautiful art, the curious corners, the furniture that dates back a hundred years.
Talk to the lovely people who manage this property, and you'll find that this was a house that was built in 1921. And then a few years back, before the pandemic, it was restored to build this beautiful space.
Each nook has a story to tell. It's warm, it's fuzzy, it's quiet and it's just the kind of place you'd want to come and unwind and chill for a bit. It's bang in the heart of Jodhpur, but there aren't any big men with gigantic moustaches at the door. There aren't any gaudy gold ornamental things going on. There's no pomp and show.
What you get is peace, tranquillity. What you get is a beautifully made Bloody Mary, as you sit in the courtyard, under the bright blue sky. What you get is a garden with a tall khajur tree spreading out and taking you in. What you get are stories from other people, if you're inclined to indulge in a conversation.
And when you leave, you leave with knowing the names of all the people who served you. You leave with a little art in your heart, a spring in your step and a smile hanging from your lips.
Because you know you're going to be back, very soon.

Cannot thank the whole of Daspan House team enough for making our stay one of the most memorable! Right from the start, they were very flexible with our bookings and room selections. We were welcomed so well and they made sure to make us comfortable first.
We initially planned our trip for 3 nights but extended it to 5 nights because we had the best time! The rooms were great and super clean! We’d always walk into freshly made beds and extra clean towels in the bathrooms. It’s these little things. Special thanks to Devi ji, Bhagwan ji & Bhanwar ji for outstanding housekeeping and checking up on us every time we got back to the rooms.
Breakfast and food in general is very good too! Freshly squeezed juice, amazing coffee selection (cold brew is amazing), balanced breakfast made us have the best start of the day before touring around the city! Special thanks to Pallavi, Karan and Govind for being so accommodating with our special requests and late breakfasts/nights.
Overall I think we had a great trip because our stay was so comfortable! We were so happy with everything that it didn’t feel like we stayed at a hotel. The ambience, design and vibe is chic and modern with a Rajasthani touch.
Special thanks to Varun and Siddharth for making it a great stay! Like I told you, My friends and I were head over heals with the property. You’re doing a great job!

Daspan House is one of the most beautiful and artistically decorated places in Jodhpur. A traditional heritage building having a modern hint. A dinner date will be perfect with sumptuous food, pleasant vibes and soothing music to cheer your senses. A must visit in Jodhpur.
Few points I thought to give as feedback to boost your popularity
1) You really need a big billboard/ glowsign or direction board right outside your lane, as it’s very difficult to imagine that such a pretty property can exist inside the very lane. Also at your property
2) Include your property in Zomato. Nowadays whenever tourists travel to a new city they always check zomato for a good place to dine in.
3) May be in the city as well you can have sign boards to direct to your property
Hope the feedback will be received positively.
Waiting for our next visit at you lovely place.
Thanx

I wanted to love this hotel. It was aesthetically pleasing, located on a lovely street in Jodhpur and seemed just what I needed for some much needed rest and relaxation. However, the hotel was so inconsistent that I ended up shifting places to somewhere I could find some peace.
Pros: for the most part the service was exceptional and the staff was lovely. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and has a restaurant within it. It’s located in a quite part of the city away from the hustle of the blue city. The bathroom is huge and there is a desk to work at. Very large room and bathroom.
Cons: cleanliness. The room had not been swept before I arrived and I was amazing to see an extraordinary amount of woman’s hair on the ground. I ended up cleaning it myself as I was tired and just needed a nap and alone time. Construction: they are in the process of making renovations to the hotel. There are few things worse than waking up at 9 am to drilling next door when you are trying to relax. Toilet: there is something wrong with their toilet system and at one point I had to leave my room for about an hour bc the toilet started smelling of waste so bad it completely permeated the room. It was a horrific experience. Food: the food was incredibly inconsistent. Some days it would be lovely and other days it seemed the cook had no clue what he was doing. Water: they would bring water from their well, which was usually good but at night they brought chilled water that tasted badly of chemicals and was undrinkable. Water is a huge concern in India and I felt uneasy after that drinking the well water, however it did NOT make me ill. Prices: overall, their prices were much higher than they should have been.
Bottom line: this place recently opened and you can tell. It’s a beautiful hotel with inconsistent service which ruins the vibe of staying in this place. I would not return until they fixed the problems they have with cleanliness, consistency, and stop doing renovation work.
