We completely lucked out when we found this beautiful place in a corner while just looking for a room. We were looking for a room with interiors made of the famous red stone and found it at quite a reasonable rate with all the necessary arrangements and the rooms being quite spacious with natural light. From the windows you get a straight view of Mehrangarh fort and the rooftop was neat and clean. The people were very friendly and helpful especially Vasu. We got a taste of the exquisite local homemade food with a smile. They give good attention to the visitors unlike other expensive hotels nearby and went of their way to provide us with meals on odd time and other services.

It can be daunting to find an ideal place but THIS IS THE ONE! It has everything going for it. Great hospitality from the owner Manu and his polite helpers, comfy bed and best shower in 3 weeks, great quiet location, roof top restaurant ( serves beer and great food ), amazing close up view of the fort and the prettiest stained glass windows in the rooms! It’s fairly new and super clean. It’s decorated with the best of taste with old doors and niches in the room. We added an extra day as we loved it. Thanks again Manu and staff 🥰

Manu has put a lot of heart and soul into creating Dev Kothi and his passion to provide his guests with only the best is very much evident. His kindness and thoughtfulness truly made our stay! We were even given a lovely Indian welcome to start off our stay.

Dev Kothi is tucked away amongst the blue houses of the old city. It is in an excellent location to walk to the Mehrangarh fort, the bazaars, the clock tower and around the blue houses of the old city. The roads to and from Dev Kothi are well lit at night. The facilities are excellent - the room was clean, had hot water and even a hair dryer! The service was exceptional, the 2 young gentlemen who work with Manu were very kind and helpful. Meals were cooked fresh and were very tasty. Manu even brought us sweets from home to share with us! The rooftop was certainly a place where I could have spent hours - it had the most incredible views of the entire city and the fort. I could not recommend Dev Kothi more highly!

Dev Kothi is in an excellent location, in a friendly neighbourhood with unreal views of the Mehrangarh fort from their rooftop restaurant, which has three levels. The food in the restaurant was really good, especially the chana masala which was delicious. They only use bottled mineral water to cook the food so it is safe for tourists. The Fort is a very short walk from the guesthouse, about 7 minutes.

The room was spacious and clean, and the bed, pillows and linen was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the shower was powerful and hot.

The owner Manu, and his staff, made us feel welcome from the beginning and assured us they were there if we needed anything. they provided a 5l bottle of water for free, and booked us an early tuktuk for our train when we left.

Would really recommend staying here when in Jodhpur!

This heritage style homestay is located within the Mehrangarh fort. From the rooftop dining place one gets breathtaking view of the ramparts of the fort as well as of Jodhpur city. The haveli style rooms are well furnished with all modern amenities. The bathroom is spacious and clean. Toorji ki Jhalra stepwell, Jaswant Thada and some other spots are within walking distance. The owner Mr Manoj was very hospitable and amiable and provided us guidance on our itinerary , got us hired vehicle for sightseeing at reasonable rate. Overall it was a memorable stay for me and my family. I wholeheartedly recommend Devkothi to anyone who desires to have an authentic heritage ambience staying experience in Jodhpur.

Manuji and his hosts run an excellent hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home and all of our transportation/logistical travel needs were taken care of. The rooms at Dev Kothi are very charming and beautifully appointed with comfortable beds, a mini fridge and other amenities. I appreciated that the curtains had Velcro closures on them in order to keep them shut during the heat and light of the afternoon. Overall, for the price and the location, Dev Kothi is an excellent place to stay in Jodhpur!

My experience with Dev Kothi was superb from the time I booked this hotel. Manu bhaiya (Original name is Manoj) is fully supportive and showed us room in advance before booking the property, starting from welcoming us in the hotel from day 1 till we have left the property Manu bhaiya has supported us throughout.
Always remember It is not a hotel, it is a home stay where you can live freely and get interesting information about the city. This property is at a very good location and very close to "Step well" (Walking distance).
Fort view is very much visible from the room as well as terrace. Terrace is the best place I must say where anyone can enjoy tea or coffee. Manu bhaiya is the gem and you can have endless talk with him of course if you are in a mood to talk. We talked till late around 1 AM about the city, about our lives and various things.

I was bit emotional when we were about to leave and proceeding for next destination. Overall, I must say anyone will not get any issues.

Property wise we get all the facilities, rooms are like Haveli only. Manu bhaiya has put his soul and maintained the property very well. We talked a lot what new things can be implemented since we both shared same interest area.
I also would like to talk about Mr Ravi (Kiku bhaiya) who is friend of Manu bhaiya and he was equally supportive. He showed us blue city and best part was he was enthusiastic to show good things about Jodhpur. Also, would like to mention there was no business involved. He showed things like we are his relatives and we also greeted him the same ways. We really loved the way we have been treated in Jodhpur by Manu bhaiya, Ravi bhaiya, Vashu, Manu bhaiya son (very sweet boy, adorable).
One thing I can say without any doubt that Dev kothi was the best place we stayed so far and Jodhpur city and Jodhpur people were very welcoming. Everyone almost helped us with their best effort. I can write more but ending this here. Just blindly select this property and relax. Only suggestion will be that don't expect parking and all since Jodhpur is a beautiful heritage city and streets are quite narrow. For us it is not a problem at all because we loved the heritage area the way it has been kept and maintained.

From the minute you step into Dev Kothi you are welcomed by the host. A wealth of knowledge and only to willing to make your stay memorable. The room is traditional and has great character, very clean, hit water for a shower after being out and about, everything near here or a rickshaw ride away. So comfortable bed and AC cold great for after a day of sight seeing. The roof top restaurant is great for banana chocolate pancakes. The view of the fort for dinner is as amazing as the food. It is the location that is the special key here! No chasing the elusive blue houses you are in the middle of the zone! There is a secret local walk up to the fort that is worth while - ask the owner he will share! In the old city you are close to the clock tower, city markets and visit the step well. After 3 fantastic days we would only stay here at Dev Kothi Boutique Hotel! Highly recommended! B & C from Australia!

Manu and his lads were courteous and very welcoming and attended promptly to our needs.
The room was comfortable and well appointed with an authentic heritage feel, while the location beneath the fort and in the Old City was accessible via typical narrow lanes. The food was delicious and made to order, and we ate at the rooftop restaurant with amazing views. We loved it !

You feel welcome by the owner himself in this small boutique Hotel with 7 to 9 rooms max. Nicely and elegant decorated rooms. Good view on the fort from the rooftop where you can take advantage of the different sunlight intensity on the fort.
Minor inconvenience but not linked to the hotel itself due to the quality of the sewage water during the low season (smell) that you can easily overcome by closing the bathroom door.
