The property is off tracked from the city, making it ideal for a peaceful holiday. But if you plan to make frequent travels to the city, not at all recommended. The hotel is decently clean, but funnily they charge a Sanitisation fee, but you won’t find anything being santized leave alone temperature check at check in! The breakfast menu is not extravagant for feast, but the food is delicious and adequate enough for a decent breakfast. Rest of the meals very good too, but service being slow due to limited staff and packed hotel. The rooms require a thorough maintenance check, their excuse being the hotel resumed service after the long Covid pause.

If an eco friendly place is what you are looking for, this is not the hotel to come to. I found the hotel on trip advisor and came here with high expectations.

While it’s a good property, there are a lot of things that we were just not happy with.

The top on my list is that there are absolutely no environment friendly measures being implemented here. On the contrary, a tonne of completely avoidable disposable plastic is being used.

Not only do the rooms have small plastic bottles for water, the restaurant has even smaller single use plastics in use. In 2022, this kind of indiscriminate use of single plastics is completely bizarre.

Food:

While the food is decent, it’s so disappointing that there is no rajasthani fare on offer.

Rooms:

Comfortable, but old.

Amenities:
There are no kids channels that the hotel has subscribed to. When requested that they subscribe for a couple of days, it was declined. If you’ve paid 8000 for a room and the hotel refuses to subscribe to a channel that costs Rs 1/ day, it’s just plain disappointing.

Property:

Overall the property is old and certainly in need of better maintenance

Wi-Fi
Hasn’t worked for us so far.

Overall:
Am definitely disappointed because the room rates don’t justify the stay. It’s a good property and if you don’t find a better place, you can definitely stay here.

If your heart sinks at the use of completely avoidable plastics and too much water being used in the flush, this place isn’t for you.

We had planned the vacation for 3nights udaipur and 2 nights Jodhpur. After our wonderful stay in Udaipur we came to Jodhpur.
We booked this property 25days prior through luxury escapes. As the photos showed it had a pool, spa and well lighted property but when we called them to enquire the same they told because of covid, pool and spa is not working. But when we enquired in other hotels about the same ,there were no such guidelines and then they told pool was closed because of maintenance and for spa they had no staff.
On reaching there,we found the property very boring and it was very dark as lights were not lit properly.
The food they offered was pathetic. They were charging 100 rs water bottle ,100 rs for soda and 150 for tonic water in the bar.
The staff was untrained with no one wearing mask especially during room service.
They had mentioned that they are giving king size bed but actually it was queen size bed. They claim that they are 5 star property, most of the channels were not subscribed and the ones which were subscribed they were not working properly.
There were frequent power failure.
We found the hotel so bad that we checked out one night prior.
Do not fall for pictures as they are false.
And also do not fall for any deals especially through luxury escapes.

Only exciting part of this hotel is open area with beautiful green area. The hotel infrastructure is just 3 star with no heating( room heaters were provided in room as thermostat was not working), old furniture, old steel utensils for room service and years old bathroom fittings. Also if you are claustrophobia then this hotel is big NO as they have closed all openings for fresh air. Even room lobby area is dark n dingy with unpleasant smell. They have removed all room carpets also due to this air issue as no fresh air flow because of non functional thermostat.
Dinning is also a pain area as staff is untrained to handle peak season. Morning breakfast was disaster as guests were fighting with staff as food was not getting replaced and slow service. Unclean cutlery used which again made all guests furious.

Big NO for this hotel and dont get fooled by name as this is no the original one.

One word "PATHETIC" extremely lethargic staff specially in the hotel restaurant " Jharoka". No one bothers to take your order. You just end up staring at the walls.
Apparently our breakfast was included, but the service appears like the restaurant is doing some charity distributing food. You keep asking for water and tea the staff just points you to a counter which is empty.
The front office does a decent job with welcoming guests and treating us well but the F&B is a disgust to the hotel. Might suggest you carry your own food if you are a person who is punctual and respect time!!

Hi ...
During Makarsankranti holidays we headed to Jodhpur for a short trip
We booked “The Ummed - Jodhpur” on Make my trip as they offer best rates.
Rates were so attractive so we can’t resist ourselves to book it.

First I would say points which are in favour as under
1. Budget wise the resort is quite good
2. Staff is friendly and always their to help you out, we met Ishwaq at reception who is so humble to help us, very honest guy who helped us to get our taxi to city area.
3. Breakfast is nice
4. Outside landscaping ambience is nice at night.

Now the points which against the resort
1. Resort is quite far away from city centre so it’s always a trouble when u wish to book a taxi/ auto from resort to city or city to resort,
Whenever I book it through Ola / Uber the driver wants me to call back and always ask for more money instead of showing on his app otherwise they always told me to cancel the trip. This was the major issue.
U won’t get cabs after 8pm we were lucky to get but we have to have to pay more.
Average cost for cab is 300 INR from resort to city centre.
2. Resort is quite old not as good as showing on MMT app they need some renovation inside.
3. Last day we won’t have proper hot water in shower.
4. We order a grill sandwich as in room service and it cost us around 340 INR and was not great.
5. If u are booking this resort than consider minimum of 1000 INR per night extra on the cost which u get on any website as a transport value.

The Ummed Jodhpur is lush green property with 88 Rooms. Rooms are very specious, hygienic and clean, the follow all covid-19 guidelines in this property. Decent and tasty food was served in Sir-P restaurant the name of the restaurant in honor of Lieutenant General Maharaja Sir Pratap Singh Ji the founder of modern Jodhpur City. All Photographs displayed in the restaurant belongs to WW-1 warriors.
This Hotel is very good for leisure or business travelers in the budget.
Thanks Ummed Team

The title "Horribly Pathetic" defines experience of us of this so called "The Ummed - Banad Road, Jodhpur".
Staff is Pathetic and Hotel is in Horribly Bad condition.
Almost 30+ families were there and coincidentally all have same issues, feedback and experience. Room were specious and good, toilet wasn't maintained, ost of the paus amd faucet were malfunctioning. WC was broken and in repaired condition.
The Worst part was staff no customer orientation and were arguing in each issue, seems there're getting so much of complaints and become used to fighting with customers.
The most pathetic part was "morning langar" so called breakfast... Very bad quality and selection of food was like langar i.e. Aloo Sabji with uncooked amd oil filled poories, fruit were smelling stale and live counter chef was busy in serving "Burnt Dosa" . 4-5 Sausages were served in every 10-15 mins and pot was always empty. Same scenario was there for most of the dishes as they weren't able to serve less then 50 customers. Cutleries and crockeries were not sufficient and thus they've started serving in cheap plastic disposable bowls and paper cups.
We took 45 mins to get an omlette and a dosa, uncooked oilfilled poories were left in each tables and probably they've put extra water in curries to meet quantities. We have called thet F&B manager and he started shouting amd arguing with many of customers there itself (some young Bangali chap).

All amd all it was a horrific experience.and we immediately checked out from that hell.

Stay away guys from this hotel, a lot of better choices are available within the city limits. Dont choose it pls.
