My stay in Pukhraj Garh was 13-15 March with my close family members. On arrival I was amazed seeing a grand area, Well mentain garden with big greenery and refreshing breeze. Rooms are spacious and clean, having all amenities and overall you feel cool and comfortable. All meals, I took breakfast and dinners during my stay, are mouthwatering and tasty providing you choices of local food, Indian and bit continental dishes. Staffs are courteous, good listener and supportive. I am very happy for choosing this hotel and would like to visit again.
This is an out of city and out of civilisation kind of place about 22 kms from the city with hardly any means of transport. It’s a walled Haveli type with multiple hut type of rooms to stay and is run by a family. The owner is enterprising and wants to make the place better. It’s good for foreigners to come and stay far away from the city chaos. There is a small common dining hall with just one table and about 10 chairs. The food is cooked on firewood and is just about ok. The fat rice found all over Rajasthan is not to everyone’s taste and is found in every restaurant including this Pukharaj Garh. They have a jeep safari where they take the guests to a nearby village to show pottery and block printing process and this safari costs 1500 per person which is pretty high. The beds have that sinking feel and one tends to wobble while sleeping. The bathrooms are done up nicely with good fittings. Solar water heater installed. One can go for a good 5-6 kms early morning walk outside this haveli and that can be a very refreshing activity to consider.…
The best ever experience!!! Had awesome family time . Thank you for the wonderful hospitality . Kudos to the chef who made perfect Rajasthani delicacies. Made our day !!! Thank you !!! The area is beautiful with very rustic look of village!!!
This family home stay is just amazing. We were made to feel so welcome. They have put a lot of hard work into building this beautiful place and have plans to further extend. We went for a village walk with Shambhuram then later I helped his beautiful wife prepare the meal for dinner. We all sat down together after and shared the meal. This was one of the best experiences we had in Rajasthan and I would highly recommend. I hope we can visit again one day.
A bit far away from Jodhpur city, is Pukhrajgarh....a serene and beautiful resort. The family members are jointly running this business. They are extremely warm people. We were greeted in their traditional Rajasthani manner. We even took the Jeep Safari ( extra cost) into the interiors of the village to see black bucks in their natural habitat. We were even taken to the Potter's and printer's house where small demonstrations were given. Food was home cooked on open fire. A typical rajasthani cuisine was served which was lip smacking! I strongly recommend Pukhrajgarh, Jodhpur
