Hotel paradise is located in the part of the palace of the Maharaja of Jaisalmer which was formerly used for the accommodation of the royal family guests. The building as it stands today is about 400 years old. The rooms, which are cool in summer and sheltered in winter, are centered around a shady garden courtyard with bougainville trees. The rooms situated next to the wall have a view from the desert Garisar Lake. Breakfast and drinks are served on the rooftop terrace. Hotel Paradise is just off the main square of Jaisalmer fort, on entering the fort through the 4th gate. Many facilities are provided like camel safaris, excursions by jeep to villages, historical monuments like forts, temples and other places of interest in the desert. It is also possible to book bus and train tickets. The owner, Captain Chandra, head manager and the rest of his staff will be happy to give you any assistance you may need and will do their utmost to make your stay at Hotel Paradise an enjoyable and memorable holiday.

Detailed Reviews
Hotel Paradise is a quaint little hotel within the Jaisalmer Fort. The rooms are cute and styled as regular living quarters of the fort inhabitants of lore with a touch of modern amenities like warm water, AC and Wi-Fi. The view from the roof top restaurant is great. Coming to the subject of restaurant, the food especially the Kaju Curry is mind blowing. The fare is all veg as is the norm for 80% of Fort Hotels but is delicious. Even the breakfast fare is yum.
Manish, who is one of the proprietors, is alert to every needs and the staff including Moti is eager to help and assist. A word of advise though - If you do decide to come, do not book via the Travel Apps like MMT and Booking.com. Direct contact with Manish will give you much better deals for rooms including packages for Sam sand Dunes and Desert Safaris.

One of best hotels in Jaisalmer. We stay here for 1 night only. Hotel is actually part of the fort. You can see entire Jaisalmer city from balcony. Dinner and breakfast are delicious. Manish & team are super cooperative to make sure a pleasant stay. I will definitely visit in my next trip.

Hotel accommodations were good and comfortable. Staff help make my stay enjoyable and memorable. Location was perfect in the Fort. Many shops and historic places inside the Fort to see. Rooftop has best sunset and sunrise views in the Fort area.

Great location in the Fort. The hotel staff would take you to the hotel from the railway station for free. Staff members are hospitable and friendly. Room price is reasonable with nicely working AC if you choose an AC room.

It was a thrilling experience to stay inside the historic "Sonar Kella". The rooms being a part of the fort have stone walls - but comfortably furnished with carpets, dhurries and artifacts and has a modern bathroom with running hot & cold water. The hotel is situated on the top of the fort and the view is fantastic. In fact the open-air dining area is great! The food was as per order and very good. The hotel also has internet facilities.

Stayed at this hotel from 12th to 14th Dec 2010 and really loved the location and service. The owner Mr. Sripat is such a courteous and helpful man that you actually feel more like a relative of his than a customer.
The location of the 2 rooms we stayed (me, my wife and my parents) offered excellent birds eye view of Jaisalmer town with desert area (with sporadic windmills throughout the 180 degree view) visible in the distant. Best place to be in Dec though I think it would be too hot in summers (though they have AC rooms too).
Now a bit negative side. Food was only average kind but being in such a terrific place wins hands down about this average food.

We were a family of four people and stayed at this place for 2 days. Part of the hotel is old and the rooms there are not so clean, like 'A', "B' etc. There are two heritage rooms, which are decent.
The food is decent.
The hotel is inside the fort, so taxis are not allowed inside the fort and you would need to go by auto. Autos are not allowed during peak hours between 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM. So during that time if you have to checkin or checkout, you would need to carry the luggage from the fort gate to the hotel which is about 500 m (ascend/descend).
Staff at the hotel is friendly.
The hotel is right inside the fort, so it is a different experience. Many of the tourist spots like the Raja/Rani ka Mahal, Jain temple, patwa ki haveli are all within walkable distance. Even the market area is right outside the hotel. It is a nice experience.
