This is one the best stay, the property is 300+ year old, its gave us royal feeling. The descendants of the erstwhile royal family still reside in one section of the property. The view from the top of the palace is a sweeping vista of old Jaisalmer & its royal Fort. The night view is even more striking as the fort gleams golden under lights. Live music with local artisans sets off the expansive tiled patio in front of the royal audience hall, where nightly, an expansive banquet is laid along with outdoor fireplaces to keep guests fed & warm. The rooms are superbly appointed befitting the palace's history & the bathrooms are modern. Mr. Bhojraj, is humble and makes sure we have a comfortable stay. Will definitely come back or recommend it to our friends and family.
Mandir palace treated us like their special guests and made us feel very comfortable. Thanks to them for making our stay much more memorable. 5 brownie points to Mandir Palace management. Thank you for hosting us with warmth and care.
The manager and staff went out of their way to ensure my stay was pleasant and that I had everything I needed. They arranged a car to my my next destination. The hotel and facilities were lovely, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. A perfect location minutes from the fort.
We were in a college reunion. We reached beyond 10 pm and yet we were received warmly . A hot, Buffet dinner was served for our group despite late hours. The rooms are clean and well maintained . The ambience is royal
Amazing heritage Palace with 11 temples inside ( due to this it’s name is Mandir Palace ). I was amaze to see the carving on sand stone and detailed work. This property is more than 300 years old and the way management kept it clean and maintained is really appreciated. Do meet Mr. Bhojraj at priority and he will take you for a round inside the place and explain each and everything about the palace. I stayed at Suite room and my stay was good, they have got clean pool and big parking area and this property is located in the middle of city and very well located. Sharing few pics here and uploading video on google will give you idea how beautiful it is.
The hotel is nicely maintained, good rooms, courteous staff. Located at a prime location, close to shops, auto stands but still peaceful. Ambience is nice. Pros 1) Great architecture, good rooms, well maintained, prompt service. 2) Great location, close to shops and other amenities but still peaceful. 3) Gives a palace like feel, great place to stay in Jaisalmer. One suggestion to improve 1) Please also have option to seat people inside for the dinner buffet. In the winter time, it can be difficult to seat outside. Saw some reviews mentioning that the food is expensive (for a la carte). I found that the prices are matching or very close to 5 star hotels in Jodhpur, while this is a 4 start hotel, but you need to factor in the fact that Jaisalmer is a remote city and there are cost of transportation also. Overall we had a great experience with this hotel…
Stayed tor a night with my family. The palace converted into the hotel is just amazing. Rooms were really nice, big and clean. Evening rooftop dinner was rocking along with the cultural evebt organized. It's in the center of the city, and the fort is also pretty close to the hotel. I would certainly like to visit again and would love to stay for a longer duration.
The palace is a 300+ year old historical gem, representative of the finest Rajasthani architecture in the very heart of old Jaisalmer. The descendents of the erstwhile royal family still reside in one section of the property, while the rest of the palace has been converted to a heritage hotel that caters to the discerning tourist. The palace includes an intimate museum of erstwhile royal accoutrements, the ancestral royal kitchen, jewelery, & perhaps most spectacularly, the immaculately preserved audience hall of the ex Maharwals of Jaisalmer. The view from the top of the palace is a sweeping vista of old Jaisalmer & it's royal Fort, which sits atop a hillt outcrop about a 15 minute leisurely walk from the palace. The night view is even more striking as the fort gleams golden under lights. The immaculately maintained hotel prides itself on catering to its guests, with highly attentive and genuinely hospitable local staff, including the long-serving knowledgeable general manager. Live music with local artisans sets off the expansive tiled patio in front of the royal audience hall, where nightly, an expansive banquet is laid along with outdoor fireplaces to keep guests fed & warm. The rooms are superbly appointed befitting the palace's history & the bathrooms are modern. Overall, this was a memorable & excellent place for our family of four (8yr old to 75 yr old) to stay & explore Jaisalmer. …
Real Heritage place, with a free access to the Museum inside (where the visitors pay and come to see). Great views of the Fort, staff is courteous and well mannered. The Food Buffet has limited options but the food overall is OK. Recommended for stay
My wife & me decided to enjoy our silver Jubilee at Jaisalmer & by chance booked HertiageWelcome Mandir Palace. It turned out to be a great experience though on expensive side as at best it’s a 4 star but with 5 star prices. Hospitality and service was too good. Special thanks to manager Bhojraj Singh & guys managing the restaurant - Jaswant & Shivraj who took great care of us. Spa was very ordinary and needs to have a reception area plus attached steam, sauna and hot showers. The masseurs were good though. Food was amazing and the variety on offer during breakfast and dinner buffet was good though desserts could have been better. The hotel can also improve on it local tours service. Overall we had a great experience and will recommend the hotel to any visitor. Look forward to a repeat visit sometime in future and hopefully things will get better.…
