The Garh Jaisal haveli is simply awesome and the vibe is great! We loved every minute of our stay and host is incredible. He sure knows how to create a perfect getaway for his guests. Traveling for business between Europe and India after pandemic, it’s hard to imagine how they managed and get back on track. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special place. It’s romantic, stylish and super cozy and we felt like we are the Maharaja from the minute we entered. Long story short.. it’s just perfect!

Garh Jaisal (not to be confused with Jaisal Garh) is a beautiful boutique styled heritage haveli within the fort. All the locals in Jaisalmer agree that G.J is easily the best property within the fort and with good reason. The rooms are tastefully done and all provide view of the fort walls. We stayed in the Scarlet Room and could see the fort walls easily. No room is same as the other and that's what makes the property unique. Little touches like, complementary water bottles, anti skid mats in the shower area, nicely packed toiletries kit, hairdryers in all rooms and iron on request tell you the amount of detail and thought that has gone in. The roof top has a view to die for and we spent an entire evening and night sitting there. The roof top has a magnificent view of the fort, city and the Raja Palace. But the one thing that made the biggest impact were the staff. Led by Aniket, the team at G.J are gems. Aniket is extremely humble and takes pride and ownership in working at the property. He was nice enough to give us a tour of the property even when we didn't ask. He was helpful and helped us with planning of our itinerary. The food at the roof top restaurant is very fresh and really good. They prepare everything on order and can even manage some things which may not be on the menu. We were planning on going out for dinner but made the great decision of staying in and eating at the restaurant. The Ker sangri and Bajra roti was really well prepared. I wish the property and everyone there best of luck.

We stayed for 4 days in this amazing hotel within the fort. It feels more like a home, less like a hotel. Its 2-3 mins walk from the main chowk inside the fort. The rooms are big and spacious and our room had a beautiful view of the city below from the window. The hotel has a roof top restaurant, with one of the best views possible in entire jaisalmer. However, really the most important thing that i admired about the place is the hospitality provided. The hotel has only 3-4 staffs for the 6-7 rooms they have. But each time they went out of their way to serve. During our 4 days, we never heard them say no to our demands. The main caretaker Anit is so charming and lovable. We spoke so much during our lunch and dinner time and he gave so much insight about Jaisalmer. The other staffs including the cook is also extremely polite and hospitable. Food is above average and is almost like a home food. Dont expect luxury service, but if you are in Jaisalmer, do visit this place for sheer hospitality and the charm. Absolutely recommended.
