#13 of 238 in Jaisalmer
Hotel Fifu is run by Om Prakash Kewaliya (known by his friends as Fifu) and his family, with the help of a team of dedicated staff. Established in 1999, the hotel is styled on an ornate, traditional Haveli with stunning views of Jaisalmer’s ancient fort. Tucked in a quiet corner, just outside of the city centre, Hotel Fifu offers a quiet kind of luxury. Fifu was born in Jaisalmer and has been working in the tourism industry for over 20 years. In 1996, Fifu started his camel safari business, which still continues today. In 1999, Hotel Fifu was built from Fifu’s own original design. Using traditional methods and the help of the local community, the building was constructed in 3 years, with additional rooms added until it’s completion in 2006. Fifu is a graduate in economics and accountancy. He speaks Hindi, fluent English, German, Spanish and French, and is married with two children.

We stayed here 2 nights in a double room. The rooms are comfortable, the service is excellent and there is a great view of the fort from the top terrace. The owner was was very kind and knowledgeable and directed us to good restaurants and places to see. We also did a night in their safari camp- again, the service was great and the whole family had fun. We highly enjoyed our stay here.

Excellent hotel doing justice to the tagline ' Hospitality with Honesty.' The owners, Omji and Anirudhji, very refined and dignified people. The rooms are very artistically and tastefully done, also taking care of minute details with regards comfort and convenience. The service and care held warmth and homely comfort . A must stay at this hotel is highly recommended.

We, the two families comprising 7 members from Karnataka, stayed for two nights at Hotel Fifu. Any tourist visiting a new place always has the anxiety about the quality of the lodge, cleanliness, service standards, food, comfort level, etc. In Fifu, we were quite happy almost in respect. Hotel management has always been responsive, with staff extending courteous service, morning breakfast clean & tasty, room ambience & linen quite appreciable and above all, hotel owner's personal involvement to ensure overall comfort to the guests. Hotel deserves, say 9.75 rating out of 10. Keep it up, Hotel Fifu.

Hotel Fifu (named after the Owner's nickname) was aboslutely brilliant. The host, staff, rooms - everything was amazing. The hotel has been designed as a Haveli. Although it's a bit inside from the main road, it didn't feel unsafe or had any problems finding transportation. Especially the Rooms were just brilliantly done. We booked the Deluxe Suit which is on the 2nd floor and has two rooms. The setup, the architecture, furniture, design - everything is just amazing. It gave us a great rajasthani experience and feel. And the panaromic view of the Fort from the Room is just superb. Grab a chai, sit and enjoy the quiet ambiance. Breakfast was made to order and was nice, hot and tasty. Kudos to the Host and everyone at Hotel Fifu.

Hotel Fifu is a ‘little gem’ hidden amongst the vast options available to a tourist in Jaisalmer . I can confidently say that it is perhaps one of the best options for a comfortable, memorable and budget friendly stay in Jaisalmer. We have stayed here multiple times over last 10 years and the experience has always been wonderful. The rooms are comfortable, the roof top cafe not only serves amazing food but has an excellent view of the fort .. your morning cup of coffee, the sunrise and the view - need I say more. Fifu kaka as he popularly called and his team have great suggestions about local sightseeing, food and shopping. He gave us great tips about seeing some of the less visited spots around Jaisalmer. His team also organized a desert safari for us at a location away from the crazy crowded desert safaris in Sam. Overall, the stay felt like being at a home away from home but only better with a warm hug of culture and beauty in the ‘Golden city.’

We booked 2 rooms from hotel website as they were giving options to pay at hotel. Due to corona that was the safest option for us.Though through different booking site we were getting at a lower price. Owner Fifu is a nice person. He is very humble & maintains a personal touch which we liked. The hotel is awesome. I would say it is worth its price. Beautiful paintings & decor are there & maintains a class. Great ambience Owner is very nice person Cleanliness is 5*

My husband and I were on workation here amidst a crazy schedule. What did we need - a superhost, clean rooms, good food with touch of culture, great views of Jaiselmer fort and pocket friendy price. Guess what we got all this and more. Great sunset, awesome pictures of Jaislemer’s culture in the room and hotel. Great Rajasthani food and an extremely polite and understanding host. Thank you FIFU ji for hosting us. We shall visit again!
