Hotel Fifu is run by Om Prakash Kewaliya (known by his friends as Fifu) and his family, with the help of a team of dedicated staff. Established in 1999, the hotel is styled on an ornate, traditional Haveli with stunning views of Jaisalmer’s ancient fort. Tucked in a quiet corner, just outside of the city centre, Hotel Fifu offers a quiet kind of luxury. Fifu was born in Jaisalmer and has been working in the tourism industry for over 20 years. In 1996, Fifu started his camel safari business, which still continues today. In 1999, Hotel Fifu was built from Fifu’s own original design. Using traditional methods and the help of the local community, the building was constructed in 3 years, with additional rooms added until it’s completion in 2006. Fifu is a graduate in economics and accountancy. He speaks Hindi, fluent English, German, Spanish and French, and is married with two children.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Fifu, not only because Fifu helped me plan our time in Jaisalmer the best possible way, but above all because all the staff was extremely helpful, and always smiling! Fifu put 2 rooms at our disposal after flying from Mumbai in the morning so we could freshen up before going on our desert experience (we spent the night under the stars, it was amazing). And when back from the desert the next morning, our rooms were ready so we could again freshen up before starting our visit of the city accompanied by Fifu's nephew - Antriksh Kewaliya - who is a great French-speaking tour guide. We were lucky enough that he was available for the day and not on a tour at that moment so he made us explore the old city, the palace, the jain temples, but also the Gadisar Lake in the evening. At Fifu Hotel, we loved the tastefully decorated rooms with jarokha, the spacious bathrooms, and above all the rooftop terrace with view on the Jaisalmer fortifications. We had several meals there and could not stop looking at the fort. Also, the property is built in the traditional Jaisalmer style over several floors, which I love.
Fifu did all he could to make our stay and experience the best possible way, and we truly appreciated that. He even gave us 3 rooms when we had booked 2 (we were 5 adults) for the same price as he had enough rooms available at the time.
I highly recommend trusting Fifu for planning your time in Jaisalmer the best possible way and staying at his beautiful hotel. Thanks again Fifu for everything!!!

I visited Jaisalmer and Hotel Fifu in December 2019. It was the best choice and since the beginning I felt comfortable because of professional communication from the team. I was picked up from the railway station early in the morning without any troubles and whenever I had some questions it was enough to pop up at reception and have a chat with the staff. Fifu who is the owner makes sure you feel like at home and he is gifted with amazing linguistics skills, speaking so many foreign languages!
Hotel itself is beautifuly decorated, you will enjoy the feel of Rajasthan culture and heritage in your room. I loved the fort view from the rooftop terrace during my breakfast and other meals, observing the sunsets and changing colors of the fort walls.
Hotel team will help you organize city tours, transportation as well as desert safaris which are simply exceptional! Depending on your budget and needs they will find a perfect match. In terms of location it is in a convenient distance from the fort, you can get there by a tuktuk or just by a walk in 10-15 minutes.
Hotel Fifu is a small, boutique hotel and thanks to this there is always a personal connection. Fifu and his team will always have time to chat with you over a cup of chai. I highly recommend it for everyone to enhance their India and Rajasthan experience.

The Hotel FIFU has chosen the motto "Hospitality with Honesty" and this motto is deeply true. From the very first moment you feel very welcome as a guest. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and unusually beautiful. Each room is individually designed and lovingly and tastefully decorated. We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Fifu in December 2019. The rooms are individually decorated. Breakfast and dinner served on the rooftop overlooking a fantastic view of the fort. The food was delicious. The location is good, close to the fort and can be accessed either by walking or Tuktuk. Fifu is very welcoming and knowledgeable. We were there during an unusually cold snap in December but were provided with a space heater, which kept the room cosy. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We, the two families comprising 7 members from Karnataka, stayed for two nights at Hotel Fifu. Any tourist visiting a new place always has the anxiety about the quality of the lodge, cleanliness, service standards, food, comfort level, etc. In Fifu, we were quite happy almost in respect. Hotel management has always been responsive, with staff extending courteous service, morning breakfast clean & tasty, room ambience & linen quite appreciable and above all, hotel owner's personal involvement to ensure overall comfort to the guests.
Hotel deserves, say 9.75 rating out of 10. Keep it up, Hotel Fifu.

Book this AMAZING HOTEL it's everything you ever wanted. From the time you walk in the door the welcome you get to the day you leave is outstanding. The owner and staff are very welcoming and attentive, theIR friendliness to help and cater for all your needs to first class. You wouldn't get this kind of service anywhere else. I'm not one for eating at our hotels but the food (breakfast lunch and dinner) is outstanding, fresh and very good portion sizes and knowing the kitchen uses filtered water shows they are willing to go the extra mile andclook after there guests. The staff cater to your food needs as well as they recommend dishes that you may like. Nothings to big for them to handle, if your needing anything the staff will fix it or be at your assistance fast The rooms are beautiful, huge beds, excellent water pressure in the shower, TV, heaters, air con and FRIDGE the rooms are well decored and gave very cute bay windows with a beautiful lookout to the fort and city. We were lucky enough to have stayed in 2 different rooms as we went on Fifu Camel Safari. Don't let the small walk into town put you off, it's an enjoyable short walk and the hotel is in the quiet part so you have no loud car horns or traffic noise keeping you awake. A Toktok is 100 rupee / NZD $1 it's so cheap. So walk up to the shops/Fort and get a toktok home

I wanted to be proposed to in an unique location not the average rooftops of Chicago or New York, so when I got proposed to here at Hotel Fifu it was impossible to say no! The rooftop lounge of Hotel Fifu overlooks the Jaisalmer Fort and was serene. We stayed at Hotel Fifu for a few nights then the rest of the time we stayed in tents on the desert in the middle of sand dunes, a Rajathani dancer and folk singing group entertained us at night next to a bonfire. During the day we went on camels and desert safari the entire thing organized by Fifu the owner of Hotel Fifu. The food was amazing simple yet flavorful. The service was incredible especially Fifu the owner who asked on multiple occasions how our stay was and what more he can do to make us feel more comfortable. I honestly didn't want to leave but work calls. I highly recommend Hotel fifu for everyone couples, families and friends.

Very nice room giving a taste of Jaisalmer style, people very warm and helpful. The roof top restaurant offers a incredible panoramic view on the fort and offers very good food. Do not hesitate to ask for a kitchen tour and see the chef know how. This winter was very cold but the staff provided us with heaters. Hotel is only 10 mn walk from the historical center of the city and the artificial lake in a quite area. We warmly recommend this hotel.

Hotel fifu is located a bit out of town , however its not a deserted place as other good hotels are also located in the same lane. 10 mins drive from railway station. However the location is very dusty. Rooms are bit small comapred to what they are charging,. If two adults and one child goes in the room it may feel a bit congested. Bathrooms very small, almost no space for changing clothes. Balcony almost non exixtent. Roof top restaurant has a breath taking view of the fort however since it’s a three side open one it gets really cold during breakfast and dinner time during winter season and having food in that temperature is very difficult. Food is good and tasty. Breakfast buffet is limited and repeatative. The hotel arranges camel and Jeep safari in the desert at an additional cost. For local sightseeing you can hire any auto from outside the hotel for a full for around Rs. 1000 in peak season time. Overall if you are looking for a good budget stay you can peak this hotel, however if you are looking for luxury options choose other properties right besides this hotel, and there are plenty of them.

We have several rooms available on the 19/20 Jan. 2015 with room tariff per night of Rs 2950 for a double room and Rs.2750 for a single room inclusive of luxury taxes and breakfast only. For an extra person it is Rs.1050 inclusive of a complimentary breakfast only.
All the rooms are double rooms with air-conditioning and attached bathroom. The rooms are furnished in a quiet taste, making use of the silk and cotton materials woven in Rajasthan. The walls are decorated with old embroidery and contemporary Jaisalmeri textiles.
