The Hotel Gulaal is a beautiful boutique haveli located in the heart of the Jaisalmer city. I went on a family vacation in the last week of February, 2022 and stayed in the Hotel. A beautiful, specious and comfortable stay we had. The things we specially liked were the stone art of the haveli, the view of the Sonar fort from the rooftop, beautiful and spacious rooms and the delicious food. Owners of the Hotel Sh Virendra Singh ji and Chandan Singh Ji personally look into the management of the hotel on daily basis and make sure that all guests are at ease and comfortable during the stay, which makes it class apart! The food is super delicious and believe me, having it in the morning and at night at the rooftop with a wonderful view of the fort gives a very different feeling. Service is very good. Staff is humble and courteous. Would like to stay in Gulaal again whenever I am visiting Jaisalmer in future. It's like, I will visit Jaisalmer again just to stay in Gulaal! Highly recommended!!! Keep it up, Gulaal!…
The property is new and has a boutique factor . We stayed in the Suite . The rooms are quite big and the view of the Fort from the rooms were very beutiful. The breakfast (complimantory) served in the morning though not buffet was very good in quality and quantity. The rooftop resturant is also wonderful The manager Mr Babu is very helpful. Only flipside I can think of is that the food prices are on the higher side ... and food is not served in the room ( like many properties in Rajasthan).... A big thumpsup to the team Gulaal....
One of those rare occasions when even ratings couldn't do justice to how impeccably beautiful and serene Gulaal is! One of the best properties in Jaisalmer without burning a hole in your pocket..shout out to Virendra ji for being a gracious host and Ajay Singh (our server) who took amazing care of us. Can't wait to come back again😀
Visited hotel Gulal and we had a pleasant experience! The staff is courteous and amicable to interact with. The hotel is not a typical commercial crowded place, It had traditional touch in the interiors. The rooms, pool and the view were perfect and had a luxurious traditional yet modern blend in them. The owner was quiet helpful and friendly. The food was great. The chef was considerate and cooperative enough to listen to our needs as we had a kid with us. Go for it.🤗
My husband and I stayed in Hotel Gulaal for 3 nights. We were fortunate to have the Fort-view suite. It is really nice, with a private closed balcony, leading on to open rooftop (not private) with view of the fort from directly in front. The bedroom and the sitting area are spacious with good quality furniture. The bathroom very large and well appointed. I found the management absolutely wonderful. We are an aged couple. We found the shower area to be slippery, when wet, and asked for a rubber mat. They immediately provided that. The hotel arranges for a desert safari. The sand dune sunset part was beautiful. But the entertainment was sadly lacking and the food was simply pathetic. When we mentioned that to the hotel management, they gave us a discount on the food. The restaurant is on the rooftop, but there is no lift facility. Food is vegetarian, but good. For breakfast, there is no buffet system, but they will try to serve your order. It takes time. So you will do well to place your order well in advance. Or, you can relax there and enjoy the fort, while your food is getting prepared. The only thing I did not like about this hotel is that, there is an open area just outside the boundary wall, which is very very dirty.…
THE GULAAL!A Beautiful Haweli. It would be unfair to call it a hotel.Home away from home.Big,spacious rooms & bathrooms, toilets with bidet.AC and heater in the room.Lawns, swimming pool. The owner Virendraji organised our holiday in Jaisalmer from arrival to departure.Sightseeings, visit to the sand dunes, etc.Breakfast and dinner was delicious. There can be no alternate choice for stay in Jaisalmer other than the Gulaal.
Our new year holiday we decided to spend in Rajasthan, while in Jaisalmer we chose to stay at the Gulaal, which is not less then a heritage boutique hotel looking at its architecture, decor and the way its made it was surreal and beautiful. Front desk staff was helpful, courteous specially Mr. Babu who were really giving best tips about the city in terms of where to eat and what to eat, what to buy locally, giving genuine reviews about eateries and put forth his suggestion too. Breakfast was also good but was fixed everyday as we do understand on shortage of the staff but it was delicious. Breakfast is served on the rooftop from where you can see the sight of Jaisalmer fort. Special thanks to hard working Mr. Vikram Singh & Mr. Ajay Singh. Our room was quite spacious and nicely decorated, loved the details. Bathroom was also quite big, clean and hygienic. Hotel location I found a little inside as if anyone wants to come alone in the night then it can be a problem. From the hotel Gadisagar lake is nearby so as other local sightseeing. Overall our stay was amazing, had a great family time and memories.…
I had booked 2 rooms and stayed for 3 nights. Virendra and his family have put in extra-ordinary effort to make this place into Haveli - Hotel ! The team is lead from the front by Virendra himself. The rooms are spacious and have all conveniences rightly placed. Cleanliness / hygiene is well maintained. Roof Top restaurant's view of the Jaisalmer Fort is second to none in entire Jaisalmer. Best choies and value for Money in Jaisalmer. Keep up the good work Virendra !
Stayed in this beautiful hotel for 2 nights with family and it was awesome, Check in was smooth, room was amazing and beautifully decorated. Their roof top restaurant was very good and u will have a very nice view of Jaisalmer fort from here. Food was good, important point to keep in mind that they dont have room service facility and food are made to order, so u have to place your breakfast or diner order in advance to get it served in restaurant. Owner Mr Virendre Singh ji a nice gentleman who is always willing to help.
My wife and I stayed at this boutique hotel for 3 nights. Extremely impressed by the hospitality. Where do I start ? We were looking at a hotel with a traditional vibe close to the Fort and found this hotel through trip advisor. As we entered the hotel in the morning, we were greeted by the warm receptionist Bablu and Virendra (owner) who helped us formulate our travel itinerary and went to great detail explaining about the must see sites in the city. The room and bathroom is very spacious with a traditional haveli like interior and a room heater which was necessary for the winters. All 3 meals are freshly prepared upon order which has to be given 30 min in advance and served at the rooftop overlooking the picturesque Jaisalmer Fort. We expected oily and ghee filled dishes and was quite apprehensive about the food in Rajasthan but were happily proven wrong by the food which was authentic and made in a homely fashion. We tried out most of the yummy Rajasthani dishes and the staff were extremely warm and hospitable and made us feel very welcoming. We had also arranged a desert safari package which included a couple of historical sites, camel rides and folk dance and dinner at a camp through the hotel and came back feeling truly experienced the desert lifestyle. In summary, Gulaal truly made our Jaisalmer visit memorable !…
