We have been there for 1 night 2 days (4,5 DEC,2021) . Food was excellent, service, cleanliness would rate 5*. Staff is helpful. I will definitely recommend this place. Camel ride dinner, BF, cultural program were included in the room rent. Jeep safari they charge Rs 1500/-. In thar desert camel ride was charged 300/- for 2 camels. Tourists were very less due to corona.

Our stay at Royal Desert Camp on New Years eve was very memorable. They don’t cut corners like some of the other low priced camping resorts in Jaisalmer. The crowd here was very good, partly due to the fact that this is a little expensive compared to the low cost camping options here. The food was exceptional and the restraint was also done up beautifully with large teak tables – not like the no-frills dining we have experienced elsewhere in a previous visit. The camps itself are beautiful – clean, very good linen, very warm blankets with extra blankets in the room already, the room has good heritage inspired furniture which adds a touch of luxury. This may be the only camp which had HOT water and Jaguar fittings in the washroom. This is not a no-frills tent – it is sheer luxury. The service matches the standard and is exceptional. Even the cultural event of new years eve was spectacular, despite the low number of bookings considering COVID. Overall, extremely impressed by the efforts of the staff and owners.

I recommend not to book this as they want to squeeze money in any way possible , I had taken lunch there with a daal & 4 roti/rice , but bill was 600 INR without any invoice or price menu, even 20 rs bisleri was charged 50 rs , when I asked they told me it is like this only, they dont behave like a proper hotel/camp but a road side third grade camp.
