Detailed Reviews
We made a reservation at this place through booking.com for January 10-12. If you look at the pictures posted on booking.com, you will be misled. When we arrived for check-in, they asked us to make a full payment even prior to checking in. And they had already asked us to pay 30% amount beforehand when the website clearly mentioned that we don't have to make a pre-payment. We had booked 3 "luxury" tents and when we saw them, they weren't very clean, and the staff had not bothered cleaning them before check-in. There were hardly 2-3 people present at the front desk. The guy who I had spoken with earlier regarding reservations was nowhere to be found, and was only available over the phone. The staff which was present were not professional at all, and had no idea what they were doing when we made any particular requests. For example, we asked them to clean our toilets which were dirty, and their replies were anything but acknowledging the fact that they were dirty. One guy even said that the water is dirty and hence the toilet looks dirty. When we complained about the lack of basic things such as soap or clean linen, their answer was they do not have enough personnel or the guy who was supposed to do the job was not present or was on leave. The towels and extra comforters had stains all over them. The main guy arrived the next morning, and when I listed all the above things to him, his reply was that "Sir, this is not a 4- or a 5-star hotel, and things will be dirty since this is a desert camp". But if they ask for money beforehand for EVERY SINGLE THING including room reservations and desert activities, then it is their responsibility to take care of basic things. Their charges are nowhere near a budget hotel, so they owe a lot better service to their customers. The singer they got for the cultural program was good, but other things in the program were average. The tea they served and the breakfast the next day were good and tasty. The activities in the desert such as camel ride, dune bashing, ATV ride and the sunset point were the highlights of the stay (although expensive), and the biggest positive we got from this stay was an amazing driver called Ganpat, whose contact was shared by this resort. However, he is a freelance driver and NOT associated with this resort. We checked-out earlier because we were not happy with the facilities, and we made a point to tell all this to the staff. We did not feel this is a good place to stay especially if you have parents who are senior citizens. Overall, I WOULD NOT recommend this camp until they improve their services significantly, and take the positive reviews with a pinch of salt.

The photos shown on their website and other advertising platforms are highly misleading and do not reflect the true condition of the property. The reality is a stark contrast, with a significant day-and-night difference between the images advertised and what guests actually experience upon arrival.
The tents are in poor condition, with visible stains on the fabric. Pillows and bedsheets are stained, making it feel unhygienic and uncomfortable. The towels provided are old, heavily used, and have turned grey, giving an impression of neglect and lack of attention to cleanliness. The property markets itself as a luxury destination, but it fails to live up to that claim. As soon as you enter the lobby, you are greeted by hanging exposed wires, which not only ruin the aesthetic but also make the area feel unsafe. The construction throughout the property appears incomplete and poorly maintained, with these exposed wires even visible in the eating area, further diminishing the overall experience.
The activities offered by the property are equally disappointing and not worth booking. Both, the night safari and camel ride in the “Thar Desert” experiences were a complete letdown—they simply took us about seven minutes away from the camp, set up a bonfire, and that was it. There was nothing remotely resembling a safari, making the entire experience feel like a poorly organized gimmick. Similarly, the camel ride was falsely advertised. We were promised an exploration of the Thar Desert but ended up at the exact same spot as the night safari, showcasing the lack of effort and planning. These activities are nothing more than a money grab and ruined what could have been enjoyable experiences.
Additionally, the difference between the deluxe and luxury tents is negligible. The so-called luxury tent only includes a small heater that fails to warm the room, making it just as uncomfortable as the deluxe option. Despite being promised a “night view” for the luxury tent, there was no view at all, adding to the overall sense of false advertising and broken promises.
The bathroom facilities were equally frustrating. The shower does not work properly, and guests are limited to using one bucket of hot water when the geyser is heated. For the next person to take a shower, they must wait 40-45 minutes for another bucket of hot water to be ready, which is highly inconvenient, especially for families.
The electricity keeps turning off during the day, making it difficult to relax or even enjoy the amenities. The blow dryer provided is very weak and inefficient, taking forever to dry your hair and adding to the overall frustration.
Even the dining experience was disappointing. The dishes were stained, adding to the unhygienic environment, and the breakfast options were inadequate. There were no fruits or cereals available for kids, making it extremely inconvenient for families.
From the misleading marketing to the poor maintenance, unhygienic conditions, and disappointing activities, the property does not justify the expectations it sets or the price it charges. I would strongly advise against staying here or booking their activities.

I had a deeply unsettling experience at a campsite I had booked for 2 days. What was supposed to be a peaceful retreat turned into a terrifying ordeal. The next day, the behavior of the owner and his threatening words made us feel unsafe and forced us to leave immediately.
He claimed, in an intimidating tone, “You don’t know my power. I have stripped many IPS and IAS officers naked and made them run from my resort.” These shocking and life-threatening remarks left us feeling vulnerable and deeply alarmed about our safety.
Ultimately, the owner forced us to vacate the campsite, showing no remorse or willingness to address our concerns. To make matters worse, he outright refused to provide any refund, leaving us not only shaken but also financially cheated.
This experience was both terrifying and disappointing, and I would caution anyone considering this campsite to think twice before booking.

I recently stayed at a The Carvaan Resort and it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome, offering a warm greeting and seamless check-in. The resort is beautifully maintained,
Our room was spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated, with all the amenities we could need. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the private balcony offered a peaceful spot to relax and take in the surroundings.

There are a few things that we are not happy about. He made a lot of promises that he didn’t hold. Also the resort pictures and prescription on booking.com wasn’t close of what saw when we got there.
-The camel safari was supposed to be 45 minutes but turned out to be 15 minutes plus 30 minutes of photo-taking by ourselves.
- We were pressured by the jeep driver to give a tip to the two people guiding the camel safari, and they refused to split the tip, forcing us to pay separately.
- Parasailing was supposed to be 5 to 10 minutes, but it was actually only 50 seconds. And it’s not even legal according to some people we spoke with.
- The jeep safari was supposed to be 45 minutes, but included stops to push quad biking and sales pitches, not a full 45-minute ride through the dunes.
- Promised facilities like a swimming pool, WiFi, sauna, campfire, hairdresser, and beauty salon were not available.
- The resort was advertised as a 5-star resort on Booking.com but did not meet those standards. There were issues like a leaking sink, dirty bed, and hours-long power outages.
