Desert Tulip Hotel & Resort earns praise for its cleanliness, with guests often highlighting immaculate rooms and well-maintained amenities. The staff's friendliness and helpfulness are well-regarded despite some guests experiencing slow service and upkeep problems. The hotel's exterior beauty and clean swimming pool stand out, although the provision of some basic items has room for improvement.
Opinions on value are divided; guests appreciate the quality of rooms and food but find some amenities and room conditions not up to par with the price. The atmosphere is celebrated for its cultural events and design, yet some guests find the linen quality subpar. Room reviews are mixed, with commendations for space and cleanliness but notes of maintenance and hot water issues.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed for a night at this property as our agent had booked this. It looks too good from the outside and we were wowed by its appearance as we approached it . Staff is friendly and all is good until we actually got to the room. No doubt the room size is huge in comparison to other hotels but it’s totally worn out. Old & rugged. Has musty smell and lacks basic aminities like tissue paper, hair dryer etc. Only tea bags were kept and not coffee!
The linen looked like it wasn’t changed since the last guest had left. I requested for fresh pillow cases as the very thought of sleeping on a soiled bed was sickening. Linen had stains and crumpled too.
Next, the locker in the room was broken. 2 technicians worked on it for nearly half an hour but couldn’t fix it still.
Hot water is very temperamental. Comes in dribs and drabs.
I give full marks to the staff and housekeeping who are totally obliging and deliver anything we request but as the property is vast and they are stretched with a lot to do, every request took at least 15 to 20 minutes to deliver.
Good example of looks can be deceiving. Management needs to have a good look at maintenance!!

Beautiful property with huge well maintained lawns. Big rooms
Good food .
House keeping is rather poor.
Swimming pool is the size of a puddle and opens only at 8am.. so can't use it in the morning before going for sightseeing

Have not come across a worse Hotel than Desert Tulip, Jaisalmer in my life. Zero service, very poor bathrooms, shabby beds and towels and completely untrained hotel staff.Staff does not respond to any of your call and despite we staying in a suite even the basic landline phone. Was not working. The resort looks good only in pics. All in all a terrible experience of staying for 3 nights. It's a complete mess.

Worst hotel till i ever visited. Ambience is nice bt staff is very bad in manner. We were as a trainee there and they treated us badly. MD is very rich still his thinking is very bad for everything. Dont visit the hotel ever . MD thinks 2 pieces of bread is sufficient for breakfast and this called crisis management. Wtf is this then y are u opening this hotel. And the fnb manager is very tharki kind off very arrogant in nature also.Only 3 chefs are there and they aren’t maintain cleanliness in kitchen. The kitchen is worst. But only the housekeeping staff is nice and friendly with the guest.

The hotel is very clean and comfortable and the views are beautiful. The swimming pool with hot water is very clean and helps to regenerate after hot trip in the dessert. Hope to be there again. Really thanks from tourists from Poland. See you again.

The ambiance of thios resort is awesome with a fort like palace feeling and expanse, a beautiful pool, fantastic welcome drink and welcome. Where it lacks is maintenance in room, our house phone had a problem, plug points which we could have used to charge our mobiles had a problem, the lighting was too dim in room for our liking and the curtains were all home to mosquitoes. The plumbing in the bathroom too hneeded some maintenance with the shower automatically starting even if you selected the tap.
Werer it not for these kinks, the hotel would have got a five star for the construction and ambiance. The food was decent but paled in compariuson to others which we stayed at in Jodhpur and Bikaner.

If only the facade matched the interior! While an impressive hotel with lovely grounds and a stunning reception area, it is clear that the rooms have been poorly finished with areas lacking paint, plumbing issues (one of our two rooms had lukewarm water while the other rocketed between boiling and freezing). A TV wouldn’t turn off (the outlet seemingly behind a very heavy cabinet we couldn’t move) and nobody seemed able to sort it.
The included buffet breakfast and dinner options were fine. The service generally was good.
As a mid range (3*) hotel it’s fine. It’s a shame because such a beautiful building in such a beautiful city could be so much better.

I recently stayed at this hotel for a few days during a wedding event, and it was an outstanding experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, from impeccable service to attention to detail. The rooms were not only comfortable but also beautifully decorated. The wedding venue was stunning, and the entire event was flawlessly executed. I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional hospitality and commitment to creating a perfect atmosphere for special occasions.

Very nice hotel with spacious rooms. The service was very good and they quickly accomodated any request (e.g., heater, extra bed, etc.). The restaurant had a large buffet for dinner with some western options (e.g pasta and chicken). The morning breakfast included cooked to order omelets and dosas. They also included an evening Rajashtani song and dance program.
