With a long wait until our 11pm train out of Jaisalmer, we chose to spend our last day chilling at the Grand Kalifa. After discovering the place the previous day in search of a rooftop chai overlooking the fort, we returned to enjoy a long lunch by the pool and conversation with the lovely host, Khan, who made us feel very welcome by bringing us pool towels, offering a place to shower and checking-in on us throughout the afternoon. We would definitely look into staying here next time!

My experience at the property was quite varied. I stayed at the property for three days in the kings suite. The pro are The property is situated near the fort It is very beautifully constructed and newly built. The rooms are quite big. You will feel like a royalty as the rooms are very well decorated with exquisite items and premium fittings. The cons are The locality is noisy and an extension of the property is going on in the back side The reception staff behaves like a budget hotel and not welcoming. The staff is not trained and appears to be daily wagers. The breakfast provided is basic not consumerate with the charges. The service is poor. The food quality is just okay though the price are very high.

We stayed here for three nights with our two young children and we had an amazing time. Ali and his team went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and we were given a spacious suite room as a complimentary upgrade. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a great pool. It has a large rooftop area and restaurant with amazing views of the Fort, which is illuminated at night. It is also a perfect location as is walking distance to the Fort. The food in their restaurant for both breakfast and dinner was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the camel Safari they organised for us. Ali was always there to help out and made us feel like part of the family. The Grand Khalifa has been one of our favourite hotels in our whole trip of India - definitely stay here if looking for somewhere outstanding to stay in Jaisalmer.

We stayed for two nights in early April, after arriving at 8am we’re were welcomed by the manager who allowed us to check in early. This hotel is without a doubt beautiful! It has modern rooms in the Rajasthani theme. We had a superior room and it was exactly as depicted in the hotel photos. The bed was the ne of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve had on our RTW trip.
The outdoor spaces provide shade and shelter form the afternoon sun and heat and the pool is a good size to cool off at days end.
From the rooftop bar and restaurant there are direct and stunning views of the fort which tempt the holidaymaker to venture up.
All in all this hotel is excellent value and is one I’ll stay in again when we return

We have had a good time at Hotel Grand Khalifa. The staff is very polite and kind, the food tasted very good and the room was truly beautiful and has all facilities you’ll need. We also booked our desert Safari with them, amazing experience. I definitely recommend this hotel for a good stay in Jaisalmer!

Gorgeous hotel with a rooftop restaurant that we dined in twice of an evening during our stay in Jaisalmer. The staff were super friendly and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The chef needs an award as the food at the restaurant on both occasions was nothing short of superb! Would definitely recommend as even though we weren’t guests and we’re staying in a nearby hotel, we were treated as friends and shown impeccable service for the two times we dined here - 10/10

Had a delightful experience during our stay at Hotel Grand Khalifa, Jaisalmer
Starting from the suite rooms which were very tastefully decorated to the view of Sonar Kella (Jaisalmer fort) from the restaurant on the terrace every aspect of our stay at the hotel was perfect..
Special callout for Khan bhai who not only arranged the desert safari for us but also joined us for the city tour taking us through the rich heritage of Jaisalmer.
The entire crew of Grand Khalifa - Shakeel, Peeru(Chef), Ghulam Hasan, Khayal Deen, Saleem Bhai and Rayees greeted us every time with a smile and went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
The breakfast though limited was made special with the warmth of the team and Rajasthani folk performance as a cherry on the cake. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a true taste of Rajasthani hospitality.
