The camp itself is a very nice and comfortable experience, and the staff are all friendly and helpful. They have done a good job maintaining the place. Unfortunately it fell short on some key things, particularly the camel experience. We are still in the pandemic and were put in a packed vehicle with 8 other guests not wearing masks. This for us was extremely uncomfortable and we were not given an option or notice. The camel experience itself was a bit of a letdown as our guides were children (again, very uncomfortable to be led by small children with no adult present) and the area of desert we were taken to was full of garbage. We walked to find a nicer location but it would have been nice to go a little further out on the camel. We informed the manager when he arrived the next day and hope these issues will be addressed in the future.

We stayed at Damodra for two nights, and it was really great. Everything went smoothly, from pickup at the airport, through returning to Jaiselmer. In our planning, we looked at several tent camps but had been warned that camps nearer the dunes, despite their advertisements of "exclusiveness," are really quite close to each other and you can hear noise from all the tents in the vicinity. At Damodra, there is nothing around for miles. That means it was delightfully quiet at night, just sounds of wildlife (animals, not people!) The evening program of music and dance was nice, the camel ride on the dunes was well-organized and fun. The tent was cute, bed comfortable, bathroom clean. The food was SUPER delicious and varied. We enjoyed every meal. Everyone was super helpful. (The visitor who complained about late dinner should have enjoyed the freshly-made snacks (yum) or asked to eat earlier - the staff were always very accommodating). Mr. Singh answered my very first email inquiry promptly, which was really helpful, and he was a charming presence at the camp. Overall we had a relaxing, comfortable, quiet, interesting time - just what we wanted! Highly recommended.

Very exclusive and family friendly resort. Cultural evening sans heavy noise, amazing hospitality and homely food completes the top experience. The place has just 10 cottages, which are quite neat. Peacock and bird chirpings are the alarm.

I can understand why this place is rated 5 star after having stayed here with my family last week. Amazing hospitality. The place is better than what the pictures show. It has the quiet, desert like vibe. You are in the with the nature. No late night DJ/noise that has now corrupted the Sam Sand dunes desert camps. This is a gem. The sand dunes that were arranged for a visit were secluded. We had <10 people there. Absolute gorgeous sand dunes with the privacy and fun with your near and dear ones, That is what you want. There were no vendors hassling you, no random noise. Brilliant sunset. Food - close to home cooked meal. The best meal we had during our entire Jaisalmer trip. The night was spent with bonfire, followed by brilliant star gazing. They have a specially made balcony where you can sleep under the stars! The Damodra team (Prithvi, His dad and the staff, special shout out to Madhav) made us feel warm and welcomed. The best part - their two Labradors - Bruno and Jazz. Absolutely adorable! Our daughter had great fun with both of them! I wish more people will come and visit this camp. Highly recommended!
