I had an amazing experience at Domodra. I visited Rajasthan with family for 10 days; Jaisalmer was the best part of our trip pretty much because of our stay at Damodra. The camp is located in a secluded area with limited number of tents which affords guests the luxury of a quiet and peaceful experience. The rooms are well equipped with all amenities, clean and comfortable. There are peacocks all around and amazing views of sunrise and sunset from the place itself. The owner and staff are supremely hospitable and accomodating to all possible needs. They arranged a sunset camel ride, dune bashing, city tour, village tour among other things. The food is traditional Rajasthani and feels like home. There is local music and dance performance organized every evening. In short, its a place that stays with you long after you have left and I thank the team for this experience.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy the nature and hospitality like home , Damodra is the place for you . I visited with my family in dec the weather was cold in the morning and night but pleasant during the day time . Camp tents are with amenities and Washrooms are neat and clean . The owners Prithvi and Sumer are gem of a person and make sure their guests are well taken care , staff is humble and well mannered. Very professional people yet down to earth and treats you like a family member. I have stayed with many 5stars and 7 stars but the warmth of this place is unique and unmatched . Had a gala time at evening with bonfire and folk music performances, my kid enjoyed the puppet show . Day tours to longewala and border was also arranged on reasonable price ,camel ride and dune bashing is a must do experience something very different than Dubai dunes . Overall experience is extremely enjoyable and relaxing. Stay time recommendation minimum 2 -3 nights to explore at ease .

One of the best Desert Camp in Jaisalmer. I would highly recommend for evryone to visit this place if you looking out for some homely experience with camping. Mr Prithvi who is the owner really goes out of his place to make sure everyone is comfortable. Entire staff treats you with such warmth and smiling faces. Food is really amazing and they include the local food too. Their local folk dance group kept us entertaining throughout the night and it wasn't boring at all. The property is extremely amazing, the tents itself are very clean, with all amenities and most important very clean bathroom and toilets. They have made sure that the entire stay is relaxing and comfortable. Do not forget to enjoy the star gazing experience where the entire light of the camp is switched off in order to see beautiful sky in the night. Cheers to Prithvi for bringing up such an awesome place.

In close proximity to Jaisal Lake, a beautiful Oasis, and close to Khaba fort and Kuldhra village- an abandoned fort and village with an interesting history, Khabia village- a warm welcoming village, Damodra Desert Camp is an incredibly well constructed camp, where the rawness of the desert is not disturbed but provides all the amenities for a super comfortable stay. We were 2 girls, and it was absolutely safe and secure. We checked in for one night, went to a isolated beautiful sand dunes nearby, where you would meet a lot of local musicians. We came back for a nice campfire with amazing snacks of the highest quality, and a lip-smacking dinner. We later had a local entertainment of music and dance. We had very skilful artisans, comprised of very talented dancer and a traditional musical group who put up a wonderful display of show if dance and music for us. These were all artists from Damodar village, from where Prithvi, the owner of the camp is from. We then saw millions of stars at night when they turned off lights and even saw a shooting star. We also saw peacocks and a bunch of rabbits that Prithvi takes care of. He has very friendly dogs, make sure you meet them. It was great speaking to him, a real good samaritan, who provided the resources from his own pocket for cleaning up the deserts and roads and keeping the general area clean, even though it was not connected to the camp. The staff and guests were personally very well taken care of. Prithvi himself has a lot of inspiring stories about his travels, how this camp came to be and his future plans. A great part of the experience is talking to Prithvi. The overall experience was impressive and surpassed all expectations we had. I was very happy that the camp and the entertainment was very tasteful, elegant, and not loud or gaudy like many other camps.

This camp is far from the crowded area, in fact only tent in this part. There are lot of greenery around which was a surprise and bit disappointment going for a desert camp. Rooms are really good, clean, support staff are very courteous, food is exceptional and evening program will really make it a day. They all are from Damodra village and you can see the team spirit & warmth in their approach. Overall worth spend one day - BTW don't forget to have a chat with Prithvi. listen to his experiences and future plans...

This small boutique camp in the desert was amazing. After spending time in crazy Delhi, the peace and quiet was a real welcome. Relaxing plus the best part was watching sundown with a chilled bottle of wine. Staff amazing..they knew what we needed even before we did. Entertainment was traditional along with the great food. Far away from city life, the star show at night was amazing. If you want that quiet personal touch in a small area in the desert where you can read and watch the world go by, this is where you should go. Thanks to everyone who made this perfect visit to the desert!!

We are a family of 4 from the uk. Having travelled to many countries around the world, I can honestly say that the hospitality we experienced was fantastic. Both Mahdhev and his team were excellent. We were also greeted by the owner Prithvi who was very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay from the moment we arrived. After some rest time in our desert tents (which were clean and comfortable), we travelled to the nearby Thar desert and experienced a camel ride to the dunes. This was followed by sand boarding down the dunes. We then witnessed an amazing sunset! In the evening, the camp hosted a native music and dance show outside which was fantastic. During the show, the hosts provided soft drinks and snacks. Following the show, dinner was provided which was varied and delightful. After dinner, we went to the star gazing observatory where we lay on comfy sofas and watched the thousands of stars in pitch black. We even managed to see 2 shooting stars! Overall the visit was personalised and fantastic and would highly recommend the experience.

Room Tip: Don’t expect a 5 star hotel, as this is a desert camp! However you will not be disappointed.
